Let's be honest, most men drift. We wake up, we scroll, we work, and then we just rinse and repeat. And we know we're softer than we should be. That's why I built the 31-day resilience reset. This is not a devotional. It is a field manual for men ready to stop drifting and start fighting back. So, for 31 days, you'll train your spirit, mind, and body with scripture, prayer, and daily challenges that forge real resilience. Go to www.undaunted.life/31. life/31day to download this resource for free. That's undaunted.life/31day. Start your reset today. This is Undaunted Life a man's podcast. I'm your host, Kyle Thompson. Let's get into it. All right, guys. We got a special guest on the podcast today. His name is Ernie Calling. He's a United States Army veteran. And the cool thing about his life is not only did he serve in the army, he was an infantryman, but because of what he did as, you know, an enlisted guy, but also on the contracting side, he experienced a lot of problems with his body, as a lot of people in our military have. And so, a lot of wear and tear, a lot of inflammation, and so he was trying to find some relief from it. And he found that through peptides. And so, he got into the peptide world, and then he just stayed in it. And now he is the CEO of a company called Victrix. And so on this podcast today, we're trying to just educate you, okay? What are peptides? What's the truth about how they should be used? Who should be on them? What are the common kinds? Because right now, everywhere you turn, someone's talking about peptides, right? And then you I mean, you got soccer moms talking about them and selling them, and then you're like, "Wait a minute." Like, there's injectable peptides, there's, you know, ones that come in powder form, there's capsules, there's all kinds of different things. And there's so much misinformation and really disinformation out there about peptides. So, we're trying to just set the record clear. You know, what are they? How do they work inside the body? I give them some scenarios of some different types of people, guys that I've been asked, you know, guys in my audience that have asked me about peptides, and I'm like, "Okay, I know your situation, but I don't know what to tell you cuz I'm not an expert at this." And he really just gives us a fly over. We don't get super technical on this podcast today, but we just talk about what they are, how they can be used responsibly. You can't turn yourself into a mutant. This isn't like taking anabolic steroids or some crazy HGH or something like that. It's just very, very different. And also, you'll be hearing a lot about Vicri's wellness here in the next few months and really uh adding an item because this year was a a very important year for me after my uh bicep rupture of like, oh crap, I've I'm turning 40 this year. My bicep just ruptured. I have to have a major surgery. I've got to be on something that's going to help me heal. And so I ended up finding after, you know, going a bunch of different pathways, finding Victrix Wellness. And we're actually doing a a deal with them to where if you are an undaunted life listener and you go to victricwellness.com/coaching that's vicwwellness.com/coaching they will know that I sent you and you can have a free conciier consultation to figure out okay what are you on now what do you potentially need to be on are you even a good candidate for peptides all those kinds of things. So guys, you can check that out in the show notes. But really today, even out outside of that, because if you want to, you know, partner with them on your own personal wellness and you want to have a coach that's kind of helping you through it, they're going to be a great resource for you. But even if not, you got to know what peptides are because the market for them, especially in the last 5 years, has absolutely exploded. And so I don't want you to have bad information. I don't want you, you know, buying crazy supplements off of some random Russian website or something like that. If you're going to get get into this world, I want you to do it responsibly. I want you to know the differences between the things that you might be putting into your body so that you can be safe and also so that you can optimize. So guys, I really enjoyed my time with Ernie today. So without further ado, let's get into it. Ernie calling, welcome to Undaunted Life of Man's podcast. >> Thank you. Thank you for having me. >> So you're going to be on the show today mainly to learn us all up on some things because there's been a lot of confusion about an area that you happen to be an expert on. And so we'll get there in just a second. But anytime I run into somebody that is a veteran, uh I always like to first of all say thank you because I've never raised my hand and said I would protect this country from enemies foreign and domestic. So I can do a job like this screaming into a microphone because guys like you and the people you served with that did the job that you did. But so I guess just for you, how did you get in to the military? Like what was your route? Kind of what did you do there? Because as I understand the whole world that we're going to be talking about today with peptides and personal wellness, it really stemmed from you know your all the year years and all the miles you put on that body. >> Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. So I was a I was an infantryman. That was a wise decision for a young man uh especially in uh 2000 uh and the subsequent events that happened later. But um no, I did an enlistment military infantry and then uh I ended up contracting as a civilian uh for a couple of the intelligence agencies and doing multiple overseas deployments and uh you know put a lot of wear and tear in myself on that way as well. And it was a little over a decade of that uh going back and forth that um you know I had finally seen enough wear and tear in my body that I was looking for opportunity anything to to feel better um to not have the inflammation, the hurt, the just everything kind of was not right. And um you know when I would go to a a physician and I would I would speak to them about the things it was oh more moerin more rest more these things and I was doing those and I was trying not to be too cynical of it and I understood that wear and tear meant there was going to be wear and tear but it still felt too much. Um, and when I did find peptides through a friend of mine, it was a whole longer process. But when I ended up starting to utilize them night and day and uh once I felt that for myself, I knew it was time to start looking at how I could integrate that not only into my life, but to do something bigger with it. >> Okay. So, I know a lot of guys because I've seen different iterations of this, Ernie. like, you know, in middle school and high school, guys would discover these supplements that were kind of like cuz you could walk into like a GNC and buy by basically anabolics, right? Like it was just it was crazy. It was the wild west there for a while and I mean I had one friend uh John, good buddy of mine in high school. He took some stuff, got real big real fast, and then as he was coming off of it, they thought his heart was going to explode. Like he had some serious health issues. And so I I've kind of grown up around that, just being in the exercise world and now being in the jiu-jitsu world for the last decade. But so it's one thing to kind of experiment around the edges, take a little bit of this, try this program, try this diet, and kind of pop around, but that just wasn't really enough for you. You went kind of full boore into this peptide side of things. And I'm kind of getting ahead of myself a little bit because people hear about peptides today. No matter where you turn, you're hearing peptides, peptides, this, that, you got to take this, got to take that. >> Most people don't know what a peptide is. What are peptides? So, let's start there. >> So, uh, a peptide is a chain of amino acids. So, it's literally aminos that have been um put into a sequence or a chain uh in order to have it produce a result. And the result is a signaler. So, when you inject a peptide, those chains of aminos um it's going to go into the body and it's going to signal the cells that is intended to interact with to perform whatever function. So if it's like matzi which is intended to increase your energy there's a signal that's sent out to the mitochondria in the cells that tells it to um be more active you know if it's something that is like a GHPR or a growth hormone producing peptide such as epramuralin or tesarellin um what it's going to be doing is it's going to be signaling to the pituitary gland to you know uh produce growth hormone naturally um well through that signal or to release it or both depending on you know how it's being utilized. So there's they're very uh complex, they're very specific and that's the intent behind a peptide is intention. Um so the idea isn't that it's doing something unnatural. It's that a natural compound was engineered to be a signal in a specific way to the body to get it to react in that desired effect. Okay, that that's incredibly helpful because again for a lot of people they they think peptides equal steroids. I mean I remember we had people we as a joke we did got them right here these like smelling salts. We did them on one of the shows and people were like why are y'all taking drugs on the show? I'm like it it's literally like it's like ammonia. Like that's basically that that's all we're doing. But like I mean Ernie I would say five years ago maybe peptides were seemingly like this kind of like shadowy thing. Like it was black market. you go to like swole rhino.com and you're like getting these experimental things sent to you from Russia or China, but now they're mainstream soccer moms are are taking uh peptides because it has this benefit or that benefit. And I'm I'm struggling and I mentioned this off air. You have so many people that are like vaccine hesitant and from 2020 we have good reason to be certainly that way about some vaccines, but across the board they're vaccine hesitant. But they will inject stuff they don't even know how to spell. Something they can't even tell you what it's doing inside their body. They'll just, you know, [snorts] shove it into their bodies every single day. So when did this like crest and go over the hill where peptides became this mainstream thing? So uh obviously I've been in the peptide business for a minute but uh I started transcend back in 2020 uh my wife and I and you know we saw the opportunity with covid and going to tele medicine and I had experience with some people in social media so it made sense and it worked really well and the one thing that I think made it work well and it started to impact that industry and open it up for others one was the use of social media But the way it was used was educational and testimonial. So people that were respected by their followers were speaking to people saying, "Hey, if you use these items in this way responsibly, then you're going to have benefit and you're going to see benefit." And I think because of COVID and the time that was going on in our country specifically, there was amount of distrust in the uh medical system at that time, you know, uh specifically. and anybody that didn't uh want a vaccine or didn't believe in necessarily everything they were seeing or hearing or were curious were starting to hear about peptides especially through that social media push and the way that uh I always have approached it and will continue uh is to be an advocate for our clients to have a a a client advocate a coach somebody who's not a a medically trained person, but somebody who's very well trained, knowledgeable about peptides, kinesiology, uh, health in general. And that's to take that white coat syndrome away and to give you a partner, a person you can talk to at your level that's going to understand how you work, interact, and that how peptides could potentially work with you in your life and give you options and opportunities in that explanation. So, simply what we're doing right here is what I believe in doing with anybody that would be interested in it. Well, and that's why I partnered with you guys and we're going to talk, you know, more about Victrix uh towards the end of this episode because it's there are so many people like I remember when I first heard about peptides, some of my buddies were taking them and I literally I wasn't kidding. I think the website was swollino.com and I'm like, "Guys, what this around the same time they found out about like keto diet and so they're basically putting like a fistful of butter in their coffee and they're injecting crap into their bodies." I'm like, I I don't want any part of this. But part of the the the skittishness of a lot of people is one that they don't understand it, but Ernie, it's also it's not FDA approved. I mean, come on, guys. We have to trust the FDA that they're definitely not going to approve things that are harmful for us and they're they're always going to keep us as as the enduser safe, right? And so, we just get this it's a it's a derivative of white coat syndrome, which you mentioned a second ago. It's, you know, a basically a a tacit assumption that the government would approve this if it were beneficial for me. So, I guess in general, and I know this is a huge topic that we could spend the rest of our time on, but why are peptides in general not approved by the FDA? >> Well, the amount of resource it would take in order to have that process completed is um astronomical. Um when it comes to pharmaceuticals in general, the cost to bring it to the market is usually um put onto the manufacturer. So the >> astonishingly high amount >> the millions and years, right? So who's going to put that kind of effort into a drug, right? And then it comes down into the um yield and its return on the investment for something so significant to bring to market. Um why would you want to bring something that's so good that it could potentially cure the the revenue? That's that's not something that the big farmer would want to cure. And I'm not saying that to be a conspiracist or anything like that. I'm saying it as a business person. Um even on the uh peptide side um you know we kind of joked around with you know oh god you know should we give them this dose or this dose kind of kidding you know lengthen the amount of time on the protocol which we didn't do. >> Um but the whole point being is you know understanding that these things actually work really really really well. So, um I think the amount of effort it would take uh for the return on investment um really just wasn't in their interest. >> Well, I think as well there are a lot of misconceptions about the peptide world because like you know I you know I was in it a little bit here and there with some small injuries, but earlier this year I got in it in earnest because I ruptured my bicep. And so with a major injury like that, a major surgery, where I was at kind of in my athletic life, you know, about to turn 40, I I'm 40 now, you know, knocking on the door, black belt in jiu-jitsu, like still lifting heavy and still wanting to be strong for everyday life. I was like, man, I know some guys that got a ruptured bicep and they were just never the same. And so I went kind of full boore into it. And one of the first things you run into, Ernie, is there are a lot of misconceptions about what peptides do and what they don't do. uh a lot of people don't really even understand the difference between pharmaceutical grade peptides and research use peptides. And then even inside of research use peptides or rueptides, there's all kinds of different variations of how people even structure the the testing of of the purity and all the different things. And so if you could because I know you've heard a lot of of these things and you've dealt a lot with it and today we're we're trying to you know pull the top off and get the truth about peptides here. what are some of the biggest misconceptions like you know difference between pharmaceutical grade research use like talk about some of that stuff. So, I'll I'll try as high level as I can without getting too uh overly technical, but at the end of the day, it came down to the mass um manufacturing of a peptide or an API um pharmaceutical ingredient. Um it's usually manufactured overseas and for the longest time what it was done, it was manufactured into a crude process. So you had um these amino acids and then you had resins and they were put into a synthesizer then put through this process in order to create this new peptide amino chain and then that would have been um made into a liquid essentially and they would have lifelized that freeze-dried that into a powder and then that freeze-dried powder it's imported to the United States. Um, at that point in time, you know, there's a purity test that would get done and it really would depend if you were importing the crude or or the finished product. And really up until about mid 2022, it was mostly crude that was coming in. The industry changed when the amount of uh uh popularity of peptides increased and you know greatly uh the demand increased. Then it got to the point where that process became too much because demand couldn't be filled in the United States because you would get this lifelized powder. Um it have to be sound for testing or you would have to um reconstitute it, filter it, reifalize it, then test it if you were at a compounding facility and then get the purity of that or ecoa certificate of au authenticy. And then um at that point you would batch it and it would become available for use. Um so it was a big process took a long time cost a lot of money. Um it would be a lot simpler and end up being simpler to just finish the product uh overseas lialize it and send it to the United States ready to go. And that's what's basically been happening. But then there's a legal issue because of compounding the medication. You can't simply just put the finished product in a vial and then send it out and call that compounding. There has to be an actual compounding to it. So, you're starting to see lifelization product um reconstituted before being shipped, which is ironic because uh right up until that had changed, we always looked for the lifealized product because you didn't have to ship it cold. It was more stable. It lasted longer. Um there were a lot of advantages to it. um once it's been reconstituted, it's going to be less stable. It's got to be refrigerated in most cases, not all. Um so there's some other uh complexities to it. But the biggest difference between a crude product and a um pharmaceutical product is if it's been refined past the crude into that final product. And you know, pretty much everything now these days is right there. Hey guys, real quick. You may have noticed a lot of companies out there that are advertising and marketing that they're American companies, but guess what guys? All of their manufacturing and all of their jobs are overseas, right? These companies are manufacturing overseas in order to increase their profit margins, but they're allowing globalism to put America and Americans behind. And I've been wanting to partner with an American company with really all across the board, American companies that prioritize American workers, their families, and keep their word. And guys, I have been working with this company for so long. We're going on, I think, four or five years now. That's why I want to remind you that we are partnered with Origin. Origin is an apparel company based in Maine. And what do they make? They make, guys, literally the best jiu-jitsu geese on the planet. And they are the only jiu-jitsu geese that are made completely in America with all American products and completely with American hands. And I use the Rift 2.0 and the Nano Pearl geese exclusively. Now, they also make jeans. That is their bestseller. They have very, very awesome stretchy jeans, and they also have work jeans and bootcut jeans. They make amazing hunting and outdoor gear. They offer handmade leather boots to include steeltoe boots. My personal favorites are the Whiskey Main mocktoe boots in a natural wedge sole. I wear those around all the time. And they also make great workout clothes. They have everyday pants and shirts. They're getting more into kind of men's casual stuff. They have indestructible hoodies. They're launching new apparel all the time. It's just an amazing, amazing company. So guys, if you haven't already, you need to check them out and support a company that supports Americans. Try Origin out today by going to origusa.com. That's originusa.com. Use the promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order. Again, that's originus.com. Promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order. And I think the the quality control, there's a pretty good indication on some of these gray market websites, right? So they have AI build them this beautiful website but then there's nowhere where you can find any data on purity testing in terms of how all that looks. Um one one question that I've had u is well what are the most common peptides? And I guess the other side of that is how do we know they're working? And so I get asked about this because people are very interested in my bicep recovery. Like I have a lot of people asking me about it, you know, and and so they're kind of watching me along, you know, from baby arm to like, you know, teenager arm, which is what I'm dealing with right now. And so, um, some people are like, "Are the peptides working?" Right? Because I've been on, uh, BPC57 and TB500. That's called the Wolverine stack or Wolverine protocol. >> And I I struggle to answer that question because I don't have a parallel universe where I have the same injury, same surgery, do the same physical therapy, and don't take the peptides. And so uh but there are some peptides out there that are very popular where the difference in look or feel or whatever is stark. Performance is stark. Sleep is very stark. And so what are the most common peptides that people use? And then how can we know for sure that they're working and we're not just, you know, injecting a lot of money into our body that we're just filtering out? >> Well, first thing, um find somewhere reputable. And you know, you can find that through review. You can find that through a referral. Um, you can find that online from, you know, influencers you've worked with in the past and trusted. There's a there's a lot of companies out there doing peptides. But first thing, find a a reputable company and a reputable source. Um, and I would encourage everybody to do their blood work so you would have a baseline regardless. And I would want to look at hormone panels as well as organ function, your your standard blood count, all those things. And most of the organizations that are doing peptide, especially if they're concier should offer that or have a partner with it where you could do it at a reasonable cost. Um, you look at those blood markers and then um when you do select your protocol and and you're following it, you know, you're going to need to go back blood work and you can see if those markers are changing, improving. Um, but in addition to that, you really should know if you feel different. If you're not feeling any different, then regardless, it's not necessarily helping. Um, the way we look at that to make sure it's not a dosage issue versus just not working with that person is back to the blood work, right? If we see the numbers are improving, but they're not feeling as well as we would hope, well, then we can either change a dose or try a different peptide medication and then, you know, we can go from there. And usually we're able to dial people in. um if it's just not working where the numbers aren't moving like we would hope then either we try a different peptide or it might not be for them. Um but the best way to find that out is you know just monitor how you feel. Uh and then make sure you get baseline blood work. Make sure you follow up on it. Uh make sure you have good knowledge and a good source. >> Yeah, I love that because that's part of the thing is if you're if you don't really have your blood work, you are flying blind. And so there are a lot of great places out there and make sure you're getting an extensive amount of blood work, not just the basics cuz you want to look at things cuz like for instance, um, every time I get my blood work done, there are two things that are completely off the charts. Creatinin and anything to do with cholesterol and everyone's like, "Oh my, like when you look at my cholesterol levels, like whatever high is, I'm beyond that on all the different four or five different categories." Well, when you go to a reputable wellness person, and I've done that with, you know, a white coat person and a non-white coat person, they're like specifically, there was a doctor I went to, he goes, "Kyle, you are two standards of deviation better than most everyone I see in this office. These numbers don't bother me at all." Like, cholesterol is not the boogeyman that, you know, most people in the medical industry because obviously they want they want you on a statin so they can keep you on a statin, right? And they're not going to, you know, address any of your lifestyle issues. So, it's like, "Go get a plaque test, make sure your heart's not, you know, clogged up or whatever." Of course, it wasn't. So, he's like, "Yeah, I don't care." But otherwise, if you look at results like that, then you're going to like freak out and do something you don't need to do, like get on a pharmaceutical regimen or something like that. But I Yeah, go ahead. Hop in. >> Well, when you have high cholesterol, you know, it's a baseline for hormone creation, right? That's fuel. And that could be because you have a a healthy endocrine system or a high active endocrine system because you're active in a healthy male. It doesn't have anything to do with necessarily [clears throat] being um unhealthy in your eating or uh hereditary styles, you know, or backgrounds. So, if I was your doc and I saw that, which I'm not, and would never claim to be one, um I would have agreed. Yeah. Same thing. You know, if if your numbers aren't reflective of how you feel, there's a reason for it. >> Yeah. And some sometimes you can feel good and then the plumbing's all jacked up. And so that's again, you make sure you're doing stuff with a with a good coach, someone that's really holding your hand, make sure you got the blood work, everything else. But I've also been asked, there are a lot of people, so for me personally, like >> exogenous testosterone has always been one of those things where I'm like, I don't want to go anywhere near that stuff. Uh, but I mean, we're not talking about testosterone today, but part of the reason why I don't want to go near exogenous testosterone right now is because your body to a degree will get used to the to the synthetic testosterone, exogenous testosterone put into the body. And then if you get off of it, a lot of people that get off of it have major health issues because their body no longer knows how to produce testosterone on its own. The endocrine system has been absolutely crushed. And there are other things. A lot of people from the military endocrine systems have been crushed uh because of you know traumatic brain injuries or just like you know all kinds of different things. So there's a lot of different ways I'm looking at it. >> Do peptides work the same way where if you're on a certain peptide for a long period of time and then you get off all of a sudden your body's just completely out of whack and messed up. >> It depends and I hate giving that answer but it really does because there's lots of different peptides. They do a lot of different things and it would almost be impossible to cover every piece of that. I will say that there peptides that are for a specific use like we talked about the Wolverine stack where it's for, you know, healing. Well, when you are healed, then you are not going to unheal, right? So, it it's not a peptide that you would need to continue to take in order to optimize that injury. Once you're at back to 100%, that's, you know, where you're at with it. if it's something like a a weight loss or a GHPR, if it's going to um mess with your hormones or mess with your um uh blood sugars and those things, then yeah, there's the potential for a rebound of any kind. Um but it really depends again on how they're being utilized, they're being utilized for. Um there's a lot of different factors. I would say that the benefits of the peptides are far outweigh any of the potential negativities. Um, with peptides specifically, uh, anything that you would see would regress, um, I would say slightly versus something that would be something that would revert and go back the other way. Like I I don't um I haven't never heard of the peptide harming some somebody into a sign like in the same way that a testosterone or another uh bio identical had um with something that is a peptide. >> Well, and one thing that I've seen as well which I don't really I have no experience or have not seen this in the peptide world and you would certainly know more than me. You have guys that will start chasing something. So they'll get on some sort of exogenous testosterone, some sort of an anabolic, an HGH, you know, something like that. And then it creates another issue and it's just like what we see in the pharmaceutical world. So you get on one pharmaceutical drug, well that jacks up this part of your system, and then they have a drug that will react with that and then you just start chasing the rabbit uh to to wherever the next problem comes up. And so you have guys that are like, you know, injecting estrogen because they went too far with the anabolics and like you have all these other different problems and you just don't really see that with peptides because it's it's not really something, you know, everything in moderation, but it's not really something that you can abuse in a way like, you know, there's that crazy uh Russian guy on TikTok that takes like 10 times the amount of human growth hormone that is recommended for people. And yeah, he looks like a mutant. He's going to die by the age of 28, but you know, hey, he's going to he's going to have a lot of followers in the meantime. And so that also kind of goes to something that that we were, you know, talking about transitioning into your your new company, Victricx. There are a lot of consumers that are kind of moving out of the okay so there's this transition if I'm if I'm thinking about this correctly from okay you have the white coat people to where it's like if a doctor says it >> you know even though the doctor's fat even though the doctor is is unhealthy and even though their blood work is terrible let's let the doctor tell us what it what how we can be healthy and the nutrition we should have even though they only got >> two weeks of nutrition training and their 10 years of schooling whatever. So people are moving from the white coat side of things into more like broad teleaalth wellness which can encompass a lot of different things broad telealth wellness that whole world but then a lot of people are transitioning even out of that world Ernie into a more focused conciier wellness experience or program. Uh, you know, it kind of looks like Yeah, that's kind of looks like what y'all done with Victrix to where it's like okay >> if someone's still stuck in the the you the super white coat world. You know, Conciier's wellness is not going to make a whole lot of sense to them, but maybe they've been listening to Huberman and Peter Ailla and Joe Rogan for a while and and they're they're used to some of this. They've kind of done some of the broad teaalth wellness stuff and now they're wanting to be like, "Okay, I want something that's more focused and specific to me." Is that a fair way to describe kind of the transition we've seen a lot of people go through? Yeah, it's a very fair uh transition and I think the the biggest and most important pieces is having that advocate on the other side, that coach that understands these things and then the access and the cost. Um a lot of the um doctor clinic white coat, they're they're great. Um but there's an expense that goes along with it. It's very very high. Um, if you were working in more of a coaching type of environment, um, there's the medical piece of that that is that is removed. And like I said, I still very much a proponent of of the physician involvement and blood work and all those things. Uh I'm also still a proponent of those advocates and the ability to get a good level of education and understanding at a much lower cost that um brings access levels down and to a wider uh group of of men. And I think that um if we can do that, that's a great thing to do. >> Yeah. Again, I think a lot of people as well, uh, there's way too much, gosh, there's there's, and I've talked about this a lot this year, this crisis of discernment where people will see something on the internet and they're just like, well, it sounds true, so it must be true. You know, someone will present something that seems like evidence, but it isn't. And so, all of a sudden, you believe it because that person spoke with authority or they're spoke too fast for your brain to even compute, and you're like, well, that person is clearly smarter than me. But for for what you guys are doing with Victrix, there are a lot of other competitors, a lot of other people in this field and a lot of them do a tremendous amount of work uh you know this kind of online you know clinic based peptide world. So what's what's kind of the difference like if somebody goes through cuz I you know I said during the the intro that we have a relationship with you guys uh you know I've been looking for a partner in this whole peptide world for a while frankly because I get asked about it a lot and I I love to be able to point someone. So when someone's like what Bible should I get? I'm like okay this one. Hey, what pastor should I be listening to that one? Okay, what podcast, you know, what devotional should I be doing? But when I would get asked about peptide and recovery stuff, I had nothing because I just wasn't comfortable suggesting anyone to anybody. But I'm very comfortable with Victrix. But like, what does the experience look like as opposed to what they might do if they try to hodge podge it together themselves? >> Well, the first thing you're going to do is you're going to just provide your information and then we're going to reach out. We're going to make contact and you're going to talk to a human being and that person is going to walk you through essentially what a coaching relationship looks like uh what that would potentially cost and then you know what advantages come along with it. Essentially, it gives you the opportunity to get all the educational materials, education on peptides, um all the things we talked about with blood work, where, how, when, and then um you know what those peptides can do and how they can be utilized and then they can also facilitate the ability to obtain them as well. So, you know, all the things that you would need, they're right there. And with a lot of other competitors out there, they'll have an element, but maybe not all of the components. uh there's a lot of website ecomd driven things that are out there and they're just there or there's a lot of AI that is integrated into it and there's a time and place for that as well um but not uh not at the level that a lot of the those organizations are. they're trying to replace an element that you can't and that's the actual knowledge from a person that's going to understand um you know at an intimate level what this client needs, what they want, what they're trying to convey to me and I'm going to understand that you know emotionally, spiritually, intellectually and then be able to provide my knowledge on that subject to the best of my ability and give it to you. And now we have trust and rapport. It's not just a company anymore. I know the person on the other side of that phone and I've I'm there to give them feedback and that is constant and we don't charge extra for just communicating back and forth with your uh coach. >> Hey guys, real quick I just wanted to remind you that we have an official Undaunted Life store. You can go to shop.undaunted.life or check it out in the show notes. Guys, we're always going to have hats and shirts and a bunch of other awesome stuff. Go there, support us, wear the mission. Again, it's shop.uned.life. Check out the link in the show notes, shop.undaunted.life. >> And I think that's the other thing. It's it's the coaching aspect that is very different because again, I I coach people in certain areas, but I'm not going to coach someone in an area that I have no expertise in or no experience in. So, I want to throw out some different scenarios to you. And again, these are just generic John Doe type scenarios, but these are the kinds of guys that have come to me and I kind of know a little bit about their life or they tell me about their life and then they're like, "What would you suggest I do on the peptide roll?" And I was like, "Ah, I don't know." So, the first guy might sound familiar to the audience. He's a guy that may have just turned 40, highly active guy, athletic, does jiu-jitsu, lifts weights, major injury, just had surgery. Aside from that, healthy across the board, uh blood work looks good, you know, but as part of the surgery recovery regimen, what would you recommend to a guy like that? Again, we're not looking at blood work now, but assuming things are are all equal and and things aren't, you know, kind of crazy and unique, what would you suggest for a guy like that to do? >> I I mean, from a um functional perspective, uh the BPC 157, uh TB500 or KPV and potentially even uh GH KCU copper peptide. Uh and that depends more on the injury type and location, but those are all phenomenal. Um there's blends of those that are phenomenal. Um and then uh in addition to that, I would probably recommend uh test Morlin, which is the GHPR, but anytime where you're trying to heal the body, um you know, a GHPR is going to be well, and they're great for function in general and general health and longevity. So, I always recommend them. >> Okay. Now, let's go to a guy that's in his 50s. uh moderately low to moderate activity. Generally healthy, you know, maybe on a couple of prescription medications, nothing too insane, but a little bit overweight, a little bit soft, feel like they've lost a step, they feel pretty inflamed, not really sleeping well. You know, they're they just want to get healthier and feel better while keeping all four wheels on the road. They're running a business. They got a family. Like, they got crap to do. They can't be a pro alete or pretend to be one. So what are some things that that person would maybe look at? >> Well, yeah, definitely um KPV [clears throat] if it's inflammation. BPC157 again is for the inflammation. Um but I really would go with the GHPR at that point. I would probably do um CJC 1295 epimellin blend or testin. Uh test melanin is just my preference overall with my experience. um you know it seems to be the uh most active and bioavailable and with the responses I've seen in the other peptides professional experience has told me that test marlin seems to be superior um an opinion uh but that is a great one all around for longevity it's going to increase your metabolism it's going to help reset your circadian rhythm and your sleep and that's going to reduce inflammation and you know it's just going to overall improve your health so if I was looking for one overall all and I would say test Morland hands down. Um, if I were to be specific, I'd probably do a KPV, PPV, PPC, and then a test moral in that situation. >> All right, very good. Now, I'm around a lot of guys like this. So, let's say you're mid to late 20s, uh, maybe very early 30s, incredibly athletic, you know, elite athletic ability, maybe [clears throat] trying to do something professional athletically, maybe in jiu-jitsu or another sport. healthy across the board. Blood work looks good. You're young. You could basically eat concrete, not gain weight, but you just want to push your performance, your body to that next tier. You don't want to abuse anabolics. You don't want to start chasing stuff and buying stuff from the guy out behind the gold's gym, out of his trunk of his car. What about that person that's that's like, "Look, I'm I'm in the prime of my athletic life, and I want to literally squeeze every bit of performance out of this chassis. you know, it's going to be a very limited return on investment in that case because peptides are designed to make you feel as best as your body is going to be able to make you feel. They will optimize your health and put you in the the best um position you can be and it can hold you there, but it it can't bring you where you weren't going to be uh to begin with, right? It's not going to give you unnatural ability. Um, so if you're in your prime and you have no blood work issues, any like I'm going to be able to help you with inflammation and recovery so you can be out there longer and do it longer and have less um chance of an injury. So I'm going to look at those things that are going to help again your uh repair. Uh, and again that comes down to other GHPRs and things like that, but it would be very specific to um what kind of recovery I think they would need. Um, and the there's so many different ones out there. Uh, but again, it would be probably a combination. There's there's probably about eight to nine maybe 10 peptides that are very core um that we use. Um, so it's not very uncommon that it's this three combination in these different doses or this three, but it's these two plus one and the other one. Um, probably LR3, uh, IGF LR3 in that case. uh that would probably do the best for uh an improvement um which would be um like event specific. It would be something that would be like okay uh for the next uh 4 hours uh the halflife of this peptide uh my body will be at peak performance. [snorts] >> Yeah. And so the reason why I asked you about that scenario is and you use the right word. >> You you can't turn yourself into a mutant like on peptides like when when you see these guys on like you know strong doing strongman competitions or the enhanced games or you know Mr. Olympia or stuff like that these super unnatural athletes. You're not going to get to that using peptides. You have to use and abuse steroids. And last one I got to give a shout out to my 5enters. About 5% of our audience are females. 5enters I keep promising I'm going to get y'all patches. we got to figure out something. But let's say you're a gal that's in her 30s or 40s. You know, you've had a few kids and your body just doesn't feel the same. Uh you just want to feel better. Uh you know, sometimes around that age, you're having some negative consequences of some hormonal imbalances. And there's a lot of people that would love to give input on how to jack those hormones this way or that way. And oh well, you know, what is it? 1/4 of all moms in America are on some form of SSRI and we don't even know exactly what those things do. It's one of the most nefarious, pernicious things I think in all of modern life and no one's freaking talking about it. She just wants her skin and hair to look better. She wants to feel better and have more energy for her kids. For a gal like that, blood work looks pretty good, mildly active. What would you let that gal know and what should she consider? >> I mean, all the same things for the males. Um, if it's more on a cosmetic side, then you got the copper peptide with the uh GHKCU. Um, and they have trans general creams as well as injectables, all sorts of different things. Um, uh, so that would be a recommendation. Um, GLP-1s, obviously, those are very uh popular, but you know, there's there's specific uses for those. I do want to say something though for mental health and peptides. I'm a massive proponent and especially for anybody that's had like TBI um and that's like medications like DHEXA that are intended to repair um you know brain cells that it can actually perminate the bloodb brain barrier and get in and and fix in damaged areas to certain extents um you know that there's uh sealant and cmax or nasal sprays that are for calming and concentration that are alternatives to ADHD medications or to uh benzoatisipines and other types of things. So >> I I want to be real uh clear that you know we talked about a lot of things uh that men were experiencing on the fitness side but I wanted to make sure that we're covering men and you know that that doesn't just mean how you feel physically. Sometimes it's how you feel mentally, your mental acuity, foggess, um you know, depression and you know, presence and being present with people. And that's where some of these other things come in as well. And I I highly recommend them. Um I've met a lot of men in my life, especially in the last uh half decade here, and especially through the foundation, um where these things were impactful to their life. um you know permanently in in a good way. So I highly recommend investigating them. >> Yeah. And that's the thing. Well, I guess I'll let you answer for yourself. I'll give you part of my answer, but when people are like, hey, because I don't really like Fence Straddlers, like whether it's politically, religiously, on anything. It's like, okay, let your yes be yes and your no be no. Either do the thing or don't do the thing. If you're going to say it, say it with your chest. And so what I would say for people that are maybe hesitant about the peptide world is the alternatives are way worse. So the alternative of not doing anything, you still feel bad mentally or physically, you're still not performing well, not sleeping well, you're not able to show up in the way that you want to. And then if you go the pharma route, there's a lot of issues there. If you go the black market route on, you know, anabolics, HA, any of those types of things, [clears throat] that's going to have some serious consequences and could freaking kill you, by the way. And so it's like peptides is it's that easy entry point where you can do things that are not going to significantly or irrevocably change your body or risk your future health. I know kids, jiu-jitsu guys in their 20s that are abusing testosterone and they have healthy testosterone levels, but I mean one of these kids he tested close to 2,000 was was his test level and I'm like he's like 26 and I'm just like this whoa like what like this this is a disastrous thing. So that's why for me, and I've told guys for a long time, Ernie, I'm incredibly incredibly conservative about the stuff I put into my body. That's why I eat the way that I do with a lot of game meat, you know, meat that I have killed and maybe even processed myself when it comes to like uh different supplements. That's why we work with Jaco Fuel. Their stuff is so super clean, third party tested. But, you know, sometimes you need something that's a little bit better than whey protein or creatine uh to to do some other things. So that that's my personal commercial for what peptides have done for me and how they've helped me. But for someone that's maybe on the fence, it's like, ah, this still seems kind of like woo woo stuff, like explain to them that this isn't crystals. And also like what would you say to someone on the f on the fence? >> Uh, I would say there's a there's a lot of uh skepticism out there because there's been a lot of um misinformation that that is uh happened. But when you look at the market and you look at just how it's grown over the last 5 to seven years, uh it's grown that way for a reason. And things are popular for a reason. These are um you know chemicals, medications that have been uh engineered specific for the human body. Um there's a lot of research and evidence and time that has been put into these far beyond uh many medications that have been brought to market. Um, what they aren't is they're not broadly known. So, it's an education issue. It's a misinformation issue. And I would advise people to do their own research and to give it a try. Um, it might be the best mistake you ever made. >> Hey, and I'll say this that that's again why I kind of vetted you guys, checked into what the stuff that you were doing. you worked with me a little bit because I have a pretty small ecosystem here of the companies I support, the people that I will try to partner with to do any type of a of a deal to to help them with marketing or any of that kind of thing. I'm not going to suggest something to people in my audience that I wouldn't or that I don't use myself. And so Ernie, we've gone all over the place in this conversation. We've covered a lot of areas. You did a great job of flying over stuff and not getting super into the weeds on the nerd stuff, even though I know you could do that. But that's all for me. Is there anything else you want to get off your chest? Uh, no, Kyle, I appreciate it. Uh, you know, it's a pleasure to be on the show.
