Hey guys, real quick. So, I've talked to men literally all across the globe about where they're missing the mark and how they want to improve. They normally talk about how they wish they were in better shape. They wish they had a better relationship with their loved ones. They wish they had more success and influence at work and some other stuff like that. But here are some of the most common and biggest things that I hear. I wish I knew more about the Bible. I wish I could lead my family spiritually. I wish I could recall more scripture. I wish Bible study wasn't such a struggle. Well guys, I've got news for you. You don't have to keep wishing. It's time for you to start doing. It's time for you to stop wasting your time and money on stuff that has no eternal value whatsoever. I keep hearing you talk about how you want to be more biblically literate and spiritually resilient. And now is your chance to prove that you mean it. The mission of Undaunted Life is equipping men to push back darkness with content that forges spiritual, mental, and physical resilience. At the forging table, you'll see a group of regular guys forging spiritual resilience by digging into God's word. And we're welcoming all of you to come along on that journey with us. That's Adam. That's Degan. And Winkler, why are you crouching? Why are you encroaching into my area? I've got this line. >> Look at his size. Obviously, he's going to encroach. >> Have you heard of Manifest Destiny? >> Uh, [laughter] no. Uh, no. I don't even know what you just said. But what what I do know is how is it possible that you're you size, I'm me size, and we wear the same size shoe? >> How's that possible? That's what I want to know. >> I just Sounds like you got some It's not like I have small feet, Kyle. I mean, I'm a size 12 feet. I wear a 12 and I'm mess size. >> I know >> I'm I'm victim weight according to people in the jiu-jitsu world. >> That's more indicative of you having some clown feet than it is some problem on my end. >> You know, it's even worse. I wasn't planning on showing this, but look [laughter] look at my toes. I got those TOE SPACERS ON RIGHT NOW. SO, >> what in the world? I was about to say he's not wearing shoes. That was going to be my big thing for this show. >> Oh my gosh, look at those things. >> So, but but just what is happening? >> Don't worry about the spacers. Let's just worry about Look how long my toes are. Why the spacers? >> Okay, so I'm having feet problems. My my big toes are prearthritic and I'm I got to try to release the pressure, so I have to leave these these things. I think these are called happy feet or something like that. But yeah, look at those toes, man. Those are like crazy crazy long. And so like if you if I had normalized toes, I'd probably wear a nine and a half, >> right? I don't have I have normal sized toes. >> What do those things do again? >> Uh toes. Uh so they they grab things whenever [laughter] I drop them when I drop them on the floor. No. Uh this thing they they keep your toes spread. >> Hey, listen. How beautiful are the feet that spread the word? Wrong. Wrong. [laughter] >> How does both ways? He's here and he's >> You just put your feet. >> Yeah. See, all you normal people, you get tired using your fingers the whole time. I'm like, I just flip upside down while I'm resting these fingies and I just start with the other side. >> Are you trying to shod your feet? Is that what you're doing? >> Shod them. >> Can you put those Can you put those two and then shove your feet into shoes? >> Uh, no. [clears throat] Uh, that is like there's not a toe box wide enough to like [laughter] put your feet in. once you put these things on. >> But like >> I guess like part of the problem we're trying to like figure out exactly what's going on with my feet. So if you were like a foot expert out there in the world like my big toes >> are they're just in pain like at all times. And I've got injections in them and all kinds of stuff. But like some people will try to do spacers just in between the the big toe and what the index toe second toe and they'll try to do spacers. And so you can put a spacer in there and then put shoes on. But the problem is is I'm down to like two or three pairs of shoes where that like the the you could call it a bunion. It's not exactly a bunion, but like that the base of the big toe is like pressing into the outside of whatever I'm wearing. And so like cowboy boots, I got one pair that I could wear. The other ones they don't really work. And so it's just >> is it a nerve thing? Like it this seems like a nerve issue. >> I've I've probably hairline fractured both of my big toes. But it's it's all jiu-jitsu and powerlifting cuz for years I've lifted barefoot. I've squatted barefoot. deadlifted barefoot >> and so you're constantly under tension in the feet. >> Uh but then with jiu-jitsu I'm top game and so all my pressure is being driven through my feet like down as I'm trying to pass or as I'm trying to shoot or different things like that. Um, and then if I'm doing knee on belly, not to be confused with knee on belly, [laughter] knee on belly, like I'm almost all my almost all my pressure like cuz you know my shin's across, you know, their diaphragm area and all that. So all my pressure is basically on my big toe on the outside like putting pressure on there. And so it's just a lot going on. >> I just want to welcome you all to the to the second half of your 40s. This is this is every conversation that I have with my friends. It's what supplements are you taking? What maladies are you fighting? Like this. I love this. >> And here I am desperately trying to get you to start deadlifting and you went and bought you a [laughter] a hex bar uh to start deadlifting in your late 40s. What could possibly go wrong? >> Yeah. Nothing. Hey, as long as I'm taking, you know, Centrum Silver and all the right uh supplements, [laughter] everything's going to be good. I've heard a lot about a lot of insure, you know, insure right out of bed. >> Yeah. I would I would Did you get a belt also? >> Uh I I have not gotten a belt yet. >> Get a belt. >> I've just been I've just been squatting with it without weights, but >> get a belt. >> Listen, I get a belt. >> And here's the thing about the belt >> cuz and I know I Are you about to tell me you have to act like you're trying to break the belt off of your body? >> Abdominal pressure, >> which is I'm a word picture guy and like that >> like resonated. So >> because when you take that big deep breath in cuz some people are natural belly breathers. Well, I guess all of us are natural belly breathers at one point and then we just start breathing into our chest. But when you're about to do a complex lift, especially deadlift or squat, if you don't force [snorts] a ton of air into your abdomen, like your your back is at risk. And so that's how if people are like in the middle of a set or something like that and they're like, "Oh, on rep three or on rep five," it's usually because they're like, "Ah, the other two were easy. Like, I'm just going to do another one just like that." And they lose that pressure in their back. You'll get deeper >> just a little bit. >> You'll get deeper on your squats a lot more comfortably if you just put a belt on. >> I was more comfortable with this conversation when we were talking about hurt toes. And >> I al I also think this is one of those that just don't be a freaking superhuman. Like you don't have to put super heavy weight on. I made that mistake ago. >> I was told to send it. [laughter] >> I mean, who said that? >> Listen, if if you've ever seen me in a bathing suit, you know that there's nothing extreme about anything [laughter] that I do. >> Prove it. Now, who's in front of the world to prove it? All right. No, we don't have to go that far. But, [laughter] uh, but no, like that's part of the thing is, have you ever seen bone scans of people that like elderly people that lift and >> not until Browning shared it that one day? >> No. Was that the one where it showed muscle mass though of like somebody that squatted? It was like a by it was like a section cut of their leg and it was the bone and the muscle >> crossal cross-section. Yeah. >> It was insane. >> Yeah. the muscle fibers. And of course, people they look at like, okay, grip strength as like a standin for overall strength. But obviously, if you have strong grip, it's probably because you're you're lifting, you're grabbing a dumbbell or you're grabbing a barbell and lifting with it or you're pulling yourself up over things. And so when you see older people with like really good grip strength, they're typically in better health overall as well. But I mean when you look at someone's bones and musculature like it's the same thing like when people are they have like uh ozic bones where it's basically like the inside of their bones have turned into like packing peanuts and you know they're having they're so they're skinnier. They they I mean they look like a melted candle but they are skinnier but like the overall thing is they're losing connective tissue, muscle tissue, lean body mass and you know their bones like it's like eating away their bones from the inside. So that number does keep going down on the scale, but it's like you don't want to lose the stuff you're losing. Cuz a lot of people that get on that stuff, they're not also lifting and also dieting well. They're just like, I want to live my normal lifestyle and hit the easy button to be smaller. And it's just like >> big big mistake. >> The funny thing about those pictures that Browning showed is he showed like this is a healthy 40-year-old in a cross-section. And these are cadaver pictures, right? So this is a cross-section of this person's leg. This is an unhealthy person and then a 50 and then a 60 and a 70-year-old. and you see the differences, but at the end of the day, what's the truth about all of them? They were >> They're all dead. [laughter] They're all dead. Look how healthy this person is. Dead person. They're all dead. >> 30-year-old had amazing muscle mass. >> He's dead. >> One one last thing on that. I I remember someone talking about we were talking about how certain people survive cancer and other people don't. Well, there was this person that was like in his 30s, incredibly athletic, like triathlete, real low battle body fat, 20, you know, 24/7, 365, like year round. He never had a bulking season, never really let himself go. He got cancer and then died like immediately. And I think it was friends or family were like talking with the oncologist and they're like, "What happened?" And this is kind of a haggarded way of explaining that we're like there was no mass for this person to lose. >> Like there was no, you know, excess tissue anywhere for. So when the body lost important tissue, the body didn't have anything else it could like attack or or sacrifice. And so it basically just started getting his organs. >> Went to the important stuff right away. >> Yeah. And I was just like, "Wait a minute. So we need to be fat to stay alive because I heard that was going to kill me." But I mean, the overall point is not, hey, don't have low body fat. Like don't have something like that. But it's like >> watch watch somebody go through watch through some watch somebody go through cancer for a year or two years and you will kind of understand how merciful and like how beneficial that would actually be. >> It's not easy to watch. >> Yeah. So, um, also Ozmpic, I'm really [inaudible], um, that that has become a fad. >> Oh, cuz everybody's looking >> everybody's every time every time they're going like, >> so is it Ompic? I'm like, no. [laughter] >> The old fashioned way more eating less. >> That's right. It's it's, you know, what's crazy is just decide just going, you know what? I don't need I don't need ice cream every day. >> I'm [laughter] on the no ice cream, cry myself to sleep every night diet. >> That's right. be normal like me. [laughter] >> I remember we were we my wife and I we were watching that show The Biggest Loser and there was this chick on there and I think she was like 750 800 lb something like that and she's so big she couldn't get gastric bypass. The doctor was like you won't survive the surgery. You've got to start losing weight. >> She gets all the way down to like 450. So she's lost 250 to 300 lb. She she lost a lot of weight. And they go in and I'm I'm screaming at the TV. I'm like, "She's figured it out. She's figured out. She has lost cuz she had to do diet and exercise and move just to get ready for the surgery." And I'm screaming, "Just continue." And the doctor's like, "Okay, now you're ready for surgery." And I'm like, "No." She goes and gets surgery. She loses a little bit more weight, falls right back into it, gains all of that weight back. It's like, "You were there. You had it." that doctor like the do no harm thing like he did not follow that in that moment because the right answer would have been like hey guess what continue doing what you're doing just continue you know losing weight the natural way you don't need this you've proven it to yourself you don't need it >> yeah look at jelly roll dude's lost like 200 lb by start out walking around the neighborhood like he couldn't even make it around the block you know what I mean and then I mean he's I think he's 200 lb down now and then you got to deal with the excess skin and you know other like tissue issues and things like that but no that's the thing Jake like I I mean, look at that as a tremendous compliment for other people cuz it's like, hey, all you other people are just hitting the easy button and doing this whole thing and and risking your health in the process. People are having strokes. Uh people are having major strokes uh strokes. People are going blind. There's a a thing that causes people to have issues within their their eyes because they get on these GLP1s. Uh there are people that are having major intestinal issues. Um some people are getting cancer uh unreversible, irreversible thyroid issues. And the overall thing is if you get off of these things, you have not put in place the disciplines that will keep you at that weight that you are now at. >> And so again, people want to talk about, oh well, we just need to adjust the dosing. We need to do all these things that can really, really help people. It's like, >> we were built to be able to do the things that we're doing by moving our bodies and eating things that are natural uh to our ability to digest, right? So, we're not going to eat bark. We're going to eat animals. I don't want anything. You You watch these drug commercials and they always [laughter] >> are like they're they're like fast re like they're they're fast saying all of the negative side effects ultimately it's like nausea, diarrhea, and death. And I'm like, diarrhea, cancer, some cancers. >> Believe it or not, I don't love any of those things. It's like, oh, you know, diarrhea, that's not that. It's like [laughter] I hate it. Why would I take that pill? >> So, yeah. So basically what you're saying is so stroke, blindness, uh losing connective tissue, breaking more bones, screw it, I'll look good on the gram. >> Yeah. >> And I heard the other day that uh something like Victoria's Secret, this was on a new show. They were talking about Victoria's Secret is up sales. They're up like 300 400% in sales. And people were like, "Wait, what's happening?" They're like, "Cuz all these women are losing weight. They don't fit into their old bras. And now that they're less people, they uh want to have sexier bras and be more provocative in the things they wear. Or maybe that's for their partner, maybe it's for their friends that they're with or whatever. And so the issue is is the opposite of what you said you would do is after you get to the weight that you feel most comfortable at, not your I'm sunken in for spring break weight, but like a good walking around weight, >> you're going to get rid of all your suits, um, and all your, you know, tailored clothes that you've had. So you're the old life. [laughter] >> That's right. It's a second circumcision, baby. That's what we're doing. But like other people, it's like, no, that that's kind of their burn the ships moment, but they're not they're not throwing away their old bras. >> I've said the it's the uh the wardrobe change. So, I mean, there's a few things that I put on right now. It looks like I'm wearing dad's dad stuff, but uh the wardrobe change and then yeah, the actual integration of an actual somewhat occasional regular cheat day, which would be right now it's only uh special occasions. So that would be like a holiday or a birthday. And then if we go on vacation, I'm just like no. But what's crazy is now even when I go on vacation, I'm real I've gotten real choosy on like >> I'm not going to waste it on that, you know? I'm not wasting on that. Uh, still fasting most of the time. And actually, when we went up to Denver, so Stacy and I celebrated 20 years July 1st. >> Oh, yeah. >> And >> both of us were in the gym working out when we realized it was our anniversary. >> We're on the treadmill. We're running the tread. We're on the treadmill side by side. And I looked down at my phone. An alert came up on my phone. And I looked down. I was like, "Oh crap." And I looked over and I said, "Uh, hey hun, happy anniversary." and she [laughter] goes "Oh yeah. >> Very romantic household." >> To be to be fair, I got her I got her anniversary gift like I had to I custom ordered it back in January thinking it was going to take a few months to get here and it got here in like a month. >> So Stacy has lost three rings. Um >> Oh no. >> Yeah. Uh she's lost three rings. First the engagement ring I got her first. >> Are you the Lord of the Rings? Mordor. The ring of Mordor. >> I purchased the one ring to rule them all now. So [laughter] we >> chass. >> Yeah. My name's engraved on it in Elvish. Anyway, so we uh [laughter] >> but we had So she lost my the engagement ring. Then there was like just a wedding band she bought. She lost it. Then I got her another ring. She lost that. And she was like I guess. So I bought her one more. And I was like, "Please don't lose that one." And then, but she always was just like, "Yeah, I like this one, but I miss my engagement ring." Like, I haven't had it and I miss it and I don't know where it I just keep hoping. I keep praying that it'll come back. So, I found a place that would recreate it. Send him some pictures. read. I upgraded the diamond quite a bit because I was a broke joke back then, but uh it got a little bigger and a little shinier, but not not like grotesqually, but she so she'd been wearing that to the ring she's wearing to church is actually the ring I got her for our anniversary. But that is a perfect recreation of the ring that I got her for her engagement that she lost like 20 years ago. She did not have every >> So, is this new one insured? I'm just >> What would Jesus do bracelet? [laughter] if you lose that happen to be like a tattoo ring be like, "Hey, >> no, that's all right. She's worth it. She's awesome." Uh, but yeah, it was it was uh so she I got for forgetting. I mean, we were at a horse show in Denver anyway. There wasn't going to be much we could do. The kids were there, but she was like it was not a big deal that we did not have anything special for the 20th because I had done something special for the 20th three months ago. >> All right. >> Okay. We we have an on air on air challenge that I'm going to throw out. >> Bring it. So Jake, you came out last year and got your first deer at uh at my deer lease, right? >> He started it as Jake, you came out last year and I was like, [laughter] >> you came out last year. I'm nervous. >> You came out last year. You got you got your first deer. >> Yes, I did last year. >> Thanks to you and thanks to I appreciate that. >> Well, so you're But you're going to come out again because now it's time to get a buck. But >> uh we always like to say because it was kind of rushed. It was kind of a rushed deal. We didn't really get the full experience. So, we didn't get to chill around the campfire, do all that stuff. >> Correct. >> So, for 2026, the on air challenge is going to be we've got to find ourselves a time to get out there and hunt for real and spend some time around the campfire. >> That's going to be uh a bit of time between now and then. And it's plenty of time for you to be confident in your weight loss to the point to where we always need firewood or some type of material to burn. So, let's get that those those big clothes and let's get them out there and let's freaking burn them. >> Let's burn them. Now, maybe the good stuff we'll give to Goodwill or something, but dude, no. Let's be committed cuz you you can't fit in those clothes anymore, man. >> I don't fit in most of them already. >> We got to pull them out. And that's that's that's a way for now. >> But I don't want I don't want to lose them cuz I'm still between sizes right now. I'm I'm venturing into not fat guy territory. So, >> we got some time. We got like all the shirts. I I ordered all those shirts. uh from Undaunted Life. Love every one of them. Bought three of them. They don't fit. >> They're a little bit too small. Little bit large. No, I got 2XL's. They're big. >> Yeah, good [laughter] for you. I'm >> the opposite. So, you're going to be wearing like tall TE's by the time we get to hunting season. >> Yeah, apparently. Yeah. Otherwise, I'll just order. That's right. I'm going to get an XL and I'll probably just have you I'll just turn them into belly shirts. [laughter] >> We got We got to get you another one. And then so if we're going to get you another one. >> No, I do like the idea of burning my clothes. >> Okay, >> that sounds fun. >> Let's do it. Challenge challenge thrown. >> Can we just go ahead and and you don't get to vote in this, but no Monday Night Raw is going to be [laughter] part of this one. >> That's a deep cut for everybody. Wait, I I totally spaced on this. I was hanging out with my my dad. Shout out to Undaunted Father, grandpa, or whatever we're going to call my dad. >> Daunted dad. >> And so, uh, we're sitting there and I go to my favorite place in Wes. If you're or in Lton, it's called Wes. If you ever go to lot, you got to go to Wayne's. That's the original drive-thru in Len. There's two of them. They're great. Get you a small pepperoni pizza and a banana milkshake. It's the perfect order. And then so we're sitting down and I've got the boys with me. We're celebrating my dad's 67th birthday. And he's like, "Hey, how how's Horn doing?" Cuz Horn, you know, went down uh with me once to go have cigars with my dad and all that. And he goes, "And how's Vicious doing?" [laughter] >> He says, "How's Vicious?" Not Jake, not Winkler, not Vicious. Vicious. doesn't even refer to you as a large small forging tablelers, but even he knows. But Adam, so we're we're out on Monday Night Raw. >> No, Monday Night Raw is where we will not watch. >> I I understand completely. Uh yeah, I I actually have not been watching for a while actually since I watched it with you all. >> I feel like the scales [laughter] fell from your eyes and you're like, "Oh my gosh, this is >> I think I I did watch Wrestlemania and I was like, man, it's just bad. I don't know. I can't do it anymore. [laughter] >> I can't do it anymore. It's been that way for a while. We just hadn't seen it." So, we were glad. >> When did we look at each other like, "Well, big gulp. See you later." We just We just gave up. >> No, you didn't. You hung with me. >> No, we left early. >> Adam was the relief valve because this was 2 hours and the first 45 minutes were just guys talking and they were slowly walking to the ring and then talking and then, you know, there were commercials in the middle of the match and like the matches were just bad. One guy's only move was slapping people in the chest. That was the only thing he [laughter] did was a Gunter Gner or something like that. >> And so we get all the way, we have suffered through and we get to the main event. It's a tag match with like a Scottish guy, Logan Paul, and a couple of other people that aren't important enough to remember. And and no [clears throat] one's saying anything, Dan. We're just the three of us sitting at Adam's shop wondering how did we end up in this place in our life. Like he had just killed an animal a few hours ago and the level of testosterone has fallen off a cliff since. >> How bad would it have been if we have actually went live? if it went >> No, but [laughter] then h like halfway through the main event, I'm sitting there like just be over and Adam just goes, "Well, guys, I got to get to bed." And like, so I and we both I WAS LIKE, "THANK GOD." And we just got up and we we were we didn't even care. We don't even know who won that. No, I I think uh I think back cuz we looked up the ticket prices >> for Oh, yeah. It was like $400 or something per person. >> Yeah. Not for good seats. >> Cuz we're going to go hunting and then we're going to go to RAW and we're like, let's just go to the shop and watch it in. >> We talk about it here on the show. >> Yeah, we Yeah. Can you imagine actually going and sitting through that and watching it in person? >> Well, like what we evaluated when we watched it is, you know, the closer you get to the ring, the level of autism starts to [laughter] go up considerably. And so it's like it got it got real Makea-Wish once you got down like towards the ring. But it's like you can't enjoy what's happening when you're all the way up at the top. >> I mean, that's right. Those are my people. >> Those are my people. I love them. >> Yeah. Well, I'm not saying they're bad. Like, you know that. No, I know. You know that. >> I wish I [laughter] could be excited about anything as excited as those people ringside were about hearing Roman Reigns talk. >> You bet, buddy. >> Like they were they were losing their minds [laughter] at this guy walking by and just talking. Right. So, >> I'm telling you, it's enthusiastic bunch. >> Well, very good. Well, hey, and uh one thing that we're enthusiastic about >> is the word of God. That's position. Well, at least you should be. I will say I did hear something. You want to talk about haunting? We were all talking about our pastor Mark Hitchcock. talked about uh we're we're in First Thessalonians right now and he was talking about how he you know he's haunted and he he was real uh forward with our church and just said hey sometimes he's haunted with how easy it is for him to share the gospel from the pulpit but then just throughout the week in normal everyday life how sometimes he feels like he's silent when he shouldn't be and there was someone talking about gosh I really forget who it was uh so I don't want to pretend like I I remember but it was just basically like if you claim to be a Christian and you have no thirst for the word of God you have no hunger to go into the word it's like that's potentially evidence that you you don't have any fruit of gospel repentance. Uh perhaps you're a cultural Christian or as Granger Smith said, you know, you're Christian in in name only or as I've said before, maybe you're just a devote of country music theology, right? So you were you were born in Oklahoma. You know, your parents got you baptized when you were a kid. Someone in your family lineage was a pastor. You wrap everything in the American flag. When you vote, you vote Republican. And whenever you uh listen to music, it's '90s country. God loves all that stuff. So you get to go to heaven when you die. And so none of those things make you a Christian. That might make you more fun to be around. Yeah. This is that's that's verse two of chapter 10. But like Dean, just to continue on with that, uh if you'll read uh Romans 10 5-8, cuz this is really coming off of that huge, you know, narrative arc of chapter 9 and then we get right into the beginning of 10 where he's talking about, you know, hey, zeal's not enough uh even as you're trying to attain the law. But let's let's start in Romans 10:5. >> Okay. So this is the ESV and the uh heading of this section is the message of salvation to all. Starting in verse 5, for Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. But the righteousness based on faith says do not say in your heart who will ascend into heaven that is to bring Christ down or who will descend into the abyss that is to bring Christ up from the dead. But what does it say? The word is near you in your mouth and in your heart. That is the word of faith that we proclaim. >> You want to talk about certain verses that are just very sticky and they haunt you. verse 5, he's basically saying, "Hey, if you're going to base your righteousness off of keeping to the law, you better burn the ships. You better keep it perfectly." >> But the entire narrative of this letter to the church in Rome is, "Oh, hey, uh, by the way, you can't do that. >> Uh, there you can't possibly be righteous enough. There wasn't the exact perfect way to baptize you as a baby. There's not enough perfectly memorized prayers that can get you to this point of of salvation. And it doesn't matter what your knowledge level is, what your zeal level is. If you're going to do that, really, really go for it. Also, it's not possible. That's haunting. >> We we mentioned it last week, but the parable of the rich young ruler comes back at the same point. Same same exact thing. Like he Jesus didn't even challenge him when he said that he's kept all of the commandments. He done he's done all of the things. Like Jesus did not disagree, but he said, "Oh, yeah. Well, what about you go sell all of your own things and follow me?" And he left. Walked away sad. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I mean you kind of think I I don't know you think of the nerve of people it's kind of where I go on it is you think you are good enough to go to heaven you are good enough >> like >> the like are you actually as good as God >> like are you actually that good because >> that's if you want to look at it this way there's only one being if you want to say their works got them into heaven and or got the got they got to go to heaven based on a work and that's Jesus himself. >> It's like I did the job and now I've ascended into heaven which is where he was in the first place. But I mean it's the point being that's the only work that ever got anybody there. >> If there's one thing that's clear in scripture it's like how big of a knucklehead like all of these character is characters are over and over and over. It doesn't matter if it's Samson or if it's David or if it's Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Paul, Peter, all of them. Just >> don't get me going on Samson. Adam, >> right? [laughter] But just mistake after mistake after mistake over and over and over again. You know >> that it's helpful for me. I think it's intended to be helpful for us because it's like okay if >> if I'm supposed if I if I try and look at these guys like well they're holier than me they were not. Yeah. You know they're just like us. >> I mean I always like you know the the dirty rags analogy in terms of what our works are to the Lord you know the dirty rags. But if you want to use like a more common nomenclature, I think you can kind of almost look at what we do as a religious body a lot of times is pretty much no different than adding those photo filters on Instagram or something like that. >> Sure. >> It's like take away the blemishes, take away the scars, >> like all those things that >> are on me and exist and and I am not going it's like I'm I'm holding on to them and I'm not going to get rid of them. Uh, I'm going to cover that up >> and [clears throat] artificially, you know, I'm not doing this and you the zeal the zeal for God thing. I'm not doing this out of complete faith. I'm not doing this out of faith. I'm I'm going to church because I need to look like I go to church. >> I I need to look like a follower of Christ. Uh, you know, I'll I'll pray and I'll make a very public spectacle of praying. >> Yeah. >> But I don't you know, who's that for? you know, I'm just I'm covering myself up over and over and over again, you know, and and it's so it's easy to I think I remember going to my Bible study and I actually said like, you know, statistically half the guys sit I'm in a Bible study with like 25 guys, okay? And I said statistically at least 50% of the guys sitting at this table right now have a porn addiction. >> At least 50% of you do. Probably more, but at least 50. and you are coming to Bible study and you are going to church and then you are going home later that evening and then as soon as you can dropping your pants. Yep. >> It's you are just you're using this as a cover, >> you know. Uh it is you can't religion as a photo filter is is it's just it's nothing but the the zeal. It's look at look at me, you know, and I I actually wouldn't even say it's a zeal for God. It's literally just a zeal for the acts that he actually said that you should do. It's the zeal for the appearance of righteousness. And if if you do have that struggle, it's easier to get stuck in that struggle the further away from this you get. The further away from this you get because >> well I I would say it's you don't even start you stop struggling. >> Oh yeah. It's just normal. >> You just become submissive to it, you know, and it's I mean that's that's >> if you struggle, you have more victories. >> Yeah. [laughter] >> To quote a great theologian to my left, >> man. The the struggle language I think it it bears repeating as much as I can repeat it. Um, I was doing Dominion interviews and it was a rough morning. Just guy after guy after guy, just this defeist attitude and like, man, I'm really struggling in my marriage. I'm really struggling to get in shape. I'm struggling with porn. I'm struggling with all that. And then I snapped on this guy. And I said, no, you know what? You're actually not struggling at all. Cuz what does it take to have victory in any of those categories? Struggle. >> Because if you're going to get in shape, it's going to be a struggle. If you're going to fix your marriage, it's going to be a struggle. If you're going to mend the fences with your children, it's going to be a struggle. And it's like you have to struggle in order to get victory in those areas. And we just I I it's those people that that love to talk about the grind. Oh, it's just such a grind. Such a grind. It's like, well, what are you doing about it? It's like everyone finds an excuse to lose. Would you just find an excuse to win? >> And that's why I always put people to a decision with the Dominion program because it's like look, you're either going to do this or you're not. You got 24 hours to figure it out. like if if you're willing to do this because you you just told me in your application, in your interview, here's all the boxes I'm not checking and I need to do something about it. I'm offering you a pathway to guide you to where we can start checking some boxes and now I'm just going to give you an opportunity to prove to me whether or not you're full of crap. And it's just like because if you're cuz guess what? You cannot do this program and then you can talk trash about like I didn't want to pay for that anyway. I wasn't going to fix anything and blah blah blah. It's like I just watched Glengary Glenn Ross for the first time uh not that long ago and there was one particular salesman that he just had an excuse for everything and he was mad and like oh that guy doesn't understand how's he going to come into this office and talk to me about all that and it was just the belly aching whiner that always had a good argument as to why the world was against him. And it's like if you took 10% of that effort that you're using to complain and put it into solving your problem you would close more deals. You would get more done. But we love to lament. We just don't like to do anything about it. >> Yeah. I mean, it's it's kind of interesting again that that call to be like Christ, right? So, when we talk about struggle, okay, that that that idea of like I'm struggling with this is no, what you mean is you just don't love enough to sacrifice. >> That agape love, right? That the same love that Christ showed us on the cross. um the actual love, not this artificial fake crap we have now that you know love is love and all that. just like no it's it's really not like can you look at you say you love that person and would you die for him tomorrow for doing like would you I mean there's not a single person sitting at this table who wouldn't say yep I would absolutely die for my wife I would absolutely die for my children okay I would actually I would absolutely die for everyone sitting at this table but the question is is okay you are over here saying you're struggling with this problem this problem my marriage is in trouble it's like well what are you doing to sacrifice struggle requires if you're struggling, you got to put something and say, "I'm I'm I'm done with this." >> You know, a lot of times it's your pride. >> A lot of times it's your pride. Sometimes it's your lust. You know, sometimes it's um you know, sometimes it's just Well, sometimes it's your own like this I don't want to be generous. I don't want to give. >> It's that you may love God, but you love yourself a little bit more. >> A little bit more. Yeah, that's a good way of putting it. >> Right. It's like but I love me. I love the things that I do. like I love my my comfort. I'm a good person. I deserve those a little more. I deserve it. >> Yeah. You know, and what I like that Paul's doing here, cuz there are a lot of people that have legitimately been struggling and trying to achieve things outside of like knowing who Jesus is and knowing where their power comes from. And uh and and man, it life is hard and life is a beatdown. And it's kind of like, well, the thought of, you know, Paul's saying like, hey, you don't have to go to heaven to bring Christ down and you don't have to go into the to the grave to pull him out. That happened. That's done. That is for you. Like there is like becoming a Christian does not require some heroic feat of accomplishment. It's it's just believing in faith that God did that for you. when you've got your thumb on the pulse of something that's that's really important, which is, you know, people want to be in control of their salvation, as we've seen earlier in Romans 10. They want to be in control of their righteousness. But, uh, when it comes to I mean, that we're going to get into this with verse 9. We want to make sure that we're we're driving, uh, the direction that we want to drive, and we want to make sure that everybody is seeing all of the righteous things that we're doing. But if you're doing it apart from Christ, the thing that I don't understand, I heard someone say the other day is uh you know, I didn't feel like God gave me any peace with this decision, so I didn't I didn't do it. >> And I was like, man [laughter] who are the people that said yes, Lord, and immediately had peace in their life and circumstances. >> Start in Genesis and go all the way through the end of the book. It's Revelation. There's only one of them. Stop saying Revelations, people. Um, but like that that was the thing is wait, these people didn't have peace. They had turbulence, >> right? >> And one of the guarantees in your life is the more you live like Christ, the more our secular, atheistic society and culture is going to hate you and try to tear you down. And the more you're in the game, the more Satan is focusing on you, trying to get you out of the game. Nothing's better than for Satan to take down a a big prominent Christian or pastor or something like that because then you take down the people that are under them as well. And then where from where do we derive our our peace? Where does ultimate peace come from? Because Paul's a perfect example. He said, "Yes, Lord." And then he was shipwrecked and beaten and imprisoned and snake bit. It was all turbulence. No peace. But he had final peace. And so, uh, Don, actually read verses 9, 9, and 10 because this this gets into like, okay, so what can we do to get peace? Verse N. Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. So again, just pointing out to any uh traditions that look at baptism as essential for salvation, that's not listed here. Uh it's not to say that baptism isn't important. We're saying the baptism is not salvific. This is just another example of that. But yes, you confess Jesus as as Lord. That includes repentance when you're saying like I love how uh Job's decided to do it at church 11:22. Before they baptize someone, they ask him two questions. It's who is Jesus to you? And the answer is am I Lord and Savior? And do you renounce any connections with anything dark or demonic in this world? Right? So that is confessing Jesus as Lord and repenting of your of your sin, your your connection to anything dark and demonic. And the second thing is you you have to believe that the resurrection counted for you. The delineating point I would say for a lot of people, Jordan Peterson believes in the resurrection, but in terms of his public confession, he's not done the first part. He's not publicly confessed that he has placed his faith, transferred his faith and his morality and righteousness from himself onto the finished work of Christ. He believes that Jesus, a Middle Eastern Jewish construction worker, was killed on a Roman cross, placed into the tomb of Joseph of Arythea, and walked out three days later. But he has not placed his faith into that. And so, >> what do you mean by Jesus? >> Yeah. Yeah, that would be a great [laughter] question. What do you mean by believe? It's like, I CAN'T DO THIS RIGHT NOW, JORDAN. UM, but we're praying for you, Jordan. We want you to come back. We want you to [laughter] do all those different things. But, you know, the confession itself is not a work. It's just an outward description of an inward reality. Same thing with baptism. Baptism is an outward expression. And congrats, Jake's uh daughter just got baptized last Sunday. Two for two, bro. >> Does it get any [laughter] better than that? But like, but that's the thing is is it's an outward confession of an inward reality. And it's it's it's deeper than intellectual. That's why people rightfully get a little bit uh uncomfortable with some apologetics discussions and things like that because you know a lot of these traditions, a lot of these uh more conservative uh traditions, they've argued people into the faith. Well, if you were argued into the faith, a better argument will argue you out of that faith. But if you've had an encounter with the the risen Christ, if you've been changed from the inside out after you've placed your faith into the reality of of the crucifixion and that it accounted for you, okay, what what are you going to sell that for? Like, you know, we were all talking about our old cars that we drove in here and I've got my grandpa's truck sitting out there. There's what Kelly Blue Book would say that truck is worth and there's what I'm willing to sell it for. Like someone mentioned the other day like, "What if someone walked up and offered you $75,000 for it?" I'm like, "It's not for sale." like that is my grandfather's truck and there is going to be a fourth generation of of boys in my family of men in my family that are going to drive that vehicle. And so it's like from from where do you put your value in into what will it be transferred and it's got to be transferred into something real and tangible. And then we have to do it the way it's said here in verses 9 and 10. >> I I think a lot of a lot of new believers they feel, you know, they read stuff like this. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. There there is no like magical you will be saved. That's a miracle, >> right? >> Jesus died. That is that is all the that's the past that we all share. If you believe in the gospel, then you also inherit your salvation, which in first Peter it says God himself stands guard over, right? That's your future. >> And all of this time in the middle is suffering, >> right? It's all the stuff that you just said Paul like endured sanctification. And it's like, man, I there are a lot of Christians there are a lot of non-Christians that look at Christian lives and say, I don't get it. like you're you're no different than me. >> You look no different, >> right? You you you have the same problems. Uh I've heard you talk to your wife before. Like say like you're no you're no different. And it's like no, I'm not. I'm not different. Confessing with your mouth and believing in my heart doesn't make me an unbroken person. It doesn't it doesn't heal this world for me. It actually what it does is again in first Peter where Peter uh consistently throughout he calls he calls these people that he's writing to elect and then he calls them exiles meaning like you're living in this world but this is not your world anymore. If you know Jesus, you're in exile here until you go home. >> And it's like, okay, so we're all in this crazy strange place that just continues to be broken and afflicted, >> but our inheritance has changed, right? And and and and that's the big thing I want like non-Christians to hear is my life is no, I I would say my my life doesn't look any different. I still have the the the pressures of the world. I still have the temptations of success and I still struggle with all the same things. I just they have a name now and it's called sin and I have a savior who paid for that and his name is Jesus and I have a reward for believing in that and it's called salvation. So um I I just read this and I want to make sure like that that that's the reality of becoming a Christian. I I think the the one marked difference that you would say is that when you do sin because I don't think any of us are foolish enough to say that we just don't anymore. We all have the we you know >> the thoughts the the feelings sometimes even the actions but I think that the um the difference is is the recognition. You recognize it. You repent of it. >> You confess that sin. >> There is a sting to it. Yes. Right. Like it is it is it is it it is a bad taste in your mouth. >> Yeah. >> It is. And listen, >> we don't we aren't put into sin. Like it's not God's plan that we sin. Right. >> A lot of the sin that we do, we like. >> Yes, we do. >> Right. And so when you when when you become a believer, that thing that you like, man, when it just, >> you know, it's like Paul, why do I keep doing the things I don't want to do? It's like that's the difference. >> Yes, it is. >> Well, and also it's where do we find our hope? Another Jordan Peterson thing is he's like when you ask someone that's a drug drug addict why they do drugs, it's the wrong question. He's like it's obvious why they do drugs cuz drugs are awesome [laughter] because they make you feel amazing. Why would you do them all the time? >> Yeah. It's like why wouldn't The right question is why don't you do drugs constantly? Why don't you do them all the time? [laughter] But I was just doing this on a on a coaching call earlier this week, a couple of days ago, and I was telling this person because some people inexplicably get delivered from their proclivity to want to sin in a particular way. So maybe they're drawn to the chemical like alcohol, pills, you know, some other some other chemical. Some people are more, you know, uh, carnal, like sexual, like, you know, those types of things there. Maybe some people are drawn to deception. They just love deceiving people and manipulating people in a sinful way. they get radically saved and then that's gone. >> But I was telling this guy, I was like, "Porn and masturbation hasn't been part of my life for 16, 17 years and counting." Like I, you know, I've just kind of like lost track. Like it's just something that I don't do right? >> But I'm like, I'm one decision away from being right back there. I still feel the pool of those things. Uh because when people and you know you can get really into the psychosmatic side of this whole thing and the psychology of what's going on in the human brain that we don't even understand. We can't explain yawning but somehow we can explain why people's brain chemistry is making them act in a certain way. But like in in in your heart it's like what makes me want to just open up an app and watch people have sex and then please myself to that image? >> Like what what is that? Is it some sort of self soothing thing? Is it attached to something in my childhood? And you know what? All those questions are interesting. I don't even go there because I'm like, well, I pre-decided I'm not going to do that. >> And so, would it be interesting to find out where this all comes from? I know where it comes from. It comes from the sin nature that I inherited at birth. And that is just my chosen or my decided upon, you know, pre-world and primordial time. That that is going to be what Kyle David Thompson struggles with is lust. And for other people, it's just different. They have a different varsity sin. And your entire life has got to be struggling against your sin nature to try to kill it. And some people just get the added bonus of God helping them more fervently and more directly than maybe others. >> I like how you called it a varsity sin because I think as I've kind of seen it's like, you know, I had a the same varsity sin I think I would say you did, but >> the >> I think as I've continued to kind of walk along here now I'm starting to deal with the JV and freshman team sense. Yeah. you know, it's more of like, you know, um I guess one example would be um can't go into too much detail, but you know, we had a partner we had to exit last year that was, you know, not not the best thing. Um it's pretty hard. Uh and I could very easily just say, "No, I'm holding a grudge. I'm, you know, I'm I'm mad. I'm I'm this. I'm that. I could I could go about, but I actually have just kind of like especially over the last few months, I've just been like, you know, how stupid is this? You know, it's just um I I tell people I I somebody said it, it was someone much smarter than me, and I don't know who, but that old adage of uh uh holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. >> And I was just like, nope. Uh I'm going to wish her well. I'm going to hope she finds peace and happiness. I'm going to forgive and uh you know move forward. But I think that whole thing, I mean, the the the anger that you like I would say my my junior varsity is anger. And I'm sure that's probably pretty shocking for most of you because I'm a pretty jovial and happy guy, but that's my junior varsity sin is like I have a boiling cauldron of underneath that I just like, yeah, I get really mad and it's irrational and stupid, but it's not the way I'm supposed to be. And I find myself confessing and asking for forgiveness for things that I'm just like now you're just like I think it it's like yeah sorry God I shouldn't have done that. >> Well and I think that goes in with what we're talking about here where it talks about confess with your mouth. That's that's not a one time no >> get up and say I believe in Jesus. Like it's it is a it is a lifelong commitment >> to revealing the things about yourself that you need help with that you you know your group of guys that you've got with like confession is is really more of something that that should be a practice part of your of your Christian life. Absolutely. And when you get further into Romans 10, we're probably going to get into that next week, but when you get further into Romans 10 about how the gospel goes out, for a lot of people that have trouble with evangelism, because some people, as we were talking about during dinner, you just have like the natural gift of evangelism. It's a natural thing. They don't have that part of their brain that tells them, "Don't ask the weird question." They're like, "Send it." And they just ask the weird question. That's where their brain goes. Um, but then for everyone else, it's like the best evangelism cuz I get asked, "Hey, what's the best Bible version? Uh, what's the best evangelism technique? I'm like, the best Bible version is the one you'll read and the best evangelism technique is the one you'll use. >> Yeah. >> So, if you want to go Ray Comfort and ask people the same seven questions in order and have them go through the Ten Commandments and say, "Well, you're a lying, cheating, murdering, blah blah blah, this and that, you know, so and so, and then you you you give your your gospel pitch." Other people just open their mouths and say, "This is what Jesus did for me." >> Yeah. >> And I can't fully explain it. I don't know why his death on the cross counted for me, but I believe that it does. And it's sufficient to cover the sins of all humanity, not just those who would believe, but it's sufficient to cover all the sins of humanity. >> Um, and I mean really that uh we'll wrap up today talking about 11 through13. Uh Adam actually hit 11 through13 and then I'll I'll finish my point. >> This is ESV Romans 10:11. For the scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Gek [laughter] between between me and me. >> There's no distinction between Jew and Greek. For the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. >> So a couple of old Old Testament references. Verse 11, that's Isaiah 28:16. verse 13, that's Joel 2:32. >> Um, but the shame part I think is really interesting there. Uh, because shame is basically the humiliation that you're being sent to hell. >> Uh, somewhere that everybody wants to avoid going. Um, but also the amazing thing about verse 11, for the scriptures say, everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. Just like I said in the leash on the dragon episode, this was God's plan A from the beginning. >> To to save people by grace through faith was God's plan A. That was that was always the plan. Now, were you when you were pre-law, as we've talked about during this batch of episodes, when you're living, you know, in the throws or right in the in the thick of the Mosaic law and trying to keep the laws and all the different things, you were seeing through the glass dimly. You couldn't see the entire picture of like, how does this gain me righteousness? Because even God was evaluating as people were doing the laws, whether fervently or grudgingly, what was the heart of the believer behind that? Were they trying to gain their own righteousness or were they doing it to serve a holy and just father God? And God can see the heart and know the motivations. And I just think that that's very important as we get into this discussion about, you know, how is one justified? You know, sotiology, how is one saved? Well, if you don't confess with your mouth >> and believe with your heart, which goes beyond the intellect, but if you don't confess and believe, then you don't have salvation. You don't have justification. So, we don't even need to talk about your present tense salvation, which is your sanctification, or your future tense salvation, which is your glorification. You don't even have past tense justification yet because you have either not confessed with your mouth and or have do not believe in your heart. But the the thing here is when people are like, well, is this God's kind of plan B? you know, he didn't really know how people would respond to the law and oh man, Satan, he's just super crafty and I had to I had to figure something out with this Jesus fella so I wouldn't be made out to be a fool and that Genesis 3:15 is actually real. I got to I got to put someone out there that's going to crush the head of the serpent. No, this was the plan from the beginning. And I think it's good to constantly remind ourselves of that. I just thankfully it seems like the justification part where we get back to Romans 10:9 because if you confess with your m confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. Thankfully that part and you guys were talking about this longer before I said anything but >> thankfully there's no qualifiers there. There are no qualifications at all. It's very simple. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except by me. I I put that in the same uh in the same context as this verse that that part thankfully is simple and thankfully for me because the same things that you guys were talking about all of those same struggles that I've had like we talked a little bit earlier when we were having dinner about catastrophizing like man if if I let that run and go too long and too far like I it just makes me feel worthless constantly feel worthless and it's like if if that holds you back well then you're not even going to get to step one. So that's why >> like in reality in the truth of it is like step one it doesn't require anything. There's no requ. You don't have to be dunked. You don't have to do all these things. >> It's just this. It's that simple. And you cross into that threshold. Then you get to explore the rest of it. Yeah. When righteousness >> I mean this will this will break your brain for a week just thinking about this one concept or at least it did for me but I'm a little bit denser than most. Righteousness is imputed to us. >> Yes. >> Imputation is a one-way street. Like there's there's no dual imputation. It is imputed to us as righteousness. >> Because when we stand before God, we're not going to be able to speak. It's going to be Jesus that's going to speak on our behalf. And either he's going to know us or he's not going to know us. >> Yeah. Our name is either in the Lamb's Book of Life or it's not. And if we do get to speak and if the sentence Thank you, Alistister Beg, you've got your issues, but this would you won. You nailed. If your sentence starts out with because I, you've already lost. Yeah. It's because he because he wh why do you deserve to be here? Because the man on the middle cross said I could come. >> Yes. >> Right. And so again, theology, deep study, that's all fun stuff. Preerttrib, you know, amillennial, you know, premillennial supermillennial whatever group you want to be in, all that stuff's kind of fun to talk about. But then people that want to have a very deep uh deep cut team that they're on so they could be like a super Theo bro. These are people that still don't even share their faith with people. >> And it's like maybe have some humility and realize that you were given you were imputed with the righteousness of Christ. >> And your only job kind of is to just tell other people about it, >> right? [laughter] Just just open your mouth and talk to them and say this. This is why I believe what I believe. This is why I can have hope. This is why even though I kind of seem like you and I have the same struggles as you and all that, because I'm in Christ, I'm a new creation and now I'm an alien to this world. Yeah. >> And anyway, great. >> And I feel I feel like similarly, you alluded to what Pastor Mark said today, like >> I am more comfortable in being public and vulnerable in this setting or I teach I teach uh I teach our Sunday school sometimes. You teach our Sunday school. You teach our Sunday school. Uh have you've taught I don't know if you >> I teach in the high school. who you [laughter] are on my audience. I taught >> I taught I taught this I taught this morning uh fourth grade. I love I love teaching the kids upstairs. And I I say all of that not to like make us feel better in any way. I say that to say like why is this easier for me but sitting oneon-one across from someone like in a train or at dinner or um in a public setting when I'm walking out of the grocery store and I feel a calling to say something to somebody and I don't freaking do it. You know, that's what that's what Pastor Mark was talking about. It's like that's the thing that haunts him. And I feel I feel that inside my soul also is like, "Okay, you can do this. You can do these podcasts and you can go, you know, teach your class, you can do everything, but you you didn't answer the call. >> You want to be haunted worse than that. Have that be your full-time job where you say things out of your face hole into a microphone and then you feel that direct tug which could not come from the father of lies to go talk to someone and tell them about Jesus. you don't do it cuz you're busy or you come up with some sort of a thing and then you read a verse because you're studying to do the daily blade and it's about how many of you have entertained angels unawares. >> Oh man. >> And I think about oh I literally just gave myself freaking chills because it's like that could have been just like you know Joe Snuffy John Doe or or whatever. >> That could have been an angel. It could have been a test right and and a test that I failed willingly because I didn't even take it. I didn't even sit down with my pencil and my scantron. I just said, "I'm too busy. I'm too important. I got things to do." And so, it's just kind of a good reminder because here's what we can lead people to. I want us to to leave on this because I want us to save a little bit of juice uh for for next week. Look at verse 13 again. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. I think Job has said this before. That is the only prayer that is 100% of the time answered in [clears throat] the affirmative. M m >> if you pray and call on the name of the Lord, you will be saved. >> And if we can't just tell someone that, like, hey, how did someone get saved? Uh, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved. Well, what do what do I need to do? It's like, well, call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. >> Mark chapter 10, Barnameus calls out to Jesus. He's blind. Uh uh it says Jesus stepped back and call said call him and they called the blind man saying to him take heart get up he is calling you and throwing off his cloak he sprang up came to Jesus and Jesus said to him what do you want me to do for you and the blind man said to him rabbi let me recover my sight and Jesus said to him go your way faith has made you well he called out to Jesus right and it was his faith which is this whole this is all what we're talking about this is this is revolutionary to these Jews that are hearing this that it's not just for you, it's for the Gentiles and it's not about the law, it's about faith. Um, but man, call upon the name of the Lord and uh and you know and and you will be saved. >> Well, we are really going to hammer on this next week uh whenever we start getting into verse 14. Uh next week we're likely going to go verse 14 through the end of Romans 10. And again, we're just going to keep the thread going from where we started as a group, which was at the end of Romans 9, and just talk about the the call for obeying belief and repentance, but also evangelism.
