Let's be honest, most men drift. We wake up, we scroll, we work, and then we just rinse and repeat. And we know we're softer than we should be. That's why I built the 31-day resilience reset. This is not a devotional. It is a field manual for men ready to stop drifting and start fighting back. So, for 31 days, you'll train your spirit, mind, and body with scripture, prayer, and daily challenges that forge real resilience. Go to www.undaunted.life/31. life/31day to download this resource for free. That's undaunted.life/31day. Start your reset today. This is Undaunted Life a man's podcast. I'm your host, Kyle Thompson. Let's get into it. All right, guys. We got a special guest on the podcast today. His name is Scott Lindseay. He is the executive director of ministry relations for the Logos or Logos. Don't worry, we get into that Bible software. Guys, you've heard me talk about the Logos Bible Software for years at this point. Especially if you listen to the forging table, you know that we have an Undaunted Life study bundle. But when I got introduced to Scott, this was months ago. He he'd been on with several of my friends, so with Rouselon and with Alisa Childers and some other folks where I've been on their shows and they've been on my shows, and when he gets into his presentation, your mind's going to be blown. So, this is a very different podcast than what we've done on other podcasts because I don't think we've ever done a screen share on a podcast before, but he literally literally brought up some slides so that he could show you some of the things that Logos has been working on, the direction that they're going, but then he brings up the software and then he shows you and this is how your Logos would work. It's going to work like mine does. And he takes you through, okay, here's something you can do. Here's something you can do. Here's another thing that you can do. Because here's the thing, I talk to you guys all the time and I keep hearing the same things from you guys. You want to be biblically literate. You want to be able to disciple your children. You want to be able to approach things in the public square in a biblical manner. You want to be able to read the Bible with some intention, not just whatever some app told you to read today because you're trying to knock out the Bible in a year. And what Logos helps you do is literally all of that. And so in this podcast today, we talk about, okay, how can you use it if you're just reading? Let's say you want to do a study and you don't know because I get asked all the time like hey Kyle can you suggest some devotionals for me and I'm just like I don't really know any because I don't like go buy devotionals for the most part. Um and so it's not really something that I do. I I kind of go to the text on my own. You can create your own devotionals in the app based on the stuff you're interested in, based on the books of the Bible you're wanting to go into, based on how often you want to read, how many minutes at a time. You can customize all of that. But then also we spend a ton of time talking about the AI function because the AI function obviously for all of you guys your life is being taken over by AI. It was taken over before you even knew it was a thing but you spend time in Chad GBT and Grock and Gemini and Claude from Ananthropic and you you use it for all these other different things. But we talk about the crazy amount of hallucinations that come from those apps that the percentages are going to astonish you. And the unfortunate thing is you got people that are pastors, people that create Christian content. They're going to these things, right? It's kind of a garbage in, garbage out thing, even if it doesn't hallucinate. Do you really want an app that was coded by almost 100% leftist progressive atheists in Silicon Valley to give you your Bible study to help disciple you? Because I mean, we're reaching a almost a crisis point within churches where there are people that trust the AI way more than they trust their pastor, right? And so, what we're going through today, this isn't about equipping you guys. And this is a this is a big one to watch on YouTube. I know a lot of you guys listen on Apple and Spotify, but if you can get the video for this, this is one that you need to watch and you need to watch. Go ahead and open up uh The Undaunted Life. Uh get the study bundle, guys. You've heard me talk about a million times. Go to the show notes. He even I didn't know he was going to do this, but like in the middle of the the interview, the session today, he added a bonus thing for people that do the Undaunted Life Study Bundle and sign up in the next two weeks. So, if you're listening to this on time, if you sign up before October the 8th of 2026, and guys, I'm just telling you, every time I'm in the Logos Bible software, I'm learning more. I'm understanding more. I'm making more connections within the Bible. And you keep telling me that's what you want to do. So, I'm giving you the opportunity to do it. And Scott has worked at Logos for 29 years. So, he's known where they've come from as just like a software company now into where they're doing the subscription model. and he talked to me about some of the features off air because he he literally could not mention them uh on the program. I tried to get him toward the end to mention some stuff, but some of the stuff that's coming is going to be absolutely revolutionary and you guys need to be on the train now. Don't wait until later. Duh. You know, I'll get to that someday or maybe in January, new year, new me. Uh-uh. This is what you need to do. You say you want to be spiritually, mentally, and physically resilient. You say you want to be equipped to push back darkness. Logos is one of the ways that you do it. So guys, without further ado, let's get into it. Scott Lindsay, welcome to Undaunted Life of Man's podcast. >> It's good to be here. >> I got to tell you, uh, one thing that I used to be very intimidated by was people that knew way more than me about a subject that I thought was cool. But I've kind of like worked that out of my system. But before we get into the cool thing that you do for work and all the stuff that you know and all the stuff that you're better at me than, there's one thing that since I've known you where I'm just it's just like a it's a thorn in my flesh as it pertains to you. How in the world do you live so close to the border of Canada and not just vomit constantly every day at the thought of just being that close to that terrible awful country? Shout out to our Canadian fans. Y'all are our second big biggest audience, but my god, it's awful. Uh I live on the Canadian border. I'm probably in Canada a couple times a week. Uh you know, the dollar conversion is a plus. Uh I'm able to hop the border, grab dinner for the family. Um but yeah, I'm I that's my airport actually is Vancouver. So, I'm in and out. But I told you uh I'm a I'm a bit obnoxious after the Olympic gold victory. I bought all these shirts that just [clears throat] have that and that that's my travel outfit now when I when I fly out of Vancouver. And the the nasty stairs and looks I get uh are are pretty epic. >> Well, that's the thing is they deserve it because they've put their whole identity into like a fourth tier sport. And here in America, all of our best athletes are doing other things. cuz I'm not I'm that's no that's no shade to the the hockey players out there. It's just not our focus as a country. And even though it's not our focus, we still smoked you guys. So sorry about you. Cry and do your maple syrup, losers. Uh sorry. All right, that was my one thing. Sorry. We do love our Canadian fans. Shout out to you guys. It's your government that sucks. Your country could be awesome. Your government's just awful. But I've been wanting to talk to you for a long time. It took us a while to kind of get this all set up because I want to talk to you about what you do for a living. But one thing that I need your help from like from the very beginning is how to even pronounce the place where you work because when I went through and I'll say it the way I say it my logos training years ago it was because my trainer said logos and I'm like well I've heard people say logos and I've heard logos. I've heard all the different pronunciations. But ever since I recorded my ad and I've been talking about it on my show I've always said logos. Right. So people have kind of picked it up. But then smart guys like you say it a different way. And so I am down to re-record everything I've ever said mentioning the name of your company if you can just tell me the correct pronunciation cuz I think I'm using a secondary one. >> No, no, no. Kudos to you. You're saying it correctly as far as Yeah. If you want to walk into a room and have the air of a scholar and, you know, put your nose up a bit of course the rest of then logos is how they're going to teach you how to say it at seminary. There you go. You're good. >> Let's go. Okay. Um, now I did go to seminary, so why is Scott saying logos? Um, for one, I'm always concerned if I say that on an airplane cuz people ask me all the time, "Hey, what do you do?" And I say, "Hey, I work for this amazing company helps people study the Bible." And then, "Oh, that sounds interesting. What is that?" If I say Logos, I have no idea what they're going to Google. >> So, logos is kind of how I say it. Um, but I've heard from some SC, this is a a debate. Uh, at the time of Christ, I've heard it would have been pronounced logos. Uh, if you had said logos, they'd think you're from Oklahoma, you know, with that little southern thing going. So, it still works for you. It still works for you. Now, here's the one thing I have heard people say loss, and that's wrong. Like that they took the two, made one, split the difference. So, I'll smack somebody if they say >> that's what Canadians and Texans would say. You know, they've got [laughter] their kind of own way of doing things. So basically what you're saying is because of my obviously superior intellect and all things, I've been pronouncing it the correct way. And Logos is like Logos is like Logos for dummies. Can we just like can we agree with that? Okay, [laughter] we'll go with that. Well, hey guys, regardless of how you pronounce it, um I have been, you know, trumpeting and like being a hype man for the software for a long time because I man Scott, I've had all these conversations with dudes and they mean it when they say, "I really want to get in the Bible." But they have no Bible training. They've never been discipled. They didn't go to seminary. They don't have a job where they have to like create content using biblical themes and stories and references and things like that. and then they just get stuck. So, so they get their Bible, they don't even know uh the difference between a translation and an interpretation, right? So, you know, their wife's reading the message, which they should just use for kindling, but then like, you know, they get something like the ESV and they're like, "Oh gosh, this seems a little bit, you know, the the syntax is like real kind of like hard for some people, especially when you get into the Old Testament." >> And so, that's why I just love that this company even exists. I I love the changes y'all have made because people like me, I'm like, if oh software, nope, don't want to do it. Don't want to put it on my on my computer. It's going to destroy everything, especially if I touch it. But let's even go back before we get into all the great features of of Logos. How did you even get, you know, in the process of being in this, you know, business like doing this for a living? Because my understanding is you've been there, what is it, 29 years at Logos. So, so let's let's do the whole life story leading up to to joining up and then you know even the changes you've seen over the last three decades of doing what you've been doing. >> Yes. So, I joined in 97 uh 8 years active duty. So, uh uh got out of service and uh took this position at this little startup literally on on an island, Whidby Island, Washington up here in the Pacific Northwest. Uh and I had two kids. I needed a job. So, uh I lo and behold I you know had a bit of Bible college. I had some sales background and and showed up on their doorstep begging, please, I've got to feed my family. And I found favor with the the sales manager at the time and said, I've never done this, but come back tomorrow. We'll figure something out. And it's just been an amazing ride. Um, so little history of the company. It was founded uh by someone uh um that was at Microsoft in its infancy uh and actually was one of the youngest program managers at Microsoft when he got the job at 17 years old. Um and you know didn't have much of a social life. You know, he's your typical computer geek guy. And so as long as you got your 9 toive job, they would allow you to use the labs at Microsoft to create whatever you uh what your passion is, your hobby. And Bob's passion was the Bible, studying the Bible. So he coded the first Windows uh software program to study the Bible. Uh took about a year and a half, met with the leadership at Microsoft. And Kyle, you can imagine when he showed them, hey, look at this great tool. Study the Bible. They went get out of here [laughter] with that. Like >> so they signed the rights over to him. And he said, you know what? I think this would greatly bless the church. So >> left the stock options. You know, you've heard all the stories of those that were there at the beginning. Uh family cleared out savings, everything. They were from Jersey, moved out to Washington State, >> and lo and behold, Logos Research Systems was birthed. You know, that's a super geeky uh coder uh name for a company. Um yeah, and we've had just um God is blessed. I mean, we're now a couple million users worldwide. Um we uh uh again have been doing this now for about 35 years. Uh the other number that's shocking is the size of our theological library. I mean hundreds of thousands of books. So whatever interests anybody watching, whether it be apologetics or archaeology or I want to dream in Hebrew, you know, one day we got you right. Um so that's a brief snapshot uh of where we are. But what's amazing is what really came out about a year ago, and that's uh uh our use of AI, >> right? And we're we're going to get into AI in just a second, but even to back up just a little bit, I don't know why this is just absolutely stuck in my brain, but I brought it up on the show maybe a hundred times, but in 2025, Lifeway and Legion Ministries got together to do the state of theology survey, right? And so in order to be a part of the survey, Scott, you had to answer like four or five questions in the affirmative to show that you were indeed an evangelical, right? So the Bible had to be your highest authority for morality, like Jesus was the only way to the father, like you know, questions like that. So everyone surveyed is a self-described evangelical. [clears throat] But then you look at the results. >> About 50% of respondents say, "Yeah, you know, people sin here and there, but we're all generally good and we're also born that way." Okay? Only about 50% of respondents believe that marriage is between one man and one woman and about 50% of respondents believe that well of course God accepts the worship of Christians but he also accept accepts the worship of uh Judaism and Islam and I was just like okay so so the data are what they are then you have to like surmise okay well what does this mean and I thought about it and chewed on it and thought about it and asked other people about it and just the clear answer Scott is that we own Bibles we just don't read them right and so [clears throat] if especially in the south, right? So, it's called, you know, it's country music theology. You go to church every so often, you know, blow the dust off, throw on some Toby Keith on your way to church, and then, you know, God loves all that stuff, and so you get to go to heaven when you die. And so I I just don't understand when you hear stories about what Christians are going through in the Middle East, uh what they're going through in North Korea, you know, the history in China or Japan of any of these different places where people are walking for miles to get to someone's house where they have an under their floorboards of their house, they have a copy of the Gospel of John. >> And and here we are. We we have five, six, seven Bibles to our name on the shelf and we just never open them. So, I'm just wondering [clears throat] as as excuse me as Logos as a company, what do y'all think about that? Because when something comes out like that, it's just like how soul crushing can that be that we we just have all this information literally at our fingertips and we just apparently don't care. >> Yeah. So, Spurgeon said that there's dust enough on some of your Bibles to write damnation with your finger. >> Woo. Let's go, Spurge. That that's a good quote. And you're right. We live in this amazing uh land where we just have access to >> everything. Uh and yet it's collecting dust, uh you know, right there at the bedside. So, um I've actually got some interesting statistics that kind of align exactly what you're saying. If if you wouldn't mind, I'll share my screen real quick. >> Yeah. Yeah, go and bring your screen and then we'll go back to the the right slide here. Uh we'll talk about your amazing library here in a moment, but um we did the little who is logos, but it's a bi it was a Bible engagement study [clears throat] and and what's what's crazy is 600,000 people participated. So this this is a massive study and the goal of the study was to see the effects of the Bible on our lives. So and based on frequency, like what happens when we're in the Bible only one time a week or versus five times a week and so on. And so when the when they analyzed the data, the the shocking thing that was discovered was if we're in the scripture one time a week, it had negligible effect on some very key areas of our life. Two times a week, again, negligible effect. Even three times a week, barely moved the needle. >> Yeah. >> But the profound discovery was when we're in the Bible four times a week or more, it spikes off the charts. I mean, this was shocking uh to the smart people that looked at the data because you would have >> Scott real quick, just so we know what we're talking about when we say in the Bible because some people think, well, I I read my verse of the day every morning, you know, while I'm sitting on the toilet. When you say in the Bible, what specifically do you mean as it pertained to the data that were collected? >> Yeah, I think it was like 10 minutes, you know, and it and it could be audio. It could be that drive to work where you're not listening uh to the country music, you know, you're like, "Hey, I'm going to I'm going to use this time. it takes me 20 minutes to drive to work. I'm going to, you know, meditate on the scripture and and hear the word of God. Um, obviously the ultimate goal, and that's what we're going to get into, is is opening the real Bible and digging into the text and so on. Um, but yeah, it definitely not just your uh verse of the day, um, but engaging with scripture. And again I think it was at about 10 minutes but again you would have assumed one time a week there there'd be a gradual incline based on frequency but it was one two three flat but at four times a week this is what happens. Number one feeling lonely drops 30%. Uh anger issues drop 32%. Uh bitterness in relationships in particular marriage uh drops 40%. Um, alcoholism dropped 57%. Now, sexual sin, particularly addiction to pornography, dropped 60%. I mean, that is a massive drop. Um, feeling spiritually stagnant. This was the number one decline. This is anyone that says, "I feel distant from God." Right? I've heard a lot of people say that. You know what my first question to that person, Kyle, is what does your week look like? >> Right. >> In God's word, right? And I've I've never had anybody say, "Hey, I just feel so distant from God, but I show up at my men's Bible study. I do have my morning time with the Lord. I open his word." No, never heard that. Right now, positively, sharing your faith jumps 200%. And the biggest increase was discipling others, your family, your co-workers, those that you do life with. That jumps 230%. So bottom line, and I think we all know this, we need to be in the word more. And that's been the passion of Logos for 35 years. Because listen, everything we're going to share today is on your mobile device. And what's in our hands 247 is your mobile. You know, I always tell people, hey, if you could just tithe 10% of your Instagram, Facebook real time, you know, don't tell me you don't have time. You you got the time. Uh especially because I know this is in your hand all the time. The tools we're going to show are literally in the palm of your hand. Uh, so there's really no excuse to not do amazing uh, Bible study in 10 minutes. >> Hey guys, real quick. You may have noticed a lot of companies out there that are advertising and marketing that they're American companies, but guess what guys? All of their manufacturing and all of their jobs are overseas, right? These companies are manufacturing overseas in order to increase their profit margins, but they're allowing globalism to put America and Americans behind. And I've been wanting to partner with an American company with really all across the board American companies that prioritize American workers, their families, and keep their word. And guys, I have been working with this company for so long. We're going on, I think, four or five years now. That's why I want to remind you that we are partnered with Origin. Origin is an apparel company based in Maine. And what do they make? They make, guys, literally the best jiu-jitsu geese on the planet. And they are the only jiu-jitsu geese that are made completely in America with all American products and completely with American hands. And I use the Rift 2.0 and the Nano Pearl geese exclusively. Now they also make jeans that is their best seller. They have very very awesome stretchy jeans and they also have work jeans and bootcut jeans. They make amazing hunting and outdoor gear. They offer handmade leather boots to include steeltoe boots. My personal favorites are the Whiskey Maine mocktoe boots in a natural wedge sole. I wear those around all the time. And they also make great workout clothes. They have everyday pants and shirts. They're getting more into kind of men's casual stuff. They have indestructible hoodies. They're launching new apparel all the time. It's just an amazing amazing company. So guys, if you haven't already, you need to check them out and support a company that supports Americans. Try Origin out today by going to origusa.com. That's originusa.com. Use the promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order. Again, that's originusa.com, promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order. Okay? And I' I've heard the same thing before, [clears throat] that fourth day, there's something about that fourth day where things I mean, maybe if you look at it just literally, it's an odd number of days in a week. And so once you crest three and a half, right, it becomes more habitual because that's the thing is Bible study needs to be where if you miss it, something feels off, right? Cuz some people are like, "Man, I I didn't get my morning coffee. I feel off. Man, I'm out of Zins. I feel off. Man, I didn't work out today. I feel off." It kind of needs to get to that point where it's like, "Wait, I did not ingest the word of God." But [clears throat] Scott, I'm I'm curious even before we get further into what you're doing here. I kind of feel like the reason why people don't read the Bible, if I had to really try to nail it down is that they don't actually believe it's the word of God. They believe that this is a book, you know, it's got some fables and it's got some interesting myths in it and there's this Jesus character which, you know, they probably I mean, they wrote this thing down hundreds of years after he died anyway. So, it had probably moved into tall tale territory. And I think there are even Christians, Scott, when you ask them, even guys that are that are evangelicals, guys that go to Bible churches, things like that, they don't actually believe this is the word of God. They don't believe that it's God breathed. And look, I understand the the atheist argument, the circular argument where the only reason that people say that this is God breathed is because it says it's God breathed. Paul said in one of his epistles, which I could easily, you know, argue on their side to be like, well, if someone says a claim, they make a claim like the moon is made of cheese. And then they're like, what what's your evidence for that? They're like, well, I wrote a book and on page 874 I say the moon is made of cheese, thus the moon is made of cheese. It's like, bro, that circular reasoning, that is not how this is going to work. And so, what is your your read in the conversations y'all have at Logos as it pertains to people just honestly flat out not thinking that God wrote this thing? >> Yeah. No, that's absolutely if if I have honest conversations, you know, I I travel a lot, speak at a lot of conferences, and I I don't know what it is about my gray bearded face. They just unload on me like, you know, life story in five minutes kind of. And I'll hear that um you know I'm struggling with well and it's because they're out on social media and Google and you know it's all the bias against the faith right and and that's being proved left and right. >> Uh there's just report after report after report with AI having an absolute bias against Christianity. That's really the one that's marked right. But I also think [clears throat] it's I have met many who do believe it's the word of God, want to study, but then they they they open Leviticus. [laughter] >> Yeah. >> They open Revelation chapter 4 and they're like, you know, I don't know what. And then the danger, and we're going to talk about this, is I've got a question. So what do they go to? Google or or chat or or whatever? And then they get shipwrecked from bad interpretation of a text or unorthodox answers to uh key doctrines of the faith. Yeah. And that's part of the the struggle. And and so this might be a good time. Like I don't know where you're at in your slides, which by the way, guys, as I said in the intro, you're getting this for free, Dad Gummit. Like he gets paid to go and do this for people all over the globe. And so send your thank you notes to Canada and then they'll bring them and deliver them across the border to Scott. But ultimately, this may be a good time to get into the AI side of things because, man, I've been trying to sound the alarm because I've got some some buddies of mine that are really into the AI field. One buddy in particular that's super deep. >> And [clears throat] he's said before, he's like, "Wait, Kyle, you're still reading books of your authors before you bring them on the show. Why aren't you just letting AI do that and prepare your questions?" And I'm like, because they're my questions, not my robots's questions because I uploaded my whatever whatever into Claude, which you know looks at all these things and all my emails and every file that's on my computer and then tries to think like Kyle would think. It's incumbent upon me to do the work, right? I will use AI to help fetch me things, to help fetch me research or, you know, to reword some things, but ultimately it's got to be my work. But the problem that's so nefarious is that people will plug something into Gemini or Chad GBT or into Claude or into Grock and then whatever it comes back with, that's just what they believe now. And it's [clears throat] hard enough being in this culture where we have this crisis of discernment where you have people that are building their entire brand, building their empires on lying, on on bringing up conspiracy theories and saying, "Well, this is true. Why? Because because I think it because I had a dream. because I have this special gnostic revelation that you are not privy to, but if you listen to me and come back next week because there's going to be even more information that's going to blow your mind. But Scott, how do we surmise? Because >> again, a lot of people are stupid, right? We all have our dumb moments, you and I included. And so, we just go to something and we just want the cleanest answer. We work a 12-h hour shift, we come home, we got to do all the other different honeydews and stuff for the family. And I just got this question I'm curious about. So, I just throw it into chat and whatever it tells me I'm good with. How do we reckon with that? Like, how do you even fight against that? And we're still in the infantile stages of AI. It's not even gone to quantum and all the other different places where it's going to eventually become Terminator 2. What are we to do? Yeah. Yeah. And that was a big decision for us. You can imagine uh you know, this is the next era of Logos and and the big one was we wanted to tackle e ease of use. So, if you had got logos four or five years ago, super powerful. I you even said you went to a training probably two three days you know we filled up your brain as and then probably you left going okay I I you know maybe I can navigate 10 right because understand it was a tool developed by coders you know so that was kind of our first market and then pastors obviously adopted it and and had to master it because they have a sermon on Sunday right so they're like listen I have to learn this but that's not the average person so >> we finally dealt with the ease of use issue and I want to apologize Kyle to anybody that tried Logos 2 3 4 5 years ago when it was user hateful uh it is now yeah it is now userfriendly because we have implemented AI now you can imagine the day we announced to the millions of users of Logos that hey we have put AI >> oh that was a fun week right we got voicemails about mark of the beast and I hate you guys now and where can I mail my old logos discs back, you know, I mean, so, but listen, I was fine with the push back. I I think there needs to be more push back or critical thinking about AI with regards to biblical interpretation and theology and apologetics. So, I was fine with that, but I like to clear the air. You know, I speak at a conference, I love to kind of set the stage on our philosophical use of AI versus claude chat and what have you. And there's three major distinctives. Number one is garbage in, garbage out. Here's where I think the uprising came when we announced is that people assumed that we just connected the internet into logos, right? We just kind of chunk, you know, and called it good. We've got AI and we didn't. So I call this AI with guard rails, meaning it's only AI wrapped around the scripture and around scholarship. So commentaries. And we're going to talk about, you know, the the bundle you created where you kind of handpicked like these are fantastic commentaries and these are great apology and these are great church history books and so on. So we're not connecting you to the internet. That's a that's a huge win. Secondly though is hallucinations. So and this is the big problem, right? And you've already mentioned it'll make stuff up. So not only will it make up the answer, but now they're finding out more and more it's making up the confident answer it gives you. So it'll say, "Hey, here's the answer >> from this guy and this journal and this whatever and then if you actually traced the citation doesn't exist." Right? >> So Logos doesn't hallucinate in that when we give you an answer, we're going to give you a page number to open the Bible dictionary and read further. Okay. Now recently I was at a conference and I I just happened to see this uh this graph and so I've created a slide from it and this is hallucination rates on sources. Okay. The the the the graph doesn't look good either for the answers it gives. But I'm just saying when it confidently gives you an answer >> and says from here here this is where hallucination of sources. Now this is news questions. So hey what's going on in Nepal right now? What's going on here and Iran? Whatever. >> This is troubling. And I would actually say it's probably worse for theology because that's not really the expertise of any AI, right? Except for logos. >> Well, I've heard I've heard a lot of people mention Claude. Did you have any idea where Claude lands on here? >> I didn't see Claude on here, but uh it >> Yeah. Even if it was the winner at 25%. >> Yeah, [laughter] that's still terrible. >> That's horrible, right? >> Yeah. >> So, that that's disturbing. Now, here's the scary one for me. >> Theory of mine. uh we met yesterday and you said you were going to meeting after me with a mutual friend of ours and he he gave me a great example that I used with theory of mine and that uh he uses logos like allin loves it game changer but was curious as a pastor what would chat say about the back end of Romans chapter 1. So just think about Romans chapter one the back end. So give you know hey chat give me some interpretation here and it was not good heretical actually. So he pushed back and said this isn't correct and what did chat say? You're right. >> That's right. It agreed with >> Yeah. >> Right. So here's the thing. Logos doesn't have theory of mind. Meaning we're not trying to figure you out. We're really trying to help you figure out what the scripture says and what scholarship says. So um and listen, let's just be raw and real. Sometimes what the Bible tells me is not what I want to hear right now. >> Right. >> Yeah. >> And and so AI the goal is to tickle those ears, make you think you're awesome and everything, you know, just constant pat on the back. Pat on the back. Pat on the back. Um so no theory of mind in Logos. We want to help you figure out orthodoxy. What does the scripture say? Uh and so on so forth. So here here's something. You know, I've been going through Bara's recent state of the church report from February this year. Uh, and there's two things. One, read this. Christians are using AI more than any demographic right now. Christians are I I and I'm like, why is that happening? But, and nearly half of them now say that they trust AI with their spiritual growth. Like, like just handing AI their spiritual growth. >> OH, THAT'S TERRIFYING, SCOTT. Come on now. >> No. No. Well, and here's the other thing, and I got to create a slide for this one. I read a little more. more than half now trust AI more than their pastor. Um, which that's scary, right? >> Yeah. >> So, the tsunami that is getting ready to hit the church right between the eyeballs is right here that people are what you were saying, they trust the answer, they trust the sources, they don't have time to dig on their own. So, we want to provide a better option where again it's AI tag, you know, tied right into scripture and to real content, commentaries and Bible dictionaries. So, um, now here's the other good news. If anybody looked at Logos back in the day, it was spendy, right? You could easily, you know, a couple thousand three 4,000 because good books cost money. Um, we've now gone a subscription as low as 10 bucks a month now because of our uh live stream today. Um, you're offering a free 60-day. That's the gift that we're giving uh and an amazing theology course. So, hopefully you've heard of Dr. Michael Heiser. He's kind of the the unseen realm guy. Sadly, we lost Mike uh to cancer a few years ago, but he was our resident Hebrew scholar at Logos for about 14 years. and he recorded an amazing nine-hour course on how do we actually get the Old Testament canon? How do we get the New Testament canon? I think that firms up for a lot of people. I that's one issue I think what you said they don't really trust is this the word of God. Yeah, >> that's a great course. Actually, Wes Huff said this is a fantastic course on that issue. So, we've got some presents and gifts. Um, but with that, uh, kind of what I want to dig into is how how can we use Logos to ask good solid questions from good solid sources. Number one, the Bible uh, and commentaries and Bible dictionaries. And then how do we study? You know, I I think this is another excuse is I I I'm not I don't have any time to set aside 10, 15 minutes a day to dig into God's word. and and that's just not true. Um, you know, I told you I've got 10 kids. I travel a lot. If there's somebody on the planet that might be able to raise their hand and say, "I don't have enough time." I' I'd be a top candidate. But with Logos, 10 minutes is actually an amazing amount of Bible study. It really is. And then my favorite thing we'll show is we want to visualize the scripture. You know, we live in a culture that loves to see with our eyeballs. We want to visualize stuff. So, there are some tools and logos that you haven't seen yet. So, I'm excited, especially even for you, >> to literally have the Bible come to life with your eyeballs. So, >> those are the three things I want to tackle. >> Um, and then here we go. This is uh Logos Desktop. Now, when you do your free trial, the the offer we're going to give a your web page and a QR and all that. You get Logos for all your devices. So, you get it Mac, PC, Android, iPhone. There's no limit. Uh, so again, it's in your pocket. It's on your home computer, laptop, and this is kind of how it opens every day. You know, you can create a prayer journal. Uh, if you need some help, just type it here. I could type uh Greek study or devotions or my prayer journal, and we'll walk you through how to do that. Now, this is new. Uh, about a couple weeks ago, we completely overhauled our reading plans, and we want people reading a lot. Okay. Yeah. So, I'm going to hit manage plans, and I'm reading uh you know, I'm getting a little geeky with DA Carson and Exoggetical Fallacies, just kind of a classic work. Uh I read Knowing God by Packer every year. Um reading spiritual disciplines and so on. But I I just want to show you how easy it is to create a reading plan in Logos because again, Logos is not only AI, but it's a massive theological library, right? So, I'm going to hit new plan. Absolutely. Create a plan for your Bible. So you could click that and very uh you could say Psalms, Proverbs, Romans, Ecclesiastes, and Genesis. I mean, so you can be very specific or pick one of the plans we've created. But I want to show you how easy it is to add a plan uh for a book. I'm going to say Heiser. Uh I'm going to say Unseen. And there it is. The Unseen Realm by Heiser. I want to read that. Hit next. >> Now it take about eight hours. This is a big book. you know, Mike Mike wrote phone books, you know, like these big epic huge theological books. Um, so I could say, "Look, I want to read the whole thing." Or, you know, maybe you're in your men's Bible study and like, "Man, you got to read Heiser's Yahweh and his portion. That's part four, right?" So, you can be very specific on what you want to read, but I want to read the whole thing. I'm going to hit next. And I'm going to say, you know what? I can really only commit to this on Monday and Friday. Great. and can you send my mobile device a little reminder? And hey, accountability is a good thing. Amen. Um, but I'll I'll disregard that now, but you can have that. Now, it would take about 34 sessions at 15 minutes a session to read Heiser's big book, uh, Unseen Realm. Maybe I I can't commit to 15 minutes. So, I'm going to say, you know, I can commit to 6 minutes or 5 minutes or whatever. And now, obviously, it bumps my sessions and now I'm finishing next year. Uh, but hey, that looks good for me. I could do a chapter or say I want this done in 12 sessions. You pick. But when I hit finish, Logos just built out a Bible reading plan for Heiser's Unseen Realm. Okay. Now, what's great is uh I want to show you that uh I think it shows up now and later because I said I'd start tomorrow. But notice this [clears throat] little button right here where if I want I can hit share. And right now I'm reading it by myself. But if I want my whole men's Bible study to go with me through Heiser's unseen realm, which we have, I just hit that, hit copy link, text it, and we're on the same Bible reading plan, right? So, it's that easy now uh in Logos to create uh plans for reading theology, right? Um so, that's a new feature I wanted to point out. And listen, let me point that out too. The other benefit of subscription, not only is the price come crashing down with logos, but every six weeks we're releasing new features. And I was in a meeting this week, Kyle, and I actually I already gave you a little preview and you said, >> I know, >> can we please show that? And I said, nope, it's top secret right now. But listen, where we're going with this tool called Logos is shocking. And every six weeks, new features just show up. Okay. >> Well, Scott, let me let me ask you real quick on the So, when [clears throat] you you pulled up that Heiser book, uh because I'm because I'm still I'm I got this stuff when it was incredibly hard to use. And so, I'm still kind of there in my brain trying to figure out I like how to use it. >> Um would it only allow you to bring up the books that are in the Undaunted Life study bundle or is that any book that's on the app? Because I remember before it's like, okay, well, you get access to these books if you pay for the silver plan or you get access to all these additional books if you pay for the gold plan. So, what do they have? available to create a plan. >> Great call out. It would have to be a book you own obviously, otherwise the publishers would shut us down if you could just, you know, imagine, you know, every book on your Kindle or however you read, you know. No, you have to have the book in Logos. And so that's a that's a good little uh call out because the library that we'll cover here uh that you put together, amazing books and you need to read the books. you know, you didn't put that bundle together >> just for the sake of fun. It's like, no, I want you to read these apologetic books. I want you to read these uh uh uh spiritual disciplines books and things like that. Okay, so that's for reading books, but let me show you uh there's the Bible button. So, Logos says the Bible is and it is the most important book in your entire theological library. So, the Bible gets its own button. So, I'm going to open up my Bible and I want to show you this new feature that automatically appears on the screen over here on the right and it's called insights. Now, I'm going to drag the window open because I want more real estate. Uh, but notice there um I see stuff about Paul and I see some commentary. So, what this feature is doing is it's paying attention to the passage passage that I'm in. So, I'm in Romans 1 right now and in a minute I'll switch to Leviticus to show you what happens. But I want everybody to notice that Logos is paying attention to the text Romans 1:1, Paul, a servant. And so what did it pull out? It saw the word Paul and said, "Okay, maybe someone reading the Bible doesn't know who this Paul guy is." Right? So it's got instant uh articles into my Bible dictionary. So if I want to know more about Paul uh and infographics, you know, I'm a visual learner. Uh, so if you can actually show me Paul and his missionary journeys and and things like this, that's even better for me. Uh, so that's what it's going to bring is not just Bible dictionaries, but visuals. I even have commentaries. So I can click more and I'm getting into a commentary right now. I've got related passages. But the big idea is watch what happens when I start scrolling through Romans. Okay, so I start scrolling and I stop and notice where it stops. I stopped where Romans talking about the wrath of God. I need to know kind of what that uh means. And and there we go. Now, you can change your study Bible. I mean, I think all of us have a study Bible, whether it be the ESV or the uh Faith Life or whatever. You can change and you can even change your commentary. So based on your bundle, if someone's interested in buying your bundle, you picked one of my absolute favorite commentaries and you could select that as your preferred commentary. But the big idea again is when I go to Leviticus chapter 1, you know, and let's be honest, this is where everybody's Bible reading plan falls off, right? They they're great through about April when you hit Leviticus because why? I don't know what all this means. Blemishes and priests and blood and pleasing aromas to the Lord. But now I don't have to worry about that because as I scroll through the text, I literally have my insight right there on the uh on this panel. Now you can turn this off. You know, maybe it's your time in the morning with the Lord. I don't want distractions because I I always want to read read read. So I'm like, "Hey, this is me and Jesus and the Bible. I I don't want distraction." But that's how you turn it off. turn on. And this is on your phone as well. So when you open Bible on your mobile app, you'll see the little insights button. Uh just be looking for that little cross with the light bulb. Okay? And that that's your insights. So that's a simple tool uh to help you read and understand the Bible. I showed you reading plans to create reading plans for all of your great theology books. But let's jump into study assistant because this is the most talked about feature in the history of logos. Okay. Um I've had people say, Kyle, if all I did was open Logos and that's the only thing it did, it's been game changer for me. Okay. Now, I want to point out that maybe someone is a new Christian is like, I I don't know what questions to ask, right? [laughter] Like I'm so new. I don't know what I don't know. So >> Scott, can I actually can I actually I wanna I want to pause there for just one second. Uh because obviously you can see down there at the very bottom if you're watching this on YouTube guys, you can select, you know, where it's looking. So this is your books or you know what, whatever you have. >> So one of my questions is what happens when you ask a question that there's a tremendous amount of theological difference on? So maybe this is on something to do with, you know, God's sovereignty versus free will, right? So, you have the the reformed Calvinist camp, you've got the Armenian camp, you got all that, but then also I I feel the need, you and I talked about this yesterday, but for anybody that's just new to the show. Um, everyone's heard me talk about this first thing I did that made me furious at the AI thing. And then the second thing that I did that just came up this week as I was preparing a Daily Blade, but I was doing some research for a project and I go to the Logos, you know, AI because I was like, "Oh my gosh, this AI thing is spectacular. It's it's helped me so much." And I said, 'Hey, isn't everywhere where pastor or elder or deacon or or whatever is described in the Bible, isn't uh the g the language always gendered male? And I hit go and this long mealymouth speaking out of one side of your mouth, switching to the next sentence, speaking out of the other side of your mouth. It was so frustrating reading what it what it responded with. I literally got mad at the AI, right? Which again, if you once, you know, T2 happens, they're coming for me first. But I was like, "Stop trying to answer like you're in a room full of feminists trying to win a debate. What does the text say?" And then it basically said, "Yeah, it's it's all gendered male." And then the other day I was looking for biblically based arguments that show that Islam is a false religion. And I plugged it in there like that. And then this is what it said. I can't help with this request. The search results don't address the specific worldviews you've listed. And more importantly, I'm not able to provide biblical references designed to argue that entire categories of people or belief systems are inherently dangerous. So, a Bible app by a Christian company wouldn't help me with biblical references to why Islam is a false religion. But then, when you and I talked yesterday, you massage the prompting on the front end and got much better results. And here's the problem, Scott. I do this all you do this all day every day within Logos. I do content creation all day every day. But I'm thinking about Bubba. I'm thinking about the guy that buys the Undon Life study bundle and he he doesn't spell half the words right that he plugs into the AI and then he basically gets told by the the AI, take two of these and call me in the morning. And so like help teach us how to best prompt this AI to where you don't end up wanting to punch every screen in your house. [laughter] >> Yeah. So, what I think what I showed you is being a bit more specific and but you're right. Some people like, I don't know how to be more specific. The Mormons just showed up at my front door. What, you know, what do I do? >> So, what I've learned and but this is being fixed. So, one of the things that we are monitoring, you know, uh we're we're constantly looking at results. We've kicked resources out uh that didn't really hold to a evangelical we already talk response, right? Um, so there is a good call out between your books and all books. So I tell everybody always start with your books because that's the library that comes with the the different levels, you know. So we're going to talk about premium pro and max and it would be your study bundle, right? Yeah. Um, which listen has value because if I'm Pentecostal charismatic and you know and I've over the last 10 years been just loading up logos with with my view on things versus the uh reform guy or Southern Baptist uh uh you know person. I want an answer that's a little more Southern Baptist, right? Because that's what I've been investing in. So that's where good call out start with your books. But all books has value. I mentioned, you know, I'm very very good friends with Vodie Bacham. Uh I think you I've seen I saw him on your channel or something and and Vod would go search all books because sometimes he needed to see that weak argument on another side of the evangelical church on this because if he's going to go after it, he needs to know their thought process. You know, how how are you manipulating passages to get to that? So that's good. But but understand that's more of a scholarly uh query if you will, right? Um so V vot was fine with us getting some titles of people that he's like, you know, that person and I debate. Um but I need the sources, right? Yeah. >> So I've actually been doing this right now with the Passion translation. Um, so there's a new tool coming out that nails that and I sent you some results and you're like, "Oh, can I have this today, right?" Um, but so we're incrementally releasing the a watching it constantly. Uh, so what we didn't do is open the floodgates to, [snorts] you know, every bell and whistle possible with AI. We're being very methodical and steady. But what's coming? Case in point with the Passion translation. I was able to go in there and say, "Give me 10 clear um misinterpretations." Uh and then give me the theology. And it it absolutely blew me away. I've sent it to a couple people and like when I want that feature now. So that's coming. >> But very good call out on your books. I think that's where you start. And and let's just give a little example. Let's just say someone uh again, Bubba, new Christian, pastor talks about the Trinity and they're like, "Okay, I need to know more about the Trinity." So, I'm just going to say, "What is the Trinity?" Okay, what is the Trinity? And we're off and running. Again, your books. That's what I've got selected. Okay. Now, one of the great things about AI that was frustrating with old Logos is you just type the way you talk. Okay. Um, old logos you had to type the way we taught you to type, right? And if you didn't say it exactly. So, just say what you need to say. And listen, even if you don't know how to formulate I' I've literally typed in here, Kyle, >> questions and I didn't even really know what I needed or was looking for. And I've been pretty shocked how how awesome Logos has been. But here we go. >> Notice that I got a response with the numbers. The numbers represent the citations, right? So, I'm I'm reading Tertullian, one of my favorite early church fathers. So, if I want to read further, remember I said the problem with hallucination of sources with AI. Watch this. I click it. I'm in the book, Kyle. I'm I'm reading way more than just the little synopsis that Logos gave me in the response. So, remember, we always give the sources. Now, >> some are going to say, "Scott, this was really good, but man, I want more." Okay. Well, that new feature coming will give you more. But all you have to do right now, Kyle, is say, "Give me more." So, every person that calls me and says, "Scott, I love it. I love it, but man, I I wanted to spend another hour." And I just say, "Keep keep saying, give me more. Give me more." Now, I think a great exercise, Kyle, is uh something like, "Give me key passages." Right? I think we should always go see a doctrine from scripture, right? So, and I said key passages. There's another tool in Logos if you wanted every passage, but I I don't want that right now. Uh, and here's some very good key passages on the Trinity. Now, I noticed something, uh, Kyle. I noticed no Old Testament. Right now, the Trinity is in the Old Testament. Okay, not as pronounced. So, again, all I have to do to clear that up is say, uh, I could say, "What about the OT?" Okay, Logos knows OT is Old Testament. It's now analyzing the Old Testament to find those key passages. And notice too, Kyle, I'm I've never restated the Trinity. So, once my conversation starts, I didn't say, "Give me key passages about the Trinity." I I just keep asking questions about that. >> Now, this is great. I I'm going to This is a great question, and I wish it w I had thought of this, but watch this. Um, can we know love without this doctrine? Now, what's what why this question came up? I I do a lot with the NFL and I work with a lot of quarterbacks. A lot of quarterbacks are Bible believing, you know, men of faith and some of them lead the Bible studies for their team. So, I'm working with a quarterback who, believe it or not, has Muslims starting to show up at the Bible study. Okay? And the reason why we he wanted a deep dive in this is is we serve a go a trinitarian God. God, father, son, holy spirit. Bible says he's love. So God is love, but he's also trinitarian. Now think about again the god of Islam, Allah is one. Okay. What is radically missing from an Islamic worldview? Love, grace, right? Why? They don't have the trinity. So can someone experience love without the trinity? Of course you can. But fundamentally to define what love is, you have to have the doctrine of the trinity. Now what's interesting is I'm going to ask another question. Um because this is something I'm learning about study assistant. I mean I'm learning almost every day better ways to use this tool. The reason for this question was this. How can I plant gospel seeds in the hearts of my Muslim teammates? I mean that's specific that that's why and we spent an hour in this again. Give me more. Let's dig into more. But when you get done with a question in logos, I mean, it's it's talking about uh communicate cultural awareness, strategic, what what does Islam mean about submission? And I mean, and again, I could say give me more, but it's going and finding like apologetic arguments on how I could use this for evangelism because that's what I asked for, right? Like build a relationship first, right? And that's what he's doing. He's loving on these guys and he's planting seeds of the gospel and seeds of truth and so on and so forth. >> So what I'm learning is ask specifically what do you want to do with this thing that you're digging into. Now >> Scott, let me ask you real quick before we move on. Uh so sometimes you have to reset the AI. So if I've ever tried to make an image, you know, you're three or four images in, you start to edit it and then it starts getting wild. And so what you do is you go back to the last image that wasn't absolute garbage. you save that, then you open up a new chat and then you just start start over again and then it's like, oh, it just kind of resets, but it's still remembering some of your preferences. So, that same uh research project that I was doing, I was doing an episode called Hell's Hydra where I was like, how is Satan using worldviews and philosophies to jack with people and it was fundamentalist Islam, socialism communism um LGBTQ activism, globalism, and then I've added a fifth one, which is feminism. Well, I asked it separately about all five of those. It just flat out would not give me results. And so the problem you have because we talk about pastors. So if you have a pastor who's maybe more like TED talk, he's a he gives you shots of milk every week, right? So it's a, you know, it's 45 seconds of Bible reading with 45 minutes of personal anecdotes to try to get you to laugh, come back next week for your spiritual skittles. Yeah. >> Like you have these guys that are left over like, well crap. like they're trying to put in this policy at my kids, you know, public school that's going to allow boys to play on the girls team. I I inherently know this is wrong, but I can't I don't know how to argue that. Like, I I work in a factory. Like, hey, I you know, I I sell insurance, you know, I I I'm a bean counter, whatever the thing is. And then they go into something like this and they type it in their way and they're like, "How can I fight against radical gender ideology or something like that?" And then the logos is like, "Ah, that's a little bit offensive the way you worded it. So, no, I'm not going to help you." So, is that getting better? Is that going to be like help? Because that has just been that's been the one thing that I'm like, "Oh my god, just help me." And then I have to go to these other sources and do some Googling just to even try to create my own arguments, you know? >> No. And that's that feature that's coming out that I've had probably four or five people that we all know, you know, send me a question because they're getting ready to do a live stream and I run it through this new feature and they're like, "That is [clears throat] absolutely awesome." So again, this is where Logos just gets better every six weeks. We're adding new feed. But I would say this, um, I would never, let's say I have five things that I'm wanting to tackle. You mentioned three or four. I would do one at a time, uh, instead of bunching the whole category into a single paragraph. And then I want everybody to notice that there is a recent button here. So you can have as many conversations as you want, right? So for example, uh, let's just get real practical here. Uh, you know, one of my sons, again, I I got 10 kids, um, asked, "Hey, Dad, why does God allow suffering?" This is a great apologetic question. You know, it's one of those questions they think they got us on, you know, hey, if God is good and love and all, you know, why? And I love the fact that right out the gate, you need to begin with God's empathy. Jesus suffered, right? We we serve a God that knows what suffering is. So, we he's not distant from suffering experience. So, great answer. uh you know, we have the ability to hurt. You know, that God gave us that ability to hurt. Uh but you grow through it, right? That's a great thing for a father to tell a son that, hey, buck up. You're going to learn through this. Um and you're going to be able to provide comfort to those that suffer, your friends and so on. So then I said this, you know, what are examples in the Bible of God using suffering suffering in someone's life for good? And so I got Paul and Job. And again, if this isn't enough for you, all you type is give me more, right? But then I said this, can I can you summarize this into three main points for me to leave my family in a Bible study? And so here's a great thing about Logos. We've hardcoded and I think you've gotten the the push back. No, we've hardcoded Logos to never write your Bible study, to never write your sermon, to never write your paper. You're at Bible college. Praise God. Because listen, there are preachers today using chat DPT for exactly that. Like, hey, I'd rather golf this week, chat. Can you write my sermon on Romans 8? Forgetting that it hallucinates that the sources aren't correct. All that. Logo says no. I love the fact that Logo says no. Now, it will come back >> and say we're not going to do that, but we'll help. Like, do you want us to pull key theology out of the text? Do you want us to help you give an outline? you know, things like that. Now, with kids, this is a great three-pointer. God transforms evil into good. Suffering develops character. Suffering equips us to help others. But then I said, can you eliterate? Cuz you know, kids kind of if it sticks in the head a little bit better with alliteration, we'll even alliterate, right? Um, but let me show you a conversation and a new feature uh that is absolutely blown me away. I was in the Gospel of John uh and I noticed something I'd never seen before. There are no exorcisms in the gospel of John. So think about the ministry of Jesus. Jesus was always casting out demons, dealing with Satan, missing from John. So I asked the question, why are there no exorcisms in John? Okay, got a great answer. But Kyle, this third paragraph, h this will preach. John's theological framework. The couple paragraphs there, but this line right here in John's worldview, Jesus is presented as equal with God, making Satan and his agents already defeated foes who need not appear in the narrative. Basically, listen, John says, "Satan, you're defeated. Christ is king. I know that. You know that. I'm not going to waste ink on you." I mean, that is the ultimate backslab. I love that line. So, listen. I wanted to share it with my men's Bible study. So, there's a feature now in study assistant and it'll be on your phone as well because you got study assistant on your phone. You click that and Kyle, if you have your phone ready, I'm going to text you on my other screen here. Uh, what I just copied, that little copy link. And if you open up your phone and click the link that I just sent you, you're going to notice something. What's going to appear on your phone is the entirety of this deep dive. I talked about John mentioning uh does John mention demonic activity. You So, this is awesome for someone that asks you a theological question. You want to get him a good biblical answer or your kids or you know you're in a men's Bible study. I can hit copy link and send it to my whole group, right? Um so I'm working with churches now. Now they're like, "Scott, this is going to be a game changer for disciplehip because they can go in, build out a conversation. What does the Bible say about gender?" Well, the Bible says a lot about gender. Really does. It's all over scripture. Build out a biblical response to that. It'll be over here in recent. And when someone asks you that question, hey, does the Bible Yes, the Bible says a lot about that. You could just load up the conversation, hit copy link, send it to them. Now, here's the thing. They don't have to have logos. We want them to have >> lost like Yeah, because if they don't have a logos and I'm I'm discipling this kid, he's, you know, he's 19 and he maybe he can't afford it or something. >> The whole conversation shows up on his phone in a in a little web browser. So, it's awesome. Now, if they have logos, you have logos. So, what happened for you is when you click the link, it opened into your study assistant. That's right. >> Which means which means now you can continue the conversation. >> Now, will it open up into my recents under study assistant? >> Yes. >> Okay. Yeah, that's that's a great that's great. Okay, >> so you know what you know what we do on my men's Bible study is one of us will have this great idea we're thinking about something some you know maybe it's some geeky unseen realm stuff that we reading in Heiser I'll start a conversation hey what do you think about and then they'll go off for a day or two and then copy the link and send it back to me which is awesome. Hey guys, real quick I just wanted to remind you that we have an official Undaunted Life store. You can go to shop.undaunted.life or check it out in the show notes. Guys, we're always going to have hats and shirts and a bunch of other awesome stuff. Go there, support us, wear the mission. Again, it's shop.undaunted.life. Check out the link in the show notes. Shop.undaunted.life. So, I I got to describe to you because I we got to run to a close at some point, but I got to describe to you uh my best experience with the Logos AI. Um and one of my guys that I'm coaching in the Dominion program, he pointed this out cuz I ruptured my bicep about 6 months ago. You know, it's absolutely kind of rejiggered my entire life. And he just goes, "Hey, do you think God allowed your bicep to explode so that you could spend more time doing the thing that you did which I'm about to describe." And so I saw one passage, I think it was in 1 Samuel, where it talked about how a harmful spirit from the Lord was tormenting King Saul. How many times have we seen that? We've seen it depicted gorgeously on House of David. Like, you know, you know, it's all this great stuff. But I was like, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. What did it say? From the Lord. Mhm. >> Wait, wait, wait. Cuz I I knew it was a demon, but I'm like, this says from the Lord. Okay, maybe that's just like a weird phrase that we got, you know, from a different lexicon and oh, maybe it's just the ESV, maybe it's just the NASBY, maybe it's just whatever. And then I went down a rabbit hole for months about and it was basically centered, I didn't know it at the time, but it was centered around the sovereignty of God. And so eventually, I'm speeding up because this became of my thousand-ish episodes that I have of this show, it's an episode called A Leash on the Dragon. And if I croak in the middle of this interview, that's the one thing that I want you to share with everybody to show you what this was about and what we're here for. I get all the way through. I'm in Ezekiel. I'm in Revelation. I end up in uh the the book of John. I'm in the upper room and I'm talking with Matt Chandler about this. I'm talking with Joby Martin about this. I'm talking with Josh Howard about this. I'm just bouncing this off of people. Then I get to the upper room and then you see in the Gospel of John that it says Satan enters into Judas and the very next words out of Jesus's mouths are are what you must do do quickly. Now we've seen that in the chosen. We've seen it depicted a billion different ways. Everyone defaults to thinking Jesus is talking to Judas being like look you're not slick dude. I know what you're about to do. Go ahead. That's not what he's doing. He's not talking to Judas. He's talking past Judas. >> Mhm. And so when I picked up the pieces of my brain off of the floor and shoved it back into my head, I literally go into the Logos AI and I give a short explanation of what I had read in all these different areas. And the Logos goes, it was really funny. It was like talking to a buddy. It was like talking to Chandler. It was like, "Hey, that's a really interesting connection. Here's the biblical references that I think solidify your case even more." >> So I I think that was an interesting thing. It was almost like the AI was interacting with me because the reason why you have so many different pastors and so many different theological persuasions is because people read the text and come to different conclusions. It doesn't change what the text says. It doesn't change what truth is. >> But they're pulling something different out because they are a shepherd for a specific flock. Now, I'm not a pastor. Please do not treat me like your pastor. But I feel like the audience is in a way my flock and if I lead them astray, that's a problem. And so I never want to do that. So that was my favorite experience with the Logos AI because I couldn't have that conversation with Claude or with Grock or with any of these different things. Like there are uses for those things and and they can be great in their own way. >> This was something I had to have conversations with real people. And I got the logos to basically respond in the same way that all these pastors whose books you read and who you you know, love and trust. And it it agreed with me. But then it said, "Here's some other things that maybe you're not considering that makes this case even more established." And so that man, that was my best experience with the AI. But since I said we got to wind to a close, uh I actually just got a message uh from the Canadian government. It's from the uh the office of Mark Carney from the prime minister. He says that he does not want you to show me that brand new thing that you're talking about that's going to be out soon that's super top secret and all that. The country of Canada, Scott, does not want you to show this feature to my audience. Okay, because this is coming out in a couple of weeks. I I just got to know what is your response to that because I mean this you live right on the border. You're already wearing all the USA get up to the airport so you're you're kind of fine with you know sticking people in the eye a little bit. So what are we going to do about that? got if if they would cross the border and uh come to my house, I would allow them into my office to see and witness on my screen the new feature, but it's still in beta. So, I said, >> I'm in your office right now. Like, this is this is I don't know if you know this, but technology has made it to where I don't have to be in your office to be in your office cuz here I am. I'm looking at your screen and everybody knows it's beta. Like, no one's no one's even listening anymore. No, no one's watching, Scott. This is just one of those things where it's like, "Hey, you said you want people to be in the Bible. Why not blow their minds?" >> I would, but I have to enter a backdoor portal at Logos, which takes permissions and all kinds of fun. And they're probably >> They're probably coding it right now cuz it's in beta. >> Yeah, we can just stop the screen share and you [laughter] just bring it back up whenever you've gotten through the Matrix. Am I going to make >> No, you know what it is? is we're going to get everybody excited and then in another couple uh month or so when it comes out, we'll do part two. Mind-blowing. And I'll listen, I'll let you be one of the first on the planet to reveal. How's that? That's the agreement. >> Uh it feels like a plan B, but you know what? It sounds like you're going to you're going to stick to your guns on this one, so I'm not going to make it any more awkward than I already have. Uh but yes, I >> let me let me show one feature uh because I wanted to cover a base on how does someone study the text and you gave a great example. Well, you said you were in Ezekiel. Um but for any Bible study or topic, so it's called factbook. So study assistant again is where you go. Uh >> can I be selfish? Can I actually have you do Romans 11 because I'm going to be recording a forging table on the first chunk of Romans 11 where it talks about Elijah. Could you maybe go there and do whatever you're about to do? >> So here we go. We type in I'm doing a little study on image of God right now. I've just been geeking out on the doctrine of a mo day image of God. It's been great. But you're going to type I'm going to type in because you said Romans 11. And I want to point this out. When you type in a passage, wait a second to get what we call the paricopy or the theme because it's important that you pull that context as part of your study. So I think we wanted you wanted to go to the remnant of Israel which is one through and Elijah's in there. So I'm going to click that. So, we're now really focused on these first 10 passages. So, there's my Bible. Uh, there's my commentaries. Again, commentaries are great, but commentaries can be quite lengthy. I mean, some of them can be, you know, 20, 30 pages. So, look at this feature right here. Summarize will summarize that scholar's kind of tackling of the text. Like, what was their focus, how did they outline the text, and so on so forth. Um, so for the time that you know, I've got what uh mounts and others. I mean, there's a great scholar. Um, so that's great. I get a little summarization if I don't have time to read everything. But the gold is right here in a section called questions to ask. And I I would argue one of the greatest barriers to personal Bible study is what Logos just did in a second. So what we did was we took the text that you just gave me and we'll do this with anything. Leviticus, Revelation, Numbers, you know, whoever who studies Numbers, nobody. But with this, it's amazing because we're going to provide the right exeetical lens, cultural lens, and so on. So, look, what's the historical context of Romans 11? I want to know that. Uh there's Elijah. What's the significance of Elijah? I want to know that. Um how can I understand uh that God seems harsh judgments? Let's talk about that. Uh is there a future for the nation of Israel? Uh how does God's faithfulness apply to Israel today? So again, whatever question intrigues you, you're like, "Wow, I've never even thought of that question before." Give Logos a couple seconds. You pick as many questions as you want. And here comes the answer. So what is the significance of Elijah? Well, Paul invokes Elijah narrative from first kings uh so I could read the text to demonstrate God's faithfulness and and justify the concept of faithful remnant within Israel. The passage uh serves as a historical parallel to Paul's central argument that God has not rejected his people whom he forneew. Couple more paragraphs, but let's just say you want more. Like, hey, this was a good start again on the significance of Elijah in the text. So, watch this. At the bottom of the the the the answer, there's a button that that guess what? Click it on any of these, right? and it loads it into your study assistant. Meaning what? You can continue the conversation. >> So if you're building a teaching from this, you might say, "Hey, can you pull out three main points from this insight on Elijah from the text, you know, or or tell me more about Elijah or whatever you're continuing the conversation." But what I love about this is I think this knocks down that barrier for so many people that again hit Leviticus uh you know one or whatever and you know I don't know the questions to even ask that text right well get down to questions to ask. Uh I mean look at how great this question is. How does the burnt offering foreshadow Christ? >> That's a great question when you're reading Leviticus 1. So, that's a new feature in Logos. Uh, Factbook's been in Logos for a while, but Questions to Ask is my absolute favorite thing uh in Logos. Uh, in Factbook, uh, for the last couple minutes, I want to show you that we've got so many of these, I wish I could show them all, but here's where I was talking about where we visualize the Bible. Um, so notice the colors. Genesis is blue, meaning what? It's narrative. You can float your cursor and get your snapshot. You could actually click on any book of the Bible and get the full breakdown. It's a law book written in Hebrew, biblical eras, key people, places, and let's just say, you know what, I want to know more about Abraham. You click Abraham, and Logos just took Abraham, went to Factbook, that tool we're just in, and literally did 20 hours worth of study on Abraham. I mean, all the the Greek, the he, all the as geeky as you want to be. This is incredible. Um, with one click that Logos did that, right? But here's the gold. Um, notice that I'm looking at the books of the Bible. I can put them in the Hebrew canon order, but entertain right here. And you could look at the timeline, the age of the books of the Bible, right? We'll show you, you know, when these books were written. But interext shows you how the Old New Testament talked to each other. So, if I come over here to Romans, that's what we're in. We're now showing you, Kyle, for your Romans 11. These are the books of the Bible that are cited in the book of Romans. Okay, if I want to see how Isaiah intersects with the New Testament or Psalms intersects. So there we go. Psalms is in these New Testament books. So this was me floating, but watch this. If I click on Psalms, these are the passages in Psalms in the New Testament. These are the passages cited in the New Testament. The first one, temptation of Christ, where Satan says to him, hey, if you're the son of God, throw yourself down. And what does Satan do? He cites Psalm 91. So, it's not just something that's amazing to see the interaction. You actually interact with it. >> Now, we'll also do things like take you to the Holy Land. You know, I've not been yet. I don't know if you've been. It's definitely on my bucket list. >> But if you want to go to key archaeological discoveries or what have you, I'm going to click here on Jerusalem. Everything you see there on the left goes to Factbook. So, if I don't know who Herod is or what is a Jebusite, you could float or click. But look what we did. This is a satellite image right now of Jerusalem. But if you take the bar, scroll it across the screen, we show you what it looked like at the time of Christ. And listen, >> will this tell us where the Ark of the Covenant is? >> No, we'll not. That that that's a new feature coming out. >> That's not fact. Oh, that's in about six weeks, guys. Okay. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. But listen, this is just amazing that we'll take you on a on a on a archaeological dig, if you will, where they've discovered absolute amazing things that prove the scripture, if you will. I mean, this is a stone they discovered that literally has inscribed on it the house of David. Establishing what? King David, right? Yep. So, this is amazing in that we're going to visualize your studies as well. So, at this point, let's segue into your amazing bundle, but I want to apologize to everybody, Kyle, that decides to give the Logo 60-day trial a a shot. You're going to lose some sleep. >> Meaning, it listen, I have people all the time, Scott, I went to bed at 3:00 in the morning cuz I started digging into this thing and Logos was just an amazing resource. Um, but let's go to your uh the special page that we've set up. Um, that is the >> logos.com/undauntedlife, fellas. >> Yep. Right there. So, there's your QR code so you can get your phones out, scan logos.com undaunted life. Now, couple options and let me actually take you to the the web page itself. Um, cuz you can just do the 60-day trial. Okay, so that's your 60 days. These are the three levels, premium, pro, and max. I'm going to recommend pro. And here's the reason why. Pro allows you to do some Greek and Hebrew word studies. Um, it brings biblical counseling. So, how would I talk to somebody about gender issues or what have you from a biblical perspective? So, that is an amazing addition to pro. Um, but premium's great, too. But if you get 60 days free, why not try the pro level, right? >> But here's the bundle that we created with you. So, we sat down. You handpicked some key sources. So, what I want everybody to see, yes, you can just do one of these for 60 days. That's the AI, okay? With with a library because again, we're not connecting you to the internet. So, we do have to provide a library at premium, pro, and max. But if you want to do let's say pro, my recommendation with your bundle, you simply click that button and you get both. You get the free 60 days. But this is ownership, meaning the books that you handpicked. Uh, and we'll go ahead and and you know, if you want to learn more about what Kyle picked for the bundle, go ahead and click the button. And this is the list. So, top Bible translations, that ESV commentary is one of my absolute favorites. And I want everybody to do some math, Kyle. >> If if [clears throat] someone was just to buy the commentaries that you said, good, good, good. I mean, and I'm not even covering the amazing IVP series you put in there or the amazing resources you put in for apologetics, spiritual growth, and so on so forth. Here's your uh introduction to Old New Testament. I mean, look at I'm I'm still scrolling. I mean, this is a big library. >> Yeah. >> If you were to buy all those books, you would literally spend $3,300. Meaning go to Logos, >> load up the shopping cart with what Kyle handpicked, >> you're gonna spend 33. >> The price is 2.97. >> Okay, >> that's a 91%. Like if I walked into a Christian bookstore, Kyle, and they said that massive room of books, 91% off, I would probably just say yes regardless of every single book. But you handpick top books, right? So you you do that. Now, I want to point out to everybody, make sure if you do the learn more button, which is what we just saw where it lists, don't buy it there cuz the discount's not there. The discount is on this page, the logos.com/undaunted life. Okay? But if you decide, hey, Scott, I think I want to do pro with undaunted life. Click the button. It'll load it in your shopping cart. But look what we're also giving everybody. Michael Heheisers again, how did we get the Bible? That's a $500 gift. Okay. And then again, if you want to do the monthly option, 30 bucks a month. So for some Kyle, they're probably going, "Man, I really want this, but I don't know if I can afford 297 right now, even at 91% off." Remember, there's an option at 30 bucks a month. So after 12 months, Kyle, done. Own it. Okay. Forever. Uh forever ownership. So that's the page you need to get to. There's a little description on Heiser's amazing course and how we got the Bible. Again, you can choose just a the AI with with uh with the library that we put in there, but I would highly highly recommend because you really handpicked some of the best books available at Logos. >> Now, Scott, real quick, is is the Heiser bundle is that just for the for the next two weeks after this episode comes out. Okay, so guys, if you're listening to this on time, because I know some of you are listening to this in the future, this is coming out on uh September the 24th. Sorry, we're in the past, technically in the future. Guys, this episode comes out on September the 24th of 2026. So, this that Heiser, you know, added bonus $500 thing that is only available until October the 8th. Okay? So, if you're listening to this or watching this right now, you got to jump jump on board to get that. But even if you're listening to this at some point in the future, like like I said, we me and my team here, we spent a lot of time combing through the different resources to create the 200 plus resources that would be a part of our bundle. Um, and so yeah, all that's going to be spectacular as well, but I did just want to clarify that. >> Yeah, and there's the deadline. Um, now remember, you do get the 60 days free trial if that's what you just decide, one of those. Uh, but I'm going to highly recommend get the bundle as well. Um, but you do, it does require a credit card. Just set things up. Nothing's charged on the the trial part, right? Um if you have old logos, this is your upgrade, right? So, still scan the QR code, go to the page, pick one of your levels, premium pro max. Um mobile is absolutely amazing. Everything we discussed today, uh outside of the interactive, so the little uh you know slider on, you don't want to do that on your iPhone. Um, but everything else, uh, factbooks on your phone, uh, study assistant, but let me just remind everybody, you don't need four ways to watch a movie, right? I mean, this is just some of the things that some subscribe to. Get rid of one, right? You can have logos right? >> Yeah, definitely get rid of the one you pick. So, nice job. >> That was on purpose. Yeah. I love to close with this and then if you want to give some final comments here but John Owen said if the word does not dwell in us it will not pass with power from us. So we want to create a tool that makes Bible study something you look forward to something you want more of. I want you to lose sleep. I I want there to be a night in the next couple weeks where you look up at the clock it's 1:00 a.m. and you're digging into theology and scripture and so on. But I'll leave the slide up. There's your deadline as you said, October 8th. That's when the free course and all the other goodies. There is actually a better discount for those two weeks as well. Um, but there we go. Logos.com/undonedlife. And man, thanks for having me, Scott. This is uh fantastic. I just love uh that we're doing this. And we will certainly uh have you back on to talk about some of the additional features that are coming out cuz guys look at this as like yes, it's hey, look at this. You know, it's something shiny. look at it. But also, you can revisit an episode like this to make sure you go through because if you're anything like me, you go through a training for something and then you walk out and you're like, I don't remember what just happened. That's basically me at jiu-jitsu at all times. You just watched a human being do it. Now you got to go do it to another human being and it's gone. Boom. Fart in the wind. So, we got to make sure that we avoid that. But Scott, that is all for me. Thanks for letting us go into overtime a little bit here. But is there anything else you want to get off your chest? >> That's it. Thank you. Thank you. >> All right. We'll talk soon. There you go, guys. Hope you enjoyed my time with Scott. But before we let you go, we are going to do a quick resilience boost. Our mission at Undaunted Life is equipping men to push back darkness with content that forges spiritual, mental, and physical resilience. So, I got one thing for you to do. It's logos.com/unddedlife. lgos.com/unaedlife. Again, like I said, like he had the QR code there in the middle there. So, you could like scan that. You're going to get that extra bonus, that $500 course for free. Again, I had no idea that they were even going to do that. He kind of sprung that on me in the middle of this whole deal. And that's just for you guys because they so appreciate that I have a huge audience of 95% men. But shout out to the 5enters that want to dig into the Bible more, that want to be more equipped spiritually. And so they've got that all there for you. Again guys, go logos.com/andonal life.
