This is Undaunted Life, a man's podcast.
1:24
I'm your host Kyle Thompson.
1:26
Let's get into it.
1:27
And God said, "Let us make man in our image after our likeness, and let them have dominion
1:32
over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and
1:35
over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
1:38
That's Genesis 1.26.
1:39
Alright, guys.
1:40
So, don't normally release on Wednesdays, but this is a special bonus episode for you
1:45
guys today.
1:46
And I've got to tell you, I've been waiting on, and I feel like preparing for this date
1:49
for a very, very long time, but we need to back up just a little bit.
1:54
So the very first thing that I ever did under the Undaunted Life name, under the Undaunted
1:59
Life banner, was that I wrote a devotional for the U version Bible app, and that was
2:02
back in 2016.
2:03
And so that's the year we started Undaunted Life, and that was the first thing I ever
2:07
produced.
2:08
A lot of you probably already heard this story, like Undaunted Life was supposed to be like
2:11
an excursion-based ministry, but then I was like, "Well, all the men's devotionals, all
2:15
the quote-unquote men's devotionals on the U version app kind of suck.
2:18
They challenged me to go and write one, and I never thought that I'd write a devotional,
2:22
but I did, and then I never thought that they would accept the devotional and put it on
2:25
their app.
2:26
But they did."
2:27
And then I thought no one would ever read it, but within a few months of it being posted
2:31
on the app, it was the second most read men's devotional on the entire app, only behind
2:35
Craig Rochelle's.
2:36
And he's the lead pastor of the church that invented the app, so he gets, you know, primary
2:40
placement and marketing, all that kind of stuff.
2:42
And so that gave me a hint that the way that I talk about Christianity as it pertains to
2:47
men and manhood and masculinity, that that was not only accepted by the marketplace of
2:52
ideas, but that it was popular and that it was unique enough, and it was a unique enough
2:58
way of delivering the material that the ideas were landing with you guys in kind of a unique
3:02
way.
3:03
Then we go to 2017, U version wanted me to write a follow-up, you know, another devotional,
3:08
but I really didn't want to write again.
3:10
Like I'm good at writing, but I just don't enjoy the process very much.
3:12
It's kind of laborious for me and my brain.
3:14
I like to put bullet points down on a sheet of paper and then just talk my way through
3:18
them.
3:19
So that is better done in the context of a podcast.
3:20
So in 2017, I launched the show that you guys are listening to right now, Undaunted Life
3:25
of Man's podcast.
3:26
Now, I started out recording the show guys with a $50 microphone that I bought off Amazon
3:30
and I was recording in a coat closet in my house, right?
3:34
And I never really thought that many people would listen to or even find the show, but
3:39
I dedicated myself to work as unto the Lord from day one, regardless of if the show ever
3:43
took off or really got off the ground at all.
3:45
So every week year after a year, I released episodes, lots of solo episodes to start out
3:50
and then I started doing interviews with episode 100 and we've since done hundreds more interviews
3:55
and a whole bunch more of solo episodes and things like that.
3:58
But even with the show going and growing and all those types of things, I felt like something
4:01
was missing for me and for my audience.
4:04
And that was a manly Bible study, right?
4:07
So that led us to launch the forging table at the beginning of 2023.
4:12
And the idea essentially was, I wonder what it would look like if we just got four regular
4:16
dudes, like not professional Christians, not pastors, not people with theology degrees,
4:20
just four regular dudes around a table and started working our way through the Bible,
4:25
one book at a time, one chapter at a time, one hour at a time.
4:29
And we've since done that and we will as I've said before, like we will continue to do that.
4:34
Even if I stopped doing interviews and solo episodes, the forging table would just continue.
4:38
It'll never cease to exist.
4:40
And by the end of 2023, something amazing happened for us here, our show became the number two
4:45
show in the religion and spirituality category and it was also in the top 150 of all podcasts
4:53
in all categories.
4:54
So at the time, the numbers are somewhere between five and a half and six million shows
4:59
and we were in the top 150 and number two in our category.
5:03
And what's kind of weird about that, it took me months to really put two and two together.
5:08
But at that moment, we became the number one podcast show in the world specifically made
5:14
for Christian men.
5:16
There are Christian men that obviously consume other podcasts, but a show that is explicitly
5:20
created and targeted at Christian men, which is 90, 95% of our audience.
5:25
We are the number one show in the world.
5:27
And so those have been up to this point, the most important really cornerstone moments in
5:32
the history of Undaunted Life.
5:33
So 2016, Undaunted Life launches and we ride our first devotional 2017.
5:38
We launched Undaunted Life of Man's podcast and then 2023, a banner year, we started the
5:42
forging table and then became the number one podcast for Christian men.
5:47
But even with all that, something has just been missing, something has just been a little
5:52
bit off and I've had kind of this nagging feeling that's just kind of come up, you know, here
5:57
and there over the years.
5:59
So guys, since we launched Undaunted Life in 2016, and I mean this literally, okay, we
6:04
have literally had thousands of interactions, me personally, I've had thousands of interactions
6:09
with men all over the globe.
6:11
And this could be in person, this could be in my DM's guys that, you know, send us an
6:15
email, whatever.
6:16
And I would get the same comments, the same concerns, and these just kept coming up over
6:22
and over and over again.
6:24
And so they were, you know, just kind of along the lines of, you know, I know I need more
6:28
of God's guidance in my life, but I have no idea where to start, or I used to be able
6:33
to focus and get things done, but I've lost my mojo, you know, I know I'm not working
6:38
out like I should be, but you know, I'm really busy.
6:41
And then you got guys are just like, you know, I don't have any guys that I can really count
6:44
on.
6:45
And I guess that's just the way it's got to be and the way it is.
6:48
There are guys that are like, I just feel like I'm constantly letting my wife and kids
6:51
down.
6:52
And I don't know how to fix it.
6:54
Guys that are like, I can't find a man-friendly church in my area, so I just stay home unless
6:58
you can tell me where one is in my town.
7:01
The guys that are like, I'm so sick and tired of the darkness and the privity that's all
7:04
around me, but I don't know the best way to fight back against it.
7:08
And then, you know, Kyle's, hey, Kyle, I've read your devotionals.
7:11
You know, I've listened to all your podcast episodes.
7:13
I've listened to every interview that you've ever done on another show, but I want more.
7:19
Those comments just kept coming, Kyle, what else do you got?
7:23
What's the next thing?
7:25
And it seemed like the requests were not like, hey, can we get a fourth episode per week?
7:30
Or can you launch another devotional?
7:32
It seemed like guys wanted something more.
7:35
Well, today is the day where we start delivering on more and we start delivering that more.
7:43
Guys, I'm getting in the trenches with you.
7:45
So I feel like we need to drumroll somewhere, but allow me publicly, guys, for the very
7:50
first time to introduce all of you to our new program called Dominion, Dominion.
7:57
So you're a guy, you're struggling in one or many, several of the ways that I described
8:03
earlier, you're struggling with spiritual, mental and physical resilience.
8:07
You have no one in your foxhole.
8:09
You know you're missing the mark, but for whatever reason, you can't fix it or you're
8:12
just not fixing it for some reason.
8:14
So I created the Dominion program, which provides a plan to address those issues, helps you
8:20
create community, and then actually calls you to action.
8:23
And here's the deal, guys.
8:24
If you choose our path and really sees the process that we're laying out with the Dominion
8:28
program, your overall godly manliness will go up considerably and you will take dominion
8:34
over the world around you, you know, hence the name of the program.
8:38
And guys, you know the drill.
8:39
If you don't do something like this, if you don't kick yourself into gear, you likely
8:43
will stay stuck in neutral and you'll stay in this, you know, perpetual state of malaise,
8:48
which will certainly lead to regret and bitterness later.
8:51
And we don't want that for you.
8:53
So the reason we're launching Dominion publicly is because I actually launched this program
9:00
privately earlier this year because I just couldn't get the idea out of my head and it
9:06
just kept coming up and kept coming up and I kept getting comments and stuff from you
9:09
guys and like, okay, I just need to launch this, but I don't want to like launch it to
9:13
my entire audience because, you know, what if it doesn't work or what if we don't really
9:16
get it figured out?
9:17
What if I suck at it?
9:18
You know, whatever the thing was.
9:19
But I wanted to test to see if the concept would work.
9:22
If we could create a community of like-minded dudes that were actually serious about leveling
9:28
up, not just talking about it, but actually serious about it.
9:31
So about forging spiritual mental and physical resilience about pushing back darkness.
9:36
So I currently have 11 men from all across the United States.
9:40
I mean, we're literally talking from Alaska to Florida that are going through the Dominion
9:43
program right now.
9:45
These guys are team one.
9:46
You guys know who you are.
9:48
And I actually want you to hear from a few of these guys because I was asking them, you
9:51
know, like, what do you think about this program?
9:53
Like, as we launch and get into, you know, future teams, like, what would you want people
9:57
to hear?
9:58
And so I'll let you hear from Brad, who's a 40 year old substation tech.
10:01
I was tired of sitting on the sidelines.
10:03
So when I got the opportunity to level my game up as a man, I jumped.
10:08
Dominion has helped me in all areas of Christian manhood and pushing back darkness.
10:11
If you feel stuck, this is the program you need.
10:15
Let's hear from Bryce is a 34 year old contractor.
10:18
I've been able to hone the traits needed to be a solid husband and father while being
10:22
encouraged and pushed by like-minded men who are seeking to push back darkness and their
10:27
respective spheres of influence.
10:28
I highly recommend this program.
10:30
And then I'll let you hear from James.
10:31
He's a 53 year old retired Air Force colonel.
10:35
One connected me with other men nationwide who wanted to push back darkness.
10:38
And these connections have emboldened me and driven me because I know that I am in good
10:43
company in my Christian walk and guys, we got quotes from all these other guys, but I just
10:47
thought that kind of gave you a good cross section, the types of guys that we've got
10:51
in this first group.
10:52
And as far as this first group goes, it's gone incredibly well, like insanely well with
10:59
this private group of guys.
11:00
And we've had such positive results.
11:03
And I talked to the guys like, what do you think?
11:05
How could this go from there?
11:06
Because I told these team one guys like, y'all are going to help me figure out if this is
11:09
even a thing that we should release to a wider audience.
11:12
And so we have decided and I've ultimately decided that we are going to open this up
11:15
to the world.
11:16
So starting in January of 2025, guys, right around the corner here, just a few weeks,
11:22
we will be launching team two of Dominion.
11:25
So pay close attention.
11:27
If this sounds interesting to you, you're probably still listening to this right now.
11:30
Whatever the details I need to take you through here are the details that you need if you
11:33
want into this.
11:34
Okay.
11:35
So today, if you're listening to this on time as of this morning, this is Wednesday, December
11:39
the 4th, 2024 applications for team two have opened on our website.
11:45
So the link will be in the show notes.
11:46
You guys can just check that out in the show notes wherever you're listening to this, but
11:49
the link or you can just go to the link, undaunted dot life backslash or whatever forward slash
11:53
back slash just slash undaunted dot life slash Dominion undaunted dot life slash Dominion.
12:00
So this is not a very long application, but it does help me get an idea of kind of where
12:04
you are at currently in your life, who you are, and why this program would potentially
12:08
be a fit for you.
12:10
So if we like your application, you will get an interview for the program.
12:14
And I will tell you as well, the applications are going to be reviewed and interviews will
12:18
be set on a first come first serve basis.
12:20
Okay, so I'm literally going to go to the very top of the list, the first person that
12:24
submitted an application, and that's where I'm starting my review.
12:27
I'm not batching it and, you know, moving around random or, you know, sorting it in alphabetical
12:31
order.
12:32
I'm going to the first person that put an application in and going down from there.
12:35
So guys, if you want to be in on this program, do not wait to put your application in, okay,
12:40
because I'm only taking a very, very small number of guys for team two.
12:44
In the future, we will continue to communicate with you guys about larger groups that are
12:48
being taken at one time, but I'm taking one team.
12:52
So it's a very, very small number of people, okay, the deadline, okay, so it's open now.
12:56
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, December the 10th.
12:59
So that's next Tuesday, guys, if you're listening to this on time Tuesday, December the 10th
13:03
at 5 p.m. central standard time again, the applications will close, you will not be able
13:08
to submit an application, you'll just have to go into our wait list when the deadline
13:12
comes for Tuesday, December the 10th at 5 p.m. central standard time, but don't wait until
13:15
that time, I can almost guarantee you that we're gonna be finding the guys for team two
13:19
well before then.
13:20
So some of you at this point might be asking, why do we need to fill out an application
13:25
for this program?
13:27
Why do we need to be ready?
13:29
Because as part of the application, it says that you need to be willing and ready to invest
13:34
time, effort and capital into this, a significant amount of those three things.
13:39
So why do we need to fill out an application?
13:40
Why do we need to be ready and willing to give a significant investment of time, effort
13:43
and capital?
13:45
So that's the main question because for a lot of guys, it's just like, oh, just send
13:48
me to the website and I'll buy the book and then I'll just work on work through it and
13:51
blah, blah, blah.
13:52
Or hey, shouldn't this thing be free if you really wanted to get all the people in the
13:55
world to do it?
13:56
But here's the, here's the deal.
13:58
I'm looking for killers, okay?
14:01
I'm looking for dogs, like I'm looking for dudes that are for real.
14:06
I'm not looking for guys that are going to be like, yeah, you know, sounds like a pretty
14:09
good thing.
14:10
You know, I might get around to it.
14:11
I mean, you know, we'll see like those aren't the guys that I'm looking for.
14:15
And I'm not looking to launch just some free program because you guys know what you do
14:17
with free.
14:18
You treat free like it's free.
14:19
Right?
14:20
You treat like a rental car.
14:21
But when you pay for something that requires something of you, you know, almost emotionally,
14:27
but really you're giving your time and your effort to a program, you know how much different
14:30
it's going to be for you.
14:31
Guys, this is a very exclusive program and unapologetically slow.
14:35
So it's very, very exclusive.
14:38
So I'm looking for a small number of dudes for team two that are willing to work their
14:41
way to becoming elite.
14:43
So if you can't fill out a short application and, you know, dedicate yourself to invest
14:47
the time and the effort and the capital, then no big deal.
14:50
Like Dominion just isn't the program for you.
14:53
But when I find these dudes, as soon as we get together, we're sprinting like we're
14:57
going to absolutely sprint.
15:00
But for those of you that do get into team two, and I'm so psyched to like meet you guys
15:05
and to get this team formulated, okay, especially since we're having such good luck with team
15:08
one.
15:09
For those of you that do get into team two or onto one of our future teams, I can guarantee
15:13
you this.
15:14
You will get results.
15:16
You will become the godly man, husband, father that you've always dreamed of being.
15:22
And you will take Dominion.
15:24
I promise you that.
15:25
So guys, if you want more information, go to undaunted dot life slash dominion.
15:29
Again, that is in the show notes, undaunted dot life slash dominion.
15:33
You can also just get there through our website.
15:34
So if you can get to our website, go there, you can find it.
15:37
You can go ahead and apply.
15:38
And telling you guys, do not wait, this program will fill up.
15:42
I'm getting in the trenches with you.
15:44
It's time to get after it.
15:45
That's the only thing where I'm going to do a quick resilience boost today.
15:48
Just go there.
15:49
Go to the application submit one today.
