0:58 This is Undaunted Life, a man's podcast.
1:22 I'm your host Kyle Thompson.
1:24 Let's get into it.
1:25 All right, guys.
1:26 We've got a special guest on the podcast today.
1:27 His name is Victor Marks.
1:28 I've had a lot of fun on this one today.
1:29 He is a high-risk humanitarian evangelist, author, speaker, filmmaker, and philanthropist.
1:35 I'm not sure I've ever had someone on here that was a high-risk humanitarian.
1:38 We talk a little bit about that in this particular episode, but he has done humanitarian work
1:42 and active war zones in Iraq, Syria, North Africa, and Southeast Asia.
1:47 And when I talk about humanitarian work, I'm not just talking about taking bottles of
1:51 water to people or things like that, but we're talking about going into very kinetic situations
1:55 and helping out people that can't help themselves, going into situations where people are being
1:59 trafficked and getting them out and taking care of the people that are doing the trafficking
2:04 as well.
2:05 He also, you may have seen this guy on different things online or something like that.
2:09 He has the world's fastest gun disarm.
2:11 He has the world record, so that's where he literally takes the gun from somebody and
2:14 turns it on him.
2:15 So you've probably seen some of those floating around on the internet.
2:18 He's the founder of all things possible ministries, and he has an autobiography called The Victor
2:22 Mark Story, and he also has this new book out now called The Dangerous Gentlemen, A Call
2:26 for Christian Men to Be Courageous in a Culture of Correctness.
2:30 And so the thing about this interview today, because I've told you about this with other
2:33 interviews before, again, I fill out all my questions.
2:36 I kind of get an idea of like, okay, if they just answer my question straight, here's kind
2:40 of the web I'd like to weave and the narrative I'd like to take the audience on.
2:43 But some of my best interviews are where we don't get to a third or even a quarter of
2:47 those questions.
2:48 And that's what this one ended up being today, because there's not really a soft place to
2:52 land with him in his story, because if you've watched his interview on the Sean Ryan show,
2:56 which I highly, highly recommend that you do that, I'm not going to put it in the show
2:59 notes, because I don't know where all you guys listen to these things.
3:01 So because it was multiple episodes on YouTube, but also on Apple podcast and Spotify.
3:06 But just search Victor marks Sean Ryan, and you'll find it, but suffered a tremendous
3:12 amount of abuse, like astonishing amounts of abuse.
3:15 And the thing was he even said in the interview today, he's not going to rehash that.
3:18 Like he did the Sean Ryan thing, he went way deep down the rabbit hole and he's just not
3:22 going to do that again.
3:23 But we were able to talk about this at kind of a higher level about the abuse that he suffered,
3:28 the difference between physical and sexual abuse, and then like psychological abuse,
3:32 because one of his stepfathers systematically electrocuted him.
3:35 One of his stepfathers held him down underwater until he basically was asphyxiated and almost
3:41 drowned.
3:42 He was physically abused by a neighbor and then put into a freezer and was left for
3:47 dead essentially.
3:48 But this guy amazingly found a way to overcome that and Christ saved him and we talk about
3:54 his Christian walk.
3:55 And we kind of meandered into a lot of different areas where we talked about the problems with
3:59 cowardice in our modern culture and how that gets perpetuated and why men should really
4:04 look to become a dangerous gentleman.
4:06 What does that look like?
4:07 And how can we look to Christ as our example of how a man can become that?
4:12 But also the fact that most men are just scared of what it would mean if they actually became
4:16 dangerous themselves and how they should really overcome that.
4:19 But we weaved in and out of a lot of different subject matters.
4:21 I really, really enjoy my time with Victor.
4:23 So guys, without further ado, let's get into it.
4:27 Victor Marx, welcome to the Daunton life of man's podcast.
4:29 It's great to be here, brother.
4:31 Appreciate you having me.
4:32 Now, Victor, I've been practicing all week because I just knew I was going to mess up
4:36 and call you Karl Marx.
4:38 And so like, because I've told several people, they're like, Oh, who are you interviewing
4:41 here?
4:42 They're saying, I'm like, Karl, Mark, Victor Marx, Victor Marx, Victor Marx.
4:45 Has anyone ever messed up and like introduce you at a speech as Karl Marx?
4:50 Not Karl, but I've, you know, I've gotten other things, normally it's the reversal of
4:58 my name, Marx, Victor, and because I kind of have two names, but here's what's interesting.
5:06 My biological dad's name was actually Karl Marx.
5:11 Oh, no.
5:12 Yeah, Karl Marx said it's quite the story.
5:16 He's the only child, Louisiana, my grandmother named them after the doctor who actually, you
5:23 know, miracle birth.
5:26 And boy, later he ended up earning a degree in philosophy and study, like, that's why
5:32 it became a boxer and a cried him in old jujitsu, man.
5:36 Hey, I completely understand that.
5:38 But you know what?
5:39 I made it through the introduction.
5:40 I did mess it up.
5:41 And I have to do it again.
5:42 So go me.
5:43 We are on the right track to start out here.
5:45 But I just got to be honest with you, right from the beginning, Victor, with what I know
5:49 about your story, having read your book, having listened to your other interviews, I always
5:55 look for kind of like a soft place to land as we kind of jump off on an interview.
6:00 But with your story, I mean, it's rough.
6:03 There's nowhere to just land because it's just rough, no matter where you go.
6:07 And so you spent a lot of time talking about the things that we're going to get into today,
6:11 that our audience is used to the rougher things.
6:13 And so I want to just go ahead and start with your childhood because you experienced something
6:19 and you went through something that unfortunately a lot of people have gone through, but your
6:23 experience is obviously unique to you because I think it would be fair to say that you experienced
6:28 extreme amounts of abuse in all ways that a child can be abused.
6:33 And it's shaped how you view the world and shaped the work you do to this day.
6:38 And we'll certainly get more into that.
6:40 But let's go back to your early childhood.
6:43 If you would even paint like, you know, just 30,000 foot view, paint a picture for our
6:46 audience about what it was like growing up, Victor Marks.
6:49 Yeah, you know, it's again, like you said, it's not on typical for families to be busted
6:57 up or dads not to be there.
7:00 And for me, you know, my father didn't claim me as his child when he got my mom pregnant.
7:09 And this is from both their accounts is the night I was conceived.
7:17 He actually put Rosary beads down her throat in a pistol to her head.
7:22 And I've only had one sit down with them both in my whole life.
7:28 And that's what they told me during a lunch.
7:30 I was like, good Lord.
7:34 And you know, my mother wouldn't end up marrying like six times on and my father, you know,
7:44 and look here, here's a deal, neither one of them knew their identity.
7:48 When a person doesn't truly know who they are, they both came from challenge backgrounds.
7:56 You know, you're just hell bent on repeating it.
7:58 My father was spent time at a boy's home as a kid and my grandfather was a professional
8:06 fighter starting with bare knuckle, then went into boxing and was ranked second in the world.
8:13 But you know, his, my dad's parents didn't make it and my mom's followed it and, you
8:20 know, really claim her in the sense of he had another family.
8:25 So yeah, it was unfortunate and a lot of instability.
8:31 And then my mother, the next man she made after my dad was, he was a pedophile.
8:40 And you know, I never said anything Kyle for years, years and years and, and, and actually
8:48 I waited until he was dead. And once he died, man, I was in my gosh, I was in my thirties,
8:57 you know, and late thirties and I was like, and I only started talking about it because
9:04 my relationship with the Lord kind of warranted it where I felt like I was saying, yeah, I'm
9:13 going to use your story in a redemptive way to give other people hope.
9:17 So that's it. And, you know, I was on the Sean Ryan podcast. And that's where I told it
9:24 all. And I told my wife and Sean, I said, this is it. I'm never going through this again.
9:29 I spent five hours with him. But like one, there's one clip that had like 22 million views.
9:37 And I remember a, a dev group guy contacted me like the next day, a team six, and he's
9:43 just like, Hey, man, can we talk? Like, of course. So it definitely struck a chord in
9:52 people's hearts to give hope of someone who, you know, suffered abuse and there was torture.
9:59 And I was left for dead in a commercial cooler. So I can say about all that is, but God, regardless
10:10 of what you come from, if you allow God to redeem it, and it looks different for everybody.
10:17 But whether for me, you know, 123 visits to trauma specialists, to get my mind working
10:25 the way it should, and faith in Christ, I believe the Bible, and then forgiveness. And
10:36 that's probably the best thing I can tell folks is just forgiveness is getting up your
10:42 right to hurt someone back for hurting you. And revenge boy, revenge is a, revenge is
10:51 a type of lust that can never be fulfilled. Even if you break arms, wood chip people, whatever,
11:02 it's just as good revenge. Not so much. Well, revenge is mind safe. The Lord, I'm pretty
11:09 sure he had a reason for telling us that. And yeah, I think it's a great commercial for
11:13 the conversation that you had on the Sean Ryan show. I think I know the name of the dev
11:18 group guy that reached out to y'all. I'll ask you off air. The thing that I found that
11:24 was interesting about your story. And again, you elucidated it perfectly and you dove
11:28 as far into those stories as you could on the Sean Ryan show. So we're not just going
11:32 to rehash that. Thank you. But I guess for me, having not grown up in an abusive situation,
11:39 the abuse that I was aware of or have become aware of Victor was always, you know, physical
11:44 like beatings or sexual, but you specifically have talked about the psychological torture
11:51 that you went through from from different men that your mom, mom brought into the house.
11:56 And so I know they're a bit of my audience because I've spoken with them and they've
11:59 reached out to me that have experienced things that are at least in the vein of what you've
12:04 experienced. But for for someone like me, who was blessed enough to not go through any
12:08 form of torture, much less psychological, can you help me understand the difference?
12:13 Because there's one thing where you get your, you know, you get beat up right in a street
12:17 fight. And there's another thing where somebody is like almost taking up residence in your
12:21 soul. If that makes sense.
12:23 It does. And wow, really well stated, Kyle, to set this up because, you know, physical
12:30 and physical abuse, you heal from that. And a lot of times you just suffer. That's all.
12:38 I mean, you know, try to get in a fight with a man who was beat as a kid. He's thinking,
12:43 good luck. Yeah, have fun with that. You're about to be my therapy. So, and I'll tell
12:50 you as just functional it is for some dads to beat on their boys or get drunk, whatever.
12:55 That's a dysfunctional way. A lot of times with them, especially older generation saying,
13:00 I've got to make you tough because this is the way the world is. And I remember talking
13:09 to a young man. And well, he struggled with that because his dad, you know, really, man
13:16 would counsel me to fire out of him. But now he's out of the house. And I said, so man,
13:21 you ever been in a fight? He's like, yeah, I said, you ever lose? He goes, no. I said,
13:28 well, that's one way to look at it positively. And, but because again, if someone's being
13:37 pounded on or beat or you're going, well, you know, he's doing like because he doesn't
13:41 love me. Maybe, maybe in his most dysfunctional way, that is his way to show love by God,
13:51 I'm going to make you tough as you can. I don't agree with it. It's better to put kids
13:57 and jujitsu and boxing and, you know, all that. But, you know, for me, the psychological
14:04 aspect, when it's combined with physical abuse, and then there's what I call lies based in
14:15 reality, those are the ones that that will mess with you long term. For instance, I had
14:24 a memory where, and believe me, I man, I tried to set all this stuff off encapsulated. But
14:34 it started coming back. And that's when I knew, because bad stuff in a person's life,
14:42 it's almost like you get good at holding a beach ball underwater. But the moment a big
14:49 wave comes boom, it pops up, and you're like scrambling to push it down. So for me, and
14:56 it's okay. It's like a red light warning in your car. You know, you don't want it, but
15:01 it's saying, hey, something's going up in the noggin. So let me help you out. And God
15:08 made us stay healed. But on the point of lies, like there was an incident where I was dunked
15:12 in a tub. He kept just dung me to tell them, I was just a little kid, and I was trying
15:18 to hold my breath. And finally oxygen deprivation, I passed out. But I woke up to him breathing,
15:25 you know, to resuscitate me. And I'm sure what in a big deal, as far as because it was more
15:31 just like passing out, versus water and taking when I came to he, I'm looking up at him and
15:38 he goes, boy, don't you ever forget, I'm the one that gives you life. Now as a little kid,
15:45 that's me truly believing he could have killed me. So it's the same or being electrocuted
15:52 where, you know, it's if you've ever been shocked, once the shock stops, the joke, you
16:00 don't actually take a breath. Most of the time, it's just air comes out because it's
16:04 trapped. And then why? So when he was electrocuted me very systematically and intentionally knowing
16:15 exactly what he's doing, when he would stop and air would come out, because I saw him
16:20 coming at it again. And I'd tighten up and take a breath. When that air would come out,
16:26 he would say, boy, do you know what sound that is? It's the sound of hope leaving your
16:29 body. So you get these type of, again, lives based in reality, I believe they were engineered
16:39 by forces of darkness. And if I cannot factor in my worldview, evil and demonic, and light
16:50 and darkness, then I would be in a nut house for sure. And and I believe now I've been
16:57 on a psychiatric care. There was a time period where I was taken. I've done Depical Depochine
17:03 Prozac Zoloft with the abuse bar, I'm in and out of the VA. And, you know, but the grace
17:09 of God, I would be in a place. So having that type of mental warfare, and look, to some
17:19 of your listeners and men watching, please don't compare life stories, not [inaudible] contest.
17:29 Because it bothers me a little bit when people go, Oh, man, you know, I had a rough child,
17:35 but it's not bad as yours. I'm like, what it doesn't, you know, if I punch you right
17:41 now and break your nose, you're going to feel that just the same as if I got punched
17:48 in a nose broken 10 times. So a person's pain is relative to their experience. And all pain
17:56 in my opinion is equal. Just the consequences are different, meaning, you know, I punch
18:04 in the nose, but then you cut a finger off of mine. It's like, okay, well, you know, here
18:11 are a girl I rescued, great example. A girl that we rescued our team in Southeast Asia,
18:18 the guy actually cut her hand off after raping her and throwing battery acid on her. And
18:24 it was horrible. But we got her long story short. We actually, I gave her my promise
18:32 we'd catch him. It took us a year. It took us a year and a bunch of money because he
18:38 was wealthy. We found him and we got him. The guy's rotten in a prison right now, horrible
18:44 conditions. But you know, that sweet gal, her name is Nora, and people can find her on
18:51 our website, her stories on there. But Nora's like, she's got the most joy. She's the happiest.
18:58 It's been a few years now. She's actually on staff with us. Her life is so redeem. And
19:05 she got a nub. And I remember pulling the sleeve off her nub. I said, I want to make
19:13 sure you're not faking it. And she's just, she's like, you crazy, man. I said, yeah,
19:20 more than you know. So, but now she helps other girls who've been abused. And it's pretty
19:27 amazing. She actually came to the US did radio shows, spoke out of college, and some folks
19:33 over at MIT made a prosthetic for that's pretty cool to barn a can. So yeah, man, men who've
19:40 suffered rejection of a father, or maybe a good dad who was there, but just didn't connect
19:46 with them. Or whatever it is, just it don't be little, you know, but don't say a victim
19:55 either. That's what I would say. Somebody said, so you survived. He's a survivor. I said,
20:02 well, well, well, I said, I did survive, but I'm not a survivor of a thriver. If I stayed
20:10 in that survivor mode, man, there'll be a lot of things really bad in my life. But I won't
20:17 say that. I won't, I won't play the victim. Well, I want to echo your sentiments on the
20:21 comparison thing, because people will also play the testimony comparison game in the Christian
20:26 world. And so they're like, Oh, you know, I grew up in church. I got saved at a Wanna
20:29 or, you know, vacation Bible school. And so I don't have a testimony like you. You used
20:33 to be a drug addict. You used to be a prostitute. You used to be a porn star, whatever the situation
20:38 is. And it's like, no, no, no, right now, I will say for someone who lived an incredibly
20:44 depraved life, their understanding about their need for a savior might be different
20:48 than yours, because to take care of your depravity and pay it in full, it feels a little bit different
20:54 than the gal that, you know, always sat in the front row in class and never gotten trouble.
20:59 And you know, never told a lie that type of thing. So that would be the one caveat. The
21:03 one thing that you mentioned at the very beginning victor is you were, I forget how you worded,
21:08 but that you were destined to repeat what was happening to you. And when you see any
21:13 abuse situations, and you read any of the literature, it's like this is a generational
21:17 thing that's happening. Very rarely do you see this just literally come out of left field.
21:22 These are things that are generational. These are, you know, you could think of them as generational
21:26 curses or things like that. And so for you, why aren't you repeating this? Like, why are
21:32 you talking to me right now? Because you and I are only connected because of, you know,
21:35 tangential ministry connections. Why didn't you repeat exactly what was happening to you?
21:40 Well, it's interesting. I mean, I can remember, because when I said father was an alcoholic,
21:49 I'm like, I will never drink. I will never drink. Because I mean, the stuff he did when he was an
21:55 alcohol is always connected, right? It's what they call it spirits. I guess what? I'm in the Marine
22:01 Corps drinking, fighting chasing women. All of a sudden now, I'm like, well, I never want to be
22:07 like my biological dad. Well, I'm working as a bouncer. And I've got this rage inside of me,
22:15 and I'm gone. Oh, when it came time to abuse children or women, it stopped. There was something
22:26 in me even before Christ that I said, that's, that's unholy because all other stuff I was doing
22:34 mainly had to do with me. There'd be, there'd be, you know, yes, of course, I would hurt other
22:41 people, but children and women, no way. So I believe a man can say, and it's true. What do you
22:51 think prison? They don't put child molasses with other people. I remember in my 13, because I've
22:58 dealt with a lot of gay members and cartels and, and there's even a code at the time I was working
23:06 with them and doing stuff. And I was like, don't you do, you know, speed, don't you do math? You can
23:14 do a bunch of other herbal stuff, but don't. So, but overall, because I saw my brothers who
23:28 followed some aspects others they broke away from, but the power of God, listen, this is what,
23:37 this is what I don't get. It's a pretty good deal. If God's power, if he says, I'll place my spirit
23:47 in you, and it's the same power that raised Christ from the death, and then the fruits of the spirit
23:53 are all these things. I said, that's what I want, because I can't live a life beyond some of those
24:02 things that are, could definitely get me, and I don't want to be like, unless I have,
24:09 unless I can be transformed. There was a fellow in the Bible, he's a terrorist against Christians,
24:16 Paul, and his name was Saul first, but I mean, Paul was as good as Isis, he was hunting Christians
24:23 down and making sure they died. And he has an encounter with God, the Lord Jesus man, and
24:29 boom, his life changes. So, that's the number one reason I can tell you that is different. I've
24:37 learned to find my strength and my identity. And here's the third thing, this is probably the best
24:44 advice I can give to anybody. Because we live in such a following world, the best chance for men
24:51 to understand their identity is, is get to know God Almighty as a father. Jesus refers to him as a
25:00 father a hundred times, just in one book, it's called the book of John. He says he's a father.
25:07 That was the hardest thing for me to do. When I became a Christian, people would be like,
25:12 God, the father would be like, yeah. And then, you know, I'd be around people like I will and
25:17 daddy. I'm like, it's kind of weird, man. But I'll tell you, slowly coming to understand him
25:26 as a loving father, it's made a difference in my life.
25:31 Hey guys, real quick, as you've likely heard me talk about on the show before, it took me
25:35 forever before I started taking supplements of any kind. I was always nervous about taking like
25:40 whey protein and creatine or really anything beyond that, because I was just afraid of what was in
25:44 the product and if it was going to like give me cancer someday or something like that. And I was
25:48 always scared of these companies, these supplement companies, just cutting corners and using low
25:53 quality products and eventually putting things in their products that could cause problems for me
25:57 in my body. So I've always wanted to partner up with an American company that uses high quality
26:01 ingredients in their supplements. And that's why I want to remind you guys that we are partnered
26:06 with Jocko Fuel. So Jocko Fuel is Jocko Willing's American based supplement company. So what are
26:11 some of my favorite products that they make that I also use? They have the best tasting
26:15 greens powder on the market. I love the peach flavor myself. They also make whey protein powder,
26:19 the banana cream is my favorite. They make energy drinks, the Jocko Go energy drinks. My favorite
26:24 is currently a tie between their iced tea lemonade and their pink lemonade flavors. I also use their
26:29 creole oil, their creatine, their vitamin D, and also their sleep aids. And they make a bunch of
26:34 other stuff like ready to drink protein protein cookies, which are actually really delicious. My
26:38 boys even like them pre workout powder and much, much more guys. If you take your health and wellness

27:03 And so Victor, to take that a little bit further, I have talked to men that had
27:07 not your story, but a crap dad nonetheless. Every male figure in their life was junk,
27:16 even their coaches just took advantage of bad, bad, bad. And so when you talk about a heavenly
27:24 father, they have that same visceral reaction that you just had like, you can miss me with all
27:29 that father stuff. Or, you know, they were over mother and under father, maybe one of those
27:33 situations. And so the only examples of manhood they've seen are these kind of, you know, limperisted,
27:39 you know, navel gazing men that, you know, aren't strong. And so they know what a strong woman is
27:45 kind of, but they don't understand the order that God gave us of a family where the man is the head
27:50 and the woman is the help that they are different, but equal all at the same time.
27:54 And so go a little further with your advice about, okay, get to know God as God the father,
28:01 God of the, of the God head, God the father, get to know him as your heavenly father. Because
28:07 I've spoken to prisons before Victor and like, that's been one of the most incredible things. And
28:11 what do you want to bet the number of those guys that didn't have a good male role model in their
28:15 lives? Almost all of them experience that. So when I come in there and talk about the heavenly
28:19 father, I take the air out of the balloon and I talk about the fact that most of you guys in
28:23 here have never seen a good example of the father. But just because you're under lock and key doesn't
28:28 mean that you can't still be free. And freedom comes from a perfect heavenly father that would
28:32 never do to you what your earthly father did. But what would be your advice to those guys that just
28:37 like flat out never, they've never seen it. So they don't even know what to look for. Yeah,
28:41 well, they gotta, they gotta want it. They've got to have enough hope that it's real.
28:49 It's like a total fellow the other day. I said, look, man, what if God really is he really has a
28:56 fathering heart? Because and when you think of father, you have to think in terms of the perfect
29:05 father, not not just examples you've seen. Because there's two extremes. There's a there's a passive
29:13 lemperist, a dude who managed to coward. And then I do like the term toxic masculinity,
29:22 because there's that extreme guy who's just like abusive, he's a bully. Yeah, he's just a punk.
29:28 But you think about the perfect father, whose children are his greatest concern.
29:41 And when you become a dad, you find out how imperfect you are. And you're like, oh,
29:47 but you realize how much you love your kids. And then you're like, oh, man, this is okay. God,
29:56 if I love this little one this much, you must love me. I can't even. So I like to think of God as a
30:04 father, like I am me, none other people, and how I consider the perfect if I was a perfect dad,
30:15 this is how I would be, right? And, you know, a couple of things.
30:20 My daughter, when she was like 16, 16, I had COVID, me and a couple of teammates had COVID.
30:33 And I just finished being out of base, actually for Carson. And, man, I pushed it, you know,
30:45 I pushed it, I, it could have been better. But I was like, no, no, I can do this. So I throttled
30:51 me and my, one of my teammates. But long story short, now it's pretty sick. I was pretty sick.
31:00 And my daughter tells my wife it's the first time I've ever seen dad, where I don't think he could
31:10 protect us. That's, that's not a small thing, provide and protect. While I was still sick,
31:21 I had my daughter come in, I set up, I said, Hey, I heard what you told mom and I understand
31:28 your apprehension. But I said, I said, sweetie, listen to me, baby girl, it's my embrace in this
31:35 house. First of all, they got to get through our key lines. They got to get through our
31:40 every donacies. But trust me, I don't care. I don't care if I'm dying. Always got enough in me to
31:49 kill a man. And I said, you will never have to worry about that. And I may look at my eyes,
31:55 I go, do you believe me? She's like, Oh, yes, sir. I said, okay, don't ever doubt that. So,
32:00 I liked the idea of a Heavenly Father who is protective of us. And Jesus said, if you've seen
32:07 me, you've seen the Father. So if a man will just read those first four books or listen to them,
32:16 for me, I'm not a good reader. I got enough years on my noggin. I want to be a better reader.
32:26 But I'd say this, I listen to the Bible, I listen to scripture all the time. And
32:34 when I hear about what Jesus did, fashioning a whip, throwing tables over, that speaks of strength,
32:41 because they want no little Ikea tables. Those are all wood. And I go, all right. And yet he's
32:49 saying, hey, don't suffer the little kids that come under me. Don't stop them. And then he's not
32:55 mad when a lady with an issue of blood touches the him. And he goes, whoa, virtue just left. She
33:01 gets healed. And then he said, it's better that a man would have a big old millstone, big boulder
33:09 tied around him and dropped him to the deepest part of the sea than a mess with a kid. I'm like,
33:14 whoa, this is a good dad. This is a dad that every kid should want growing up. But I want him as
33:24 my Heavenly Father now, which allows me to talk to him. Like, I'm not afraid. Even when I sin,
33:32 I just, I was telling someone the day, they're like, what's the best parent you can buy? I go,
33:37 I can tell you where I messed up. And I said, you know, about once a year, I put my hand through
33:43 something. I just, you know, it is what it is. And one of the last times I've been many years
33:54 fellows outside of one incident, but that was someone else. And that was appropriate. But I'd
34:01 say this, I put my festival wall by the door. I was just playing. And my wife and children are
34:08 like, okay, go get a picture. And you know, they're going to hang it over. Like, dad finally reached
34:15 his peak. And that's how I, and then I lean, she's like, Hey, babe, I have a guy come patch up. I said,
34:21 stop, yo. I said, take the picture off. Leave that right there. And I looked at my kids and said,
34:28 this is not a good example of your Heavenly Father. He's perfect. This example of your earthly dad,
34:36 who's who's still being worked on. And I'm sorry if this calls any type of fear, but I would never
34:44 do this to y'all. I would never, this is just me not using my words. And when, but I said,
34:51 leave that hole there to my bride, leave it there. She goes, honey, when people come over, I said,
34:56 I wanted to see it and go, what's that for? And they're going to see, you know, it's about six foot.
35:01 Hi, Danny. I go and then I'll explain because it'll keep me humble and remember.
35:08 Hey, well, there's, there's a lot there. I think one through point of what you said, Victor,
35:14 is, and I can't remember who said it first. I would like to be able to give them credit,
35:18 but it's with your family, with your bride and your children, it's a lie in for them,
35:25 lamb with them. Yes. Okay, lie in for them, lamb with them. Because here's the thing,
35:30 if your children and wife don't know that the lion is around or available, they're insecure,
35:35 because they're like, crap, we're exposed. It's exactly how your daughter is like, oh, shoot,
35:39 out of nowhere. But if all they ever see is lying, then they're, it's impossible for them to operate
35:46 because the level of anxiety is always so high and so ratcheted up that that becomes so problematic.
35:53 But that's the issue for guys that are wired like me. I'm kind of crazy. I got that crazy ginger
35:57 energy. I'm very driven. I'm very, you know, I can get aggro and I have to really think about
36:00 that. But it's like, look, Jesus wasn't only turning over tables, but that was an option.
36:06 And that was premeditated righteous aggression. We have no indication that Jesus can seal
36:10 carry to whip. We, he left, made a whip came back, and it was sustained aggression for a long
36:16 period of time. And it was violence done against animals and people, right? So good property. Yeah.
36:22 And so that's, that's the thing that, but I feel like we lose that thread, Victor, and I don't
36:26 think modern day churches do us any favors. And we'll segue into the dangerous gentlemen here in
36:30 just a second. But I think we've really lost that thread. And if men could just marinate on that one
36:36 thought of lying with them, lamb for them, I think that we could solve a lot of issues. What do you
36:42 think? That's one, it's brilliant. And to just so you know, little Paul's, I really appreciate you
36:49 as a brother and a fellow dangerous gentleman. I appreciate you, college. I just want you to know
36:55 that. Thank you. So I often tell women at events, hey, let your husband out the crowd,
37:08 let him run. He's going to mess up, but it'll be self correcting. But if you keep trying to
37:19 do behavior modification, you'll make him, you'll ruin the lion, you'll make him a little lamb,
37:27 and then you'll push him into being a hamster. And
37:30 the reality is men, kids and women, we've, I mean, we're said this, but they want a protector,
37:42 but they want a man under the authority of God that shows that level of, you know, he's tempered,
37:50 but he's capable of maintenance, you know, power under control. I learned that early on,
37:56 because I got saved while I was in the Marine Corps. So, you know, you either had to do or
38:01 don't as a Christian. So I started going, all right, I'm going to be all in, but the
38:06 meekness and that's where I think the church is messed up through this behavior modification.
38:14 They're like, whoa, are you getting mad? I'm like, well, the Bible says, gee, we're supposed
38:21 to get angry. I wish a lot of men more get angry at the right things, but just don't sin. So that's
38:32 where this psychops of stupid pastors taking scripture and twisting them, mainly because they can't fit
38:42 into a righteous, golly, mortal, masculine man. So they're going to, they're going to kind of
38:49 twist things to make you feel okay with them. And then how does a man come into a church,
38:54 look at that guy and go, that's who I'm supposed to be like, which if pastors are honest,
39:01 a lot of them, because of the ego, we're like, yeah, if you make it up here,
39:05 you know, if you can be like this guy, I'm like, oh, when I speak, I'm like, you better look past
39:12 this broken vessel. You better look right up to Christ, because that's the only one. And I
39:19 explained like a team effort. I said, the quarterback is not more important than the lineman.
39:26 You know, you take one lineman out of the deal, and the body of Christ, we all have our lanes
39:32 to run in. You know, I work with a lot of special operations, folks, and, and you know, for everyone,
39:42 for every operator, let's say in the unit, the support system around that one operator
39:49 is unbelievable. People can't even imagine. So that's, that's kind of the body of Christ.
39:57 But I'm, I'm excited that there is a shift, and there is, because in my generation,
40:05 I got saved in the 80s, it was behavior modification, love Jesus, love Jesus. Whoa, you know,
40:13 so I was kind of always an odd man out, because like, like I went on staff at a church,
40:23 and they put me in a position too quick. Uh, and I, they had me doing counseling. I wasn't even
40:30 married at the time, but this, if you heard this story, it's, I've heard it. Please tell it. It's
40:36 amazing. I'm embarrassed and joyful to tell it all at the same time. I just, because you got no
40:43 my heart fellas. I'm not promoting lain hands on people, but this dude had messed up cheat on his
40:50 wife multiple times. And, and he would come to me and say, Hey, can you, cause his daughter,
40:56 their daughter was in my group, little biopsy group. So I'm at the church. He'd come in and I'd
41:01 get them back together. After a few times of this, uh, the wife calls me and she says, Hey,
41:08 he's high on math. He just got violent. Instead of hitting a wall like me, he hit his daughter,
41:15 the youngest one, a toddler, man, the mom's crying. She says, what do I do? Cause, you know,
41:21 trying to be Christians, I said, you call the police. This is what we do. We use authorities.
41:26 You call the police, call them as for your baby. Uh, if she needs that or take her to the doctor,
41:32 you know, and she says, well, if he comes to the church, I just want you to know what happened.
41:37 Guess what? That fool came to the church and he comes into my office. Uh, you know, and I get
41:42 him in there and he's like, Oh, I don't, you know, I messed up again. And I said, I know your wife
41:50 just called and he's all, Oh, uh, and then he knew he was busted. Like there's no smack talk.
41:58 He was busted and he goes, uh, I don't know what's wrong with me. I said, you hit your toddler.
42:04 You put hands on your little gut. And I, now I start feeling myself as a kid who was abused.
42:12 And you know, it's like, Oh, I try to, it's almost like the
42:15 male Gibson and the patriarch, he wants to keep all that stuff on a little chest and the hidden.
42:22 It's like, I don't want to open that thing. But man, I, I started opening that and he goes,
42:28 he means he's goes, I don't know. It's wrong. He goes, maybe I should be hit. And that was like
42:34 a righteous waiver. So I said, I agree. And I wasn't emotional about it. Just very convinced.
42:42 So I slammed them on the ground and start working them, hurting his feelings. And he's
42:48 screaming in the associate pastor, they Lord told him he comes running in the office. He's like,
42:55 what's going on? You know, vector victory screaming. I want this guy. And he goes, Victor coming. And
43:02 I was a young, again, younger, just out of the Marine Corps. And I was on a black belt team.
43:08 So fighting was a pretty comfortable conflict. And he's like, come here, Victor. And so I come
43:15 on. He goes, Hey, we don't hit people when they come to the church. I'm like, no, no, I know that
43:22 normally. But he said he should be hit. So that's kind of like a legal waiver. And the guy's still
43:28 in the office like, And I tell Taylor goes, let me take it from here. I'm like, Oh, okay. And I
43:37 literally at first, yeah. But don't you think that guy thought twice the next time he got angry
43:44 and balled up his fist? Yeah. Yeah, I won. She divorced him. And too, he never had the opportunity.
43:50 But he did know that in that town, if he ever touched that kid again, I think he had the fear
43:57 of God in him that I would come and rearrange him. And I remember walking down the hall,
44:04 you know, first kind of, you know, in my trouble, she said, I've done that, you know, every pastor's
44:10 office I passed, all these different, they're all like, did you hear? I'm like, yeah, go get
44:16 you some Easter. And so I don't think, I think the legal system and you can't rebuke somebody,
44:25 you know, in church, there's just not the fear. I'm just, I'm reading a book listening
44:32 called God's Generals. And you want to be, you want to be challenged. I've done the healers,
44:38 evangelists, which they're all messed up. I can tell you right now, I'm a bunch of crazy
44:43 people, gives me hope. And then I'm on the revivalists, Jonathan Edwards, you know,
44:53 the Wesley Buzz, I'm like, well, it's unreal somehow tough. These preaches were, and there's
45:02 different levels of tough. You know, a baseball player is not going to be tough as a wrestler.
45:07 Let's just face it. A guy runs a five K fast. He ain't going to be a marathoner necessarily.
45:16 And certainly not an ultra marathoner. And I've worked with guys who are. So there's different
45:21 levels of toughness. And, uh, and I'm just like, man, some of these preachers, circuit
45:29 preachers with on a horse, man, like thousands of miles, I'm like, how in the world? So I just
45:40 think we got to come back to some of this. And guess who's going to do it? The men listening,
45:46 you watching right now, it's you. You're up. I'm getting, I'm getting along the two. My next
45:52 birthday is six zero. And, um, and I'm on like a, I think I can go pretty hard for another 10. And
46:00 then, uh, send my heart back down once I hit 80. And if God gives us, but I mean, my wife and I,
46:10 we're working on every, every, we're just, it's like, I was at this, uh, pal. I spoke to this
46:18 group of pretty wealthy dudes. They haven't come in. And I love them all. It was my first time to
46:24 speak to them. And I said, Hey, are you mission ready? And I'll tell your men right now. Are you
46:29 mission ready physically, most women's firstly, because things can go sideways on our country like
46:35 that? Like kind of wholesale, but individually things can go sideways in your life. Like that,
46:42 a lot quicker. And I'll be surprised if people don't experience them. But I, I told these men,
46:48 I said, Hey, physically, are you mission ready? I said, some of you? Well, some of you just fat.
46:53 I'm gonna tell you like it is you're, and I'm not talking about surgeries or illnesses or
47:00 things that would impede you. Some of you just got lazy. You got wealthy and you got lazy.
47:05 I'm like, come on, man. Can you drag your wife out of a burning house or a vehicle? Can you defend
47:11 your family? And I thought they'd run me out of there, which, you know, I'm always, I speak like
47:19 I'm never coming back. But man, all of a sudden, I'm the most coded guy out of that whole weekend
47:26 with all and there was some good speakers there, man. I was like, dang, but God use my words of
47:32 truth and wrongness and honesty to challenge men to go, look, you just can't come to another event for
47:39 behavior modification and move to need a little bit. You got to be transformed with something so
47:46 radical. Yep. Well, Victor, like whenever I go and speak places, I talk about so our mission is
47:52 equipping men to push back darkness. How do we do that by creating content that forges spiritual,
47:57 mental and physical resilience, not strength, because strength wanes over time. Resilience is
48:01 that toughness, that ability to bounce back. And my style is very similar to yours. My style is
48:05 burn it down and walk away. Why? Because I don't live in your city. And so if you bring me to wherever's
48:10 ville, Tennessee, and you want me to come and speak to your men, guess what? I get to fly home
48:14 tomorrow, right? And so it's like you have to stay here and deal with all the stuff that I got stirred
48:19 up. But if you're not ready with a net, some bottles of water, it's going to be a little bit
48:24 of an issue. And I warn people, I was like, don't bring me in. If you don't want, do you listen to my
48:27 show? Do you know the things that I say? Because it's like, I'm not really concerned about everyone's
48:31 feelings primarily. But also, I think the problem that we see, Victor, and this does go into the
48:36 dangerous gentleman, which I talked about in the introduction, and it's in the show notes, guys,
48:40 we're not going to be able to cover the book because we're just getting into the conversation.
48:43 Part of the issue is that people don't see Jesus the Nazarene as a tough guy. And neither did I,
48:49 because I became a Christian at the age of 15. And I grew up in a Christian home, but it was like,
48:55 I call it country music theology, because you grow up in Oklahoma. You know, your parents vote
49:00 Republican, they listen to country music. So you're a Christian, and because grandma was a Christian,
49:04 right? Like, so you're Christian by dent of birth, right? But at the age of 15, I became a Christian
49:09 for myself. And what I did when I looked around, is I'm like, okay, I'm 15. I'm learning what it
49:14 means to be a man. I'm also learning what it means to be a Christian. And I came to the realization
49:19 that those are just separate things. And so it's like all the godly men are inside the church. God's
49:24 love like prayer, prayer circles and limp handshakes and khakis and all that stuff. And that's fine.
49:29 And if you need prayer, that's where you go. But all the manly dudes are outside the church doing
49:34 man stuff. So they were like lifting weights and killing animals and learning how to shoot and
49:38 learning how to fight and all that kind of stuff. And I thought there's just no crossover here.
49:42 And it wasn't until Victor until my early twenties, when I started reading the gospels for myself,
49:47 and I'm like, hold up, wait a minute, this Jesus dude seems pretty rough. Because like, if you look
49:54 at the timelines, he didn't clear the temple once. He cleared it twice. He cleared it once
49:57 after he did his first miracle of turning water into wine. And he did it once after he
50:02 triumphantly returned back to Jerusalem. This is something that he did twice. He made people so
50:07 mad with the words that he said that they got together to try to kill him. And I've said some
50:12 incendiary things and I've never had a group of people try to get together and try to take me out.
50:18 And so it was like crap, the problem was not that Jesus wasn't a tough guy. The problem is that we
50:23 depict him as if he's not all these, you know, mosaics and all this artwork where he looks like
50:28 this soft feature Danish model in not a Middle Eastern Jew somehow. And he's always just walking
50:34 around real light and just kind of telling people how cute they are and how much their sin's not
50:39 that big a deal and how much he just loves him was he was he and it's like, wait a minute guys,
50:43 it's like, you seem to have gotten the Lamb of God part right, but you've skipped the Lion of Judah.
50:49 He's not 75% Lamb and 25% Lion. He's 100% Lamb and 100% Lion. But we don't do that. We don't talk
50:57 about it. And it's to our detriment. It's certainly to the detriment of the next generation that
51:02 you're trying to get, you know, set up and ready to go Victor. I couldn't agree with you more.
51:07 And that's what would be exciting for men to to find out who the Lord is for themselves.
51:15 You know, I mean, we can shine a light on the path we've been on, but it takes a man being hungry
51:22 for spiritual truth to go. Well, let me check it out. Let me read and be honest. You know,
51:28 there's that comedian actor that's recently got saved. What is his name? He's English.
51:36 Oh, Russell Brand. Russell. The dude's doing Bible studies on his podcast.
51:43 And I'm not checking out his theology because I don't really care right now, right? But he's like,
51:49 Jesus and this I'm like, yeah, and this is a mind blown. Oh my gosh, what?
51:57 Two years ago, whatever, he's sitting on his bed with his computer going, I'm sick of porn.
52:03 Porn has destroyed my life. And he's not a believer. He's just talking about
52:08 he came to the end of himself and realized this is sin. So he started looking at Buddhism,
52:13 right? And all of a sudden he is like, Jesus. Sean Ryan. Sean Ryan gave his life to the Lord
52:22 not long ago. And, you know, you'd see him, you know, potty mouth, Navy's, you know,
52:30 former branch guy and agency. And I loved it because I like, you know, because one I like,
52:38 I really appreciate intellectual honesty. And I don't mind people being passionate.
52:47 Even if we disagree a thousand percent, if they're sincere, if they're sincere, because that
52:53 man, I've got people on my team's Muslims to, you know, I've had atheists. One guy's like,
53:00 you do know him an atheist. We were in Iraq. Do a ministry where I go, you do know I'm a Christian.
53:07 He goes, I said, Oh, I said, look, I didn't hire you as a security detail because of faith.
53:17 We got that part covered, brother. I said, but just do your dang job. You speak four languages.
53:24 You got a ton of experience. And he's like, yes, sir. Got it. And he did excellent.
53:31 So it's just, I love it when guys take personal responsibility to start searching the scriptures
53:42 or finding out more instead of just BS. And you know, oh, I went to church or I read the Bible,
53:49 really, but parts how much would you come up with? It's like, man, just be honest.
53:54 Well, Victor, it's not, it's not how many, it's not how many years you've been a Christian,
54:00 it's how many hours, buddy of mine once said the same thing. And so you have guys that are like,
54:04 I've been a Christian since I was a kid. How many hours have you been a Christian?
54:07 Then that starts getting into how often do you study the Bible, how often do you spend time
54:11 praying how often you spend time sharing the gospel, ministering to people and those types
54:15 of things. It becomes problematic. Well, we're, we discipline ourselves on whatever we want to do.
54:21 Right. Period. Financial, athletics, shooting, whatever fishing, whatever it is, we discipline,
54:34 and we spend time and money on what so I, I always kind of go, man, just be honest.
54:42 You know, you suck at being a husband because well, you're not spending time and effort and
54:49 trying to, how can I love this woman the way she needs to be loved or spiritually? He's like, oh,
54:56 well, she goes, well, why don't you, man? It's actually on you. And with this book, The Dangerous
55:02 Gentleman, look, you hear shameless plug. Pada. Look, I only have one shirt. That's, I just,
55:10 that's okay. You just keep it rotating. It's good. I wash it at night sometimes.
55:15 You know, it's, I believe, because for those who don't know, we, we hunt pedophiles, we have what's
55:25 called the pedophile hunter fund on our website if you want to help us. And I mean, we have super
55:32 qualified train teams. We work at the highest level in through with law enforcement in other
55:39 countries, sometimes military. But we cannot, we can't arrest this problem away. And, you know,
55:54 everybody's like, get a wood chipper. You know, and I'm like, well, in other countries, I've seen
56:01 decisions made where people go away. And for all kinds of things, terrorism and all this. But,
56:14 but I'll tell you, like last year, 31 million images of child sexual abuse, videos, or, you know,
56:24 in the US, and less than 400 prosecutions. So, you know, we developed the think tank brought
56:33 off look guys in the best minds and all this, in my opinion. And I said, how do we, how can we move
56:39 the needle? Just, you know, not photo ops, like some people do, because a lot of people don't
56:46 realize when you see, you know, 27 people arrested for sex, most of those people are going to get
56:51 fined 100 bucks. They got their face in the most of them don't even get convicted. It's they're
56:57 arrested. So it's there's, so here's a three things I would say men, please listen to me,
57:06 because men are the problem, not women. You got your wretched Jezebel's out there who
57:11 will pimp out and set up and groom. The men males are the main problem in this area.
57:19 And the three things is, one, we organization of things possible and, you know, protecting
57:29 children is its task force. Listen, we're only going to go after the worst guys, the guys filming,
57:39 the dads using their kids, guys are actively abusing children. That's where we want to spend
57:49 the bulk of our donations for that initiative, training, equipping, follow up, the justice aspect,
57:59 respect, which it's all expensive. But we want to go after the worst of the wickedness. Two,
58:07 we have to be there. Listen, it's going to be hard for somebody. We have to be there for young men
58:14 struggling with looking at child stuff, because the largest group is 20-something-year-olds. That's
58:24 the fastest growing number of people in the dark way of getting stuff. They're, because they're,
58:30 they're numbed to regular porn. And we're probably going to start like a 1-800 number.
58:35 So guys can call in, nobody knows who they are, and we'll pray with them and counsel them,
58:43 because that doesn't exist, right, because there's so much hatred toward it. And look,
58:48 there's someone who's been abused by a weirdo. So it's, it's possible to help them
58:55 get them off a path of horrible stuff. And then the last aspect, just people say,
59:04 how can we help? I tell guys, stop looking at porn.
59:08 Yeah. Honestly, I get it. I call people, there's the samplers, the strugglers,
59:15 and there's people who just full on in bondage, and it's ruining their life. And I tell people,
59:22 don't sample. You know, when I was a kid, you know, it was the old Playboy book underneath the log
59:28 in the woods where all the neighborhood kids wouldn't look at, oh, a movie. But it's, it's a slippery slope.
59:36 Don't, you know, and then people return to it and, you know, like, oh, I kind of struggle.
59:42 Just know that God, if his spirit's in you and his eyes, he uses your eyes to look at things and
59:50 he don't want to look at the porn. It's, it's, so when you stumble and you fall, man, just instantly
59:58 repent and then don't make a way for it. I tell people, if your smartphone is what's leading into
1:00:04 this, then break it and get a flip phone, get an analog. Do you know my son, my youngest son,
1:00:11 we gave him a iPhone, I think he was 15. After like a couple of months, he brought it back to us.
1:00:19 He's like, no, thank you. The temptation is way too easy. I said, oh, yeah, I said, good on you,
1:00:27 son. And, and he goes, I just want to be, let me be strengthened in that area,
1:00:32 going through all this puberty stuff. And that kid's actually been with me into Iraq.
1:00:39 He actually, he turned 12 there. That's a funny story. He got a birthday in Iraq doing all the
1:00:47 fighting. And he comes up to me and his mom, he goes worst birthday ever. I'm like, oh, yeah,
1:00:55 I let him hold a grenade for his birthday. That's a pretty good present. Yeah. Well, but,
1:01:00 but Victor, like to your point on porn, I've had guys, so many guys reach out to me because I do
1:01:06 an episode at the beginning of every year called how to avoid being a crappy man in 2024, in 2023,
1:01:11 whatever. And there's just a bunch of different things on there like, hey, don't let sports
1:01:14 ruin your night. Hey, make sure you're studying the Bible with a group of other guys. Hey, make
1:01:18 sure you know how to fight. But I always put on there, no porn, no masturbation, because I think
1:01:22 part of our issue with pornography is that we frame the problem improperly. We don't have a
1:01:26 porn problem. We have a masturbation problem because I don't know. Yeah, I don't know if anybody
1:01:31 that just watches porn for the cinematography or for, you know, the acting chops. Yeah. Yeah,
1:01:36 yeah, they're there. Yeah, that's exactly what they're doing. They're studying. They're taking
1:01:39 notes. But like, that's the thing. And so I tell guys, because like for, I think I'm on, it's either
1:01:43 14 or 15 years where porn and masturbation has not been a part of my life. And for a guy that is so
1:01:48 driven sexually, that's like impossible. That's like, there basically aren't people walking around
1:01:53 like that. And so that's not for me to to my own horn. But it was like, I realized one day,
1:01:58 because I went to some of these groups, some of these, you know, products groups and these
1:02:02 guys, I made it two way. Yeah, I made it two days. And oh, hey, you know, I did this and I did that.
1:02:07 And I'm like, this, this, these are, there's no overcomers. These are settlers. And that,
1:02:11 and I'm just like, this isn't for me. But one day I realized, I was like, wait a minute,
1:02:14 if I just second Corinthians 10 five and take every thought captive every time I get a boner,
1:02:19 it's like, then probably I'm not going to masturbate. And then I just kept doing that over and over
1:02:23 and over and over again. And guess what? If you're not going to masturbate, you have no need to seek
1:02:28 out the imagery that is going to be your masturbatory aid. And so I think that that's part of our
1:02:33 problem is that we frame things so incorrectly. And it becomes a massive problem. And I do want to
1:02:39 talk a little bit about the dangerous gentleman, because I had a bunch of quotes I wanted to get
1:02:42 to, but all this stuff was great. So you showed the book, The Dangerous Gentlemen, a call for
1:02:47 Christian men to be courageous in a culture of correctness. There's a short quote that I think
1:02:51 kind of elucidates this dichotomy of dangerous, but also gentlemen, it's a short quote. But it's
1:02:57 here in the West, if the secular institutions and the demonic forces controlling them are finally
1:03:01 calling us dangerous, then why not just go ahead and be dangerous? And I was reminded of this
1:03:07 senator that proposed this bill, this new law that would keep people from being able to do
1:03:12 paramilitary training. So if my Glover is going to do a class on how to do a tourniquet and how
1:03:19 to shoot and move and how to get off the X and all that, nope, that's paramilitary activity,
1:03:24 you can't do that. And so it's like, Oh, wait a minute. So daddy government doesn't want us to
1:03:29 be tough and to be able to operate if things go poorly. And if something goes wrong, and if
1:03:35 that the threat is not a foreign threat, but a domestic threat from our own internal government,
1:03:40 weird that they wouldn't want us to all be tough. But I feel like that's kind of the crux
1:03:44 of a lot of the things that you talk about in the book to where it's like,
1:03:47 okay, if you're going to call me these things, I made it as well trained so that you're at least
1:03:51 accurate. Yeah, it's uh, when you were reading the crow, I was like, that's pretty good. Oh,
1:03:58 I said that. Oh, wow. Okay, that's, uh, that sounds good. Yeah, for me, uh, it's just that
1:04:08 deal of we, we've, you know, we've done the yoga deal flexing and getting in contorted positions.
1:04:17 So we don't want to offend somebody. I'm like, I don't give a flying squirrel sack
1:04:24 if someone's offended because I trained for forget about it. It's, it's, uh, no way. Because this is all
1:04:34 new. This type of mentality, uh, I'm offended. Don't call me like, and listen, uh, I posted a
1:04:44 funny thing to do about a trans. Um, and somebody was like, you know, somebody goes, oh, uh, I saw
1:04:53 you were with Caitlyn Jenner. And I'm like, yeah, he's a friend. Oh, you used the wrong pronoun.
1:05:03 I go. Yeah. I go. He's the one that told me, Victor, I don't give an F about pronouns.
1:05:09 And, uh, cause he's, he's actually a friend. He just texted me the other day.
1:05:14 And, you know, what people don't realize about him is, you know, you got to look at everybody.
1:05:24 And this is the balance of being bold. And I'm gonna do it. Look what other people are doing.
1:05:32 Can not Christian men at least live with that level like when Black Lives Matter hit and then
1:05:39 Tifa and all this. The first thing I said about Black Lives Matter, I mean, when it first happened,
1:05:45 I just, I just said, Hey, man, I hope the goodness they don't get corrupted by bad leadership.
1:05:50 Uh, like day one, when it came out, I said, who knows? Maybe it'll be a good movement.
1:05:56 They were corrupt from the beginning, right? Everybody knows it. And then people would be like,
1:06:01 and Tifa's coming out and all this. I go, well, they're doing something. It's all weird and bad.
1:06:12 But man, what, you know, and then the people who were trying to get their point of view,
1:06:18 I go, look, there, that's actually weird faith in action, right? It's a perverted faith in action.
1:06:25 So we as men, nobody should shut us down. It's like, Oh, you disagree with me?
1:06:31 It's okay. It's all right. Yeah. And yeah, believe me, the church, there have been Christian
1:06:36 groups that came after me years ago. Uh, and they're like, Hey, you know,
1:06:43 you all set up a stuff. I go, Hey, look, I don't mind truly passive people. I mean,
1:06:51 men who truly are known and have a conviction of like the movie of that fellow is like, I don't
1:06:59 want to carry a gun. Hacksaw Ridge. Yeah. That's a genuine. It's like what I said earlier.
1:07:06 It's a deeply held genuine belief. And I'm like, man, I support that guy's right to do that,
1:07:14 because it doesn't disqualify him. I don't put him down. He's a stellar warrior to me.
1:07:19 But I said, those of you men out there, Christian man who are coming after me screaming about
1:07:24 Jesus wouldn't do this. Jesus wouldn't. I go, you're just hiding behind a wrong gospel.
1:07:30 Cause you don't want to step up and trust me, there may come a day where it's men like me
1:07:37 that you're going to thank God for. Uh, and Victor, I gotta tell you this. So have you ever heard the
1:07:45 name Shane Clayborn? Yes. So this is a, he is a pacifist, anti gun, Christian activist person.
1:07:55 And so this guy goes around the country and he, he does these events with literally
1:07:59 tens of people and the, he will convince them to bring their firearms up to the stage and to have
1:08:06 them destroyed right there in front of them. And so this was years ago, it'll take me a little
1:08:09 while to unpack this, but I think you'll appreciate it. Um, uh, Justin Briarley with, uh, the unbelievable
1:08:15 podcast where they typically have a debate between a Christian and an on Christian on a certain topic
1:08:19 or whatever, he emails me out of the blue and cause I had done a complimentarian versus egalitarian
1:08:23 debate because they were trying to get me to debate these Christian feminists and the Christian
1:08:27 feminists kept dropping out when they realized that I was going to be on the opposite side of the debate.
1:08:31 Uh, so Kristen Cobay is domain. She still owes me, uh, the Jesus and John Wayne gal. She still owes
1:08:35 me a debate. I'm still, uh, still mad about that one, but he goes, Hey, there's this activist Shane
1:08:39 Clayborn. I know you're a gun owner. Would you like to do a debate on guns? And I'm like, you know,
1:08:45 second amendment and guns and stuff like that isn't even like in the top tennis stuff that I
1:08:48 talk about on the show. But yeah, I'll, I'll go smack him around for a little bit, no big deal.
1:08:52 And I knew it was going to be a quick, uh, quicker than, you know, you can expect type of debate
1:08:57 because there's commercial breaks and there's his talk time and there's a host talk time.
1:09:00 And so I'm like, if this was going to be like two hours, I was going to drag him into deep water
1:09:04 and drown him slowly, but I kind of had to hit him in the face a little bit, you know, pretty quick.
1:09:08 I put him to something cause he lives in Philadelphia and, uh, I put him in a scenario. I'm like, okay,
1:09:13 you don't have any kiddos, but you and your wife are, uh, you know, in your home and, you know, glass
1:09:19 breaks in the middle of the night, there's a problem. What are you going to do? He goes, I'm
1:09:22 going to call the police. I'm like, great. The average response time for 9/11 across the country
1:09:26 is seven minutes. That's if they answer and that's if they don't have a busy signal, but let's just
1:09:30 assume it's seven minutes. So there's seven minutes until help arrives. What are you going to do in
1:09:34 the meantime? Well, I guess I would try to look through the house and see where the person is. I
1:09:38 was like, great. So you go walking through the house, you don't find him, you come back to the
1:09:41 bedroom and he's there. Your wife's in the bed. He's in between you and your wife. Now what?
1:09:46 Well, and he just kind of vacillated and he, you know, did all that kind of stuff. But finally,
1:09:51 I got him to say, well, you know what? I would do anything I could to protect my wife. I'd grab
1:09:56 a chair. I'd, I'd grab this or I'd grab whatever. And I'm like, okay, this is where we, where we
1:10:01 start to agree, Shane. I said, you and I in that scenario, we don't want the fight to be fair.
1:10:07 I don't want the fight to be fair in your favor. You don't want the fight to be fair in his favor
1:10:14 because he's armed. All you have are your limp wrists. And now it's not only your butt, it's
1:10:19 your wife's butt and good luck because he's going to make you watch. But then at the very,
1:10:24 very end, uh, you know, we're trying to paint playing nice at the end of the debate or whatever.
1:10:28 And you know, I said, Hey, you know, I'd love to have a meal sometime. Let's go get a cheesesteak
1:10:32 or something in Philadelphia. But I said, Shane, I promise you that if you and I are sitting across
1:10:37 from a table and someone comes into that establishment looking to do harm, you are going to be hiding
1:10:43 behind a guy like me. And if not for guys like me, guys like you would have no chance of survival
1:10:49 because the odds of you being able to protect yourself and make it out of that situation unharmed
1:10:54 are incredibly low. If you are not prepared before that situation arrives at your doorstep,
1:10:59 because at that point, there's no time to train. There's no time for a prayer circle. There's no
1:11:03 time to call for help because evil, the wolf is now at your doorstep. And that's the thing. That's
1:11:08 the problem that we have. And I know I've kind of gone on a diatribe here, but I want to read one quote
1:11:13 from the from the dangerous gentlemen because I think this is the actual point because the point
1:11:19 we're making is it's not about sincerely held beliefs about pacifism. It's not about that.
1:11:24 It's not about wrong theology that leads to pacifism or any of that. It's about cowardice.
1:11:29 So I want to read this quote. This is my favorite quote from the book. Men who refuse to be dangerous
1:11:34 aren't gentle. They're cowards. Cowardice is not gentle. It's passive violence. Cowardice,
1:11:40 which includes passivity in the face of evil is danger in the wrong direction. Cowards leave
1:11:45 innocent people in the path of evil. The most dangerously bad people in the world are nice looking
1:11:49 folks, men and women who allow evil to advance and put up no fight. You find them in bureaucracies,
1:11:55 workplaces, churches, schools, everywhere. They sometimes make it appear that they are
1:12:00 putting up a fight, but in the end, they give away with plenty of excuses and explanations.
1:12:05 These people may seem conciliatory, moderate, reasonable and peaceful, but they are actually
1:12:10 warmongers in different costumes. They are enablers of wickedness. At least evil people might be
1:12:16 straightforward with you about their motives. Cowards layer deception on top of it. They're not
1:12:23 just afraid of fighting. They're afraid of people. They're afraid people will know that they're
1:12:28 afraid of fighting. I think that's it. I think you have your thumb on the pulse. You're over the
1:12:33 X with that because again, and Jordan Peterson said this, it's like being incapable of violence
1:12:38 doesn't make you virtuous as a man. It makes you worthless as a man because it's an entire concept
1:12:43 of meekness. It's you have the sword, but you leave it sheath until you need to. You don't go
1:12:47 into the bar waving the sword around. The dudes that I trained you jits with, all of our black belts,
1:12:53 these are the most calm alphas you will ever meet in a bar. So when accidentally scuffs their
1:12:59 shoes, oh, excuse me. Sorry. I didn't realize my foot was there. Guys want to start popping off
1:13:03 and going poking people in the chest. They're like, Hey, brother, there's, there's an easier
1:13:07 fight at the next bar. Like, let's just get on with our evening. Would you mind if I paid for
1:13:10 your drink before I left? Like that type of thing, these guys are looking for a fight because they
1:13:15 know what the actual ramifications of real world violence are. I've talked for way too long. Ready
1:13:19 to go. Oh my gosh. I love it. And you know, it's the most capable men that I've ever worked with.
1:13:34 I'll tell you one thing. They never had to tell you how bad they were.
1:13:42 That's no, it's so when you hear men, you know, punk beating their chest and you know,
1:13:51 I asked a young man one time, I just got back from a rotation on a rack and I'm sitting on a
1:14:00 curb in front of a gym eating Chinese food. And this guy comes walking out. He's swole up. He's
1:14:09 ginger. He's wearing a tank top and he wants to buy me and I feel like the Lord wants me to talk
1:14:16 to him. So long story short, I said, Hey, man, he looks over at me. I said, what are you afraid
1:14:21 of? He was what? I said, what are you so afraid of? He goes, I ain't afraid. I ain't afraid of you.
1:14:30 I said, I didn't say me. I'm just old guy lion eating my food. And you know what? He said,
1:14:40 what do you mean by that? I said, no, I believe you'll fight any dude around here.
1:14:44 But you sure seem scared. And I said, has anybody ever affirmed that you got what it takes just
1:14:54 as a man, being like any step back. And he goes, no, I says, well, I train warriors. And I do things.
1:15:06 And I know one when I see one, and I said, you are that man, you don't ever have to try to prove
1:15:14 your value and your metal by looking for something. That's what I mean about being
1:15:21 you're scared that people will think you're not something. And we had a little bit more words.
1:15:27 He's actually thanked me. And he says, what's your name? I told him. And I said, you can Google
1:15:36 my name if you want. There's some stuff out there might help give you better content. He walked his
1:15:42 truck got his truck, googled it. And he was jumping up and down. He was so excited. So I think there's a
1:15:48 lot of young men and men that you never want to try to just be something, like try, just just be,
1:15:59 just like, that's where I'm at. Recognize your weaknesses, your institutes, but never be afraid
1:16:06 to withhold violence because somebody's testing you. I'll close with this today because it's my most
1:16:15 recent and I mean, my gosh, as one friend said, I don't know what it is about you. But there's always
1:16:26 something going on. I go, I know, man, trust me. I think I got a reputation. I try to get rid of
1:16:37 that most men want says, but man, you got a lot of fire for this stuff. Here recently, someone tried
1:16:44 to kill me in the US. And they shot at me. I was watching President Trump steal today kind of
1:16:54 got me a little emotional hearing him talk about the incident. But the guy shot at me through a
1:17:00 tinted window, elevated about a foot above me, and about three feet away. And around missed my eye.
1:17:10 Didn't hit my ears about two fingers away. And but when he shot, he shot through this
1:17:17 tinted window frame, the frame, aluminum full stuff got in my eye. And it cut me. And I was so
1:17:28 grateful that, you know, didn't hit me. But I instantly put my weapon and put my red dot on him.
1:17:35 And it got off the X. And I heard the Holy Spirit say, don't shoot him. And I didn't struggle. I just
1:17:41 put my weapon to lower that is like, okay, I moved many shoots again. I moved to a different
1:17:49 location. My wife calls 911. It was almost it was almost 20 minutes response. But I, you know,
1:17:58 I told my wife, I don't want to kill this guy. But if he comes out of that trailer,
1:18:03 this way, I'm gonna, I'm gonna have to engage him. And I'm gonna kill him. Just please be ready.
1:18:10 And, you know, I've had, I've had people tell me, oh, I want to kill him. I just would have killed
1:18:21 him. I go, see, now, I would never say that in any other situation. And I always say,
1:18:27 well, have you ever killed somebody? Because I know what that's like. And it's a pretty permanent
1:18:33 decision. So I could return fire and blast this guy. But I got off the X. He can't shoot me, but I
1:18:42 can shoot him. And hearing God's voice say, don't there's a reason behind it. Now he went on to do
1:18:50 some bad things. It was a five and a half hour standoff. Got arrested and sadly the, you know,
1:18:56 family, people girlfriend, belt him out. And then killing someone killed the girlfriend that
1:19:02 belt him out, shot her face off of the shotgun. And I had to literally go to court a couple of
1:19:08 days ago, because of the second attempt at murder charges against me. But I'm telling,
1:19:14 I just want to tell men, especially young men, don't, don't fight or engage or react,
1:19:21 because you're trying to prove yourself. It's the worst thing. Be, be steadfast,
1:19:29 solid, prepared, know that there are, there are outcomes. And hear the Lord. I know when I've heard
1:19:39 the Lord to say yes. And I know one of her, his parents say no. And he's never felt so
1:19:50 trained like you need to be prepared. Even today, as we record, you know, on this, there was a
1:20:00 shutdown of computer systems, banks and airports, things can go sideways globally pretty good.
1:20:11 And finally, and you know, I love to visit with you more in the future. But you know, we were in
1:20:19 Israel, days after Gaza, we took a team in, because we had access and placement with SF teams there.
1:20:25 And we helped about 6,000 kids with trauma, relief. But you know, the two things,
1:20:31 the two responses I got from so many men who were actually in the cabutes fighting,
1:20:38 I said, how could this happen? I mean, y'all Israel, come on, give me a break, little Hamas.
1:20:44 They said we underestimated our enemy. And we were underprepared. And that's why
1:20:51 thousands have died. It's horrible. And me and another teammate, we actually went into Gaza.
1:21:00 We were the first Americans, the Israelis would tell on us, y'all the first Americans to go in
1:21:06 here with us. And the most important thing I did was pray. Most important thing I did was pray.
1:21:12 So I've encouraged men to be prepared physically, emotionally, and most important spiritually,
1:21:21 because we're all going to die. And I think Trump was that there's a level of humility that
1:21:29 comes with knowing, you know, inches away, or half an inch or a quarter of an inch away from
1:21:38 getting your head rearranged. And he, he publicly admitted it's by God's grace is God. And I do
1:21:46 the same. That's why I did a video for him. I was like, we may not be hard to find. We're just
1:21:54 hard to kill. And that's a level of confidence that you get from walking off the Lord, knowing
1:21:59 the truth, or else, you know, you got no business doing stuff. If you're always worried about dying,
1:22:08 you got to walk in boldness and all these areas. And so yeah, I have, I have good hope for America.
1:22:16 But the change will be through the men, not the women. And that's, that's the bulletproof mindset
1:22:23 that we need. But I mean, Victor, we've gone everywhere in this conversation. We went a little
1:22:27 bit over our normal a lot of time. But I think that we're all the better for it. But that's all
1:22:31 for me. Is there anything else you want to get off your chest? Protect your marriage. Protect your
1:22:37 marriage. Watch our film Unseen War on our website. We have courses I encourage men to take. You can
1:22:43 pay a buck or a million dollars, whatever you want. But the Unseen War eight part course to
1:22:48 understand the spiritual warfare. We have one on marriage. I highly encourage thousands of
1:22:54 gone through it. And as far as marriage, look, learn to fight back to back, not nose to nose.
1:22:59 And if you're a single man, man, the Bible talks about there's great things going to have been
1:23:05 singing us. Practice purity so you don't lose power. That matters. Appreciate you guys and
1:23:12 I appreciate you, brother. Hey, well, we'll have to get you back on to talk about your bride and
1:23:17 everything else y'all got going on. And then, you know, figure out what kind of workout y'all are
1:23:20 doing. Y'all both look fantastic. But Victor, I appreciate you very much. Until next time.
