I've made the joke or whatever. It's like, I feel like some people think iron sharpening iron is

like two streams of lotion hitting one another like at a crossroads or something like that.

Like it's just this easy process because again, I'll keep saying it and I will say it until I can't

say it anymore, but most men's ministry is just women's ministry repackaged for men. That's what

men's ministry is. And so it can be a bit soft. The decorations are rustic looking, wood and dirt

actually manly, not in the biblical sense. And a lot of times, not really even in a cultural sense.

And so that's the one thing that I've tried to get through to everybody with, you know, Proverbs

we take that dull knife and we may have a bunch of sharp knives that are sitting around that are

ready, you know, to witness to or pour into somebody, but we take that dull knife, we open the drawer

coffee shop for three or four hours, but women, you need to be on the front end of that. If you

cooking for him or having sex with him or doing whatever, if you surmise that he needs time with

attending church digitally. And what you don't understand in what you're missing out, you don't

look at it from the perspective of eternity and from the Christian worldview, it's, it's one of

the saddest stories I've ever read in a book he, Manchester United, like all sports teams

across the globe have super fans, fans who go to every game, fans who have grown up being a fan,

fans whose kids and grandkids go to games with them. And when they, I think it was when they won

the treble and the treble for those of you who aren't soccer fans, it's when you win your league,

which would be like the NBA or the, the, the Super Bowl. It's when you win the FA Cup, which is like

just a tournament, a tournament that's side by side to the league that you're playing in and

There's a little, a microcosm of that in our families and we are, we are commanded and we will

stand in judgment of the flock that we led. And even if you're not a pastor, that should give you

to the verse that you just looked at, I mean, the, so we cannot satisfy our lust as men, okay,

that every time we throw something on, every time we throw something in, it's just an unquenchable

fire, the inferno will still burn. But there's also this satisfaction, like, you know, but it's

not like women are any different than us. We have a problem with lust, they have a completely

different problem. They're not satisfiable either. It's always leaving that wanting more. And I think

the idea, you know, if you are one of the women listeners right now, I would say, you know,

reflect on that. But also, I would say, if you're a man dealing with a quarrels and wife,

reflect on your own behavior. And there are a lot of ministries out there, a lot of pastors

that do their women to disservice because a lot of women leave the church smelling like roses and

feeling like roses. And there are women, this sounds dumb, but it's actually the truth. There

are women that leave certain churches thinking, I don't think I'm a sinner. Yep. And so they're

missing out on the opportunity to embrace the gospel because they don't see any depravity when

they look in the mirror. Man, that's a bad place to be. And like, I talked about it in the context

of abortion. A lot of pastors are too scared to address the abortion topic from the pulpit because

they know statistically speaking, there are, depending on the size of the church, a sizable
49:39
percentage of women that have had abortions. And there's a way to bring it up. And this is what

I do whenever I do my, my abortion talk at churches, to where no one feels condemned, but we know the

score to where it's like, Hey, there's now there for no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

So if you had an abortion, if you're a man that coerce your woman into getting one, if you paid

for one, if you were the parents of a girl that got pregnant and you paid for that problem to go

away so that nobody would see your family is not perfect, Christ died for that too. Yeah. And so,

but if you don't think that you're condemned, if you think that that you're amazing, if you believe

the Mother's Day sermon applies to you every day out of the year, it's like, sister, like,

let me just push back. You are just as depraved as everybody else. It just has a different scent to

it. Yeah, we miss a, we miss a golden opportunity to preach the gospel to women. And there, I mean,

there are women out there who are coerced and there are women who are victims of abortion. But

when you kill a baby, like that is murder, and you miss an opportunity to preach the gospel to

someone who needs it. And man, that's really sad that the church misses those opportunities

on a continual basis. Yeah. So the pastor's listening to this of which I know there are quite a few,

like, take that into account. That doesn't mean, all right, verbally, you know, salt,

all of the women in your church on Sunday from the pulpit, but try not to delineate too much,

and it's not subtle. It's interesting to me. You really never hear a pastor from the pulpit.

There's no hesitation in speaking ill words about men. No hesitations in terms of,

you know, probably a lot of it is because they are men. It's viewed as more self-deprecating.

But at the same time, it's like, well, you're convicting men of certain attitudes, behaviors,

and actions. But is there a return of conviction for the wife? I think sometimes going back to the

quarrelsome wife and being shepherded. I mean, as a pastor, you may be creating this condition

by not convicting the wives or daughters or whoever is in that room. Look how sinless and

blameless I am and look at what my husband's doing. The sermon today was literally what he does

every day. And it's like, but you do too. Right. Absolutely. Well, hey, we got about 10 minutes left.

rebuke than hidden love. Faithful words are the wound of a friend. Perfuse are the kisses of the

And that's because I know there are a lot of men that are afraid to put relational chips in the

middle of the table when it comes to other men in their lives, because they're afraid. And I tell

people, what is the worst case scenario if you go to your friend that has an alcohol problem,

send him down and say, Hey, man, you drink too much. He punches you in the face. That is worst

case scenario. So if you can deal with that, if you can survive that, push the chips into the

center of the table, because you might be saving his life. You might be saving his marriage. You

might be saving his kids from the continuation of a generational sin. If that's if you believe in

curses and all that going from generation, generation, sure, like you believe in all that.

But when you're just the buddy, when you're just there to hang out, when you notice things in your

friend's life that are that hurt the heart of God, or that are completely sinful, and then you

don't bring that to them, like that man, like I don't think you can say you love that man.

If you're not able to give that, but I mean, give them the open rebuke, but also give them love.

You know, it says here that's better than hidden love, but show your man, like the dudes in your

But if you don't have that example in a culture in front of you, it is really hard to be the first

much we love each other. It's just one of those things that happens. And once it happens and you

realize that it has happened, you probably from the scripture, you need to step out in boldness

Like one of the most impressive men I've ever been around as a, is a former mentor of mine,

and still a current friend is Dr. Dwight Adams, forensic science institute at UCO,

retired FBI. He ran the crime lab there. He was the first scientist to testify in a court case

using DNA evidence. He's the guy, his team did that, right? You know, literally one of the most

accomplished scientists he's created. The University of Central Oklahoma has made that the preeminent

place for students to study forensic science, right? And if you met him, you would never know that.

Well, I think it goes back to where does the glory go? Like who gets the glory? And if our heart is

postured towards God gets the glory, like we can, we can take that. And if our, if we can, if our honest

answer is glory be to God and you know, rust does something great. I mean, yeah, that's great that

you did something great. But if your heart posture is, yes, I did that, but glory be to God that I'm

able to do that. I think we can steer ourselves clear of a lot of, a lot of trouble and not being

humble. You'll be humbled at some point. You can choose to be humble or you can let something

humble you in a way. It's probably not very fun. I think it goes back to a couple of weeks ago,

we were talking about proverbs. Well, we refer back to proverbs 813, fear of the Lord is the

hatred of evil, pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

Like there's so much about pride that that's, it creeps into everything. You know, it even creeps

into your supposedly righteous behavior. You know, all of a sudden becomes pride. It's like the more,

the more you find out about yourself and the more God brings you through this journey and the more

the Holy Spirit reveals to you, it starts revealing things that in every little thing,

you got to watch out for one thing, pride, pride. It just keeps on coming up. A lot of these other

things, they kind of are more blunt. That's the subtle one that all of a sudden you'll look over
