TIM KENNEDY | Scars and Stripes (Ep. 316)

In this episode, we welcome the one and only Tim Kennedy to the show. He is a Green Beret, sniper, retired MMA fighter who fought in the UFC and Strikeforce, the only 3-time All Army Combatives Champion, and the star of History Channel’s Hunting Hitler and Discovery’s Hard to Kill. Today, Tim owns a tactical training company called Sheepdog Response. He’s also the author of a brand new book out this week called Scars and Stripes: An Unapologetically American Story of Fighting the Taliban, UFC Warriors, and Myself. In this interview, we discuss why he decided to write such a raw and revealing autobiography, how his childhood affected his decisions as an adult, getting into MMA in the early days of the sport, how 9/11 and some really rough personal decisions eventually landed him in Special Forces, his first combat kills, his errant grenade throw that hurt civilians, how he tried to balance being active duty military and a professional fighter, and much more. Let’s get into it…
