0:47 And while we can't stop all of the office jargon...
0:50 Is this fight with our collaborative Gladys work metric?
0:52 LinkedIn can start taking your career to new heights.
0:55 LinkedIn is the network that works for you.
1:18 It is a billion degrees outside, but both of you all came and not sweaty.
1:36 How did y'all pull that off?
1:38 Lots of air conditioning in the car.
1:39 Okay, lots of air conditioning in the car, and women don't sweat anyway, they're just
1:42 glistening.
1:43 But, you know, we got some business to tend to tonight, but the reason I wanted to have
1:46 y'all on, and we talked about it earlier in the show, is we're having on some people
1:49 that have been in the Dominion program, and not just the guys that are in the program,
1:54 but I wanted to talk to one of the ladies, get the ladies' perspective, a wife's perspective,
1:58 and we actually have a really cool shared story that we'll get to here in a second.
2:02 But before we get to anything else, I'm always curious how people found and donned live, found
2:05 our content, why in the world they keep listening.
2:07 So, like, when did you first find us?
2:09 You remember?
2:10 It was a couple of years ago, a buddy of mine gave me one of your cigars at a men's night.
2:19 No, we were playing poker, and he gave me one of your cigars, and I was like, "Oh, what's
2:24 this?"
2:25 And he kind of said, "It's a podcast, and Joby's on there, sometimes doing ask-
2:30 Oh, she was another 11-20 tour?
2:32 He's another 11-20 tour, yep.
2:34 And I was like, "Cool," and went home a few weeks later, I was on YouTube, and I was like,
2:41 "I'm going to look this up," and I found it.
2:44 And I started listening to Ask a Pastor, and thought it was really interesting, and then
2:49 I just started listening to back material, and waiting for you to release new content.
2:56 And I was hooked, and just started listening, and then I became a monthly donor.
2:59 Yeah, it's really funny, because with Joby, I mean, sitting here in this church, he has
3:03 like 74 assistants, I think, or maybe 75 at last count, but his assistants tell me they're
3:07 like, because they see all his emails, they're like, "It's almost always, hey, we heard about
3:11 you from either I was on John Cooper, or unashamed, or something like that."
3:15 But with his assistants, it's like people are either just, they found one of his books,
3:20 or they found him because he comes on our show all the time, because those clips go out
3:23 all over the place.
3:24 And that's kind of a unique thing, where you have like a non-pastor and a pastor that
3:27 kind of get along, and they're kind of just doing a show, like just cutting it up and whatever.
3:30 And so like, was he like sharing content with you, because we have like a 5% lady listenership,
3:36 but that 5%, they're like gangster ladies.
3:39 So like, when did you first become aware of that?
3:41 This was a thing.
3:42 It was definitely through Will.
3:44 He started to tell me a little bit about the show, and different things about you, and
3:51 encouraged me to listen, probably sent me a few links.
3:56 And so I enjoyed it.
3:58 And then it went way deeper, because about a year ago or a little over a year ago, I sent
4:03 a secret email out, and Will was one of the guys that got that email because I was kicking
4:08 around this idea about, "Okay, people have consumed the show.
4:11 They've read the devotionals.
4:12 They've seen me speak live," or something like that.
4:15 But then it was always the same bit of feedback, "Okay, Kyle, but we want more.
4:19 Like we want you to help us individually, like be equipped to push back darkness.
4:23 Like we want you to help us cultivate spiritual, mental, physical resilience, whatever thing
4:27 would be."
4:28 I sent a little email to a small group of my donors, and it basically said nothing.
4:32 I don't know if you ever saw the email back, but the email basically said nothing, and
4:35 it said email back if you're interested in nothing, and I got a bunch of emails back
4:38 from these people.
4:39 And then it was like, "Okay, we'll fill out this little questionnaire and then hop on
4:42 a Zoom call with me."
4:43 And I pitched them on this program called Dominion.
4:46 And I was very open about how, "Hey, I've kind of got this mapped out sort of kind of,
4:51 but I'm looking for a group of killers, a small group of dudes that are going to help
4:55 set the foundation for this program overall and help us figure out what it's going to
4:59 look like so that we can extrapolate it out to the larger population."
5:02 And so I guess my curiosity for you, Will, because we talked about this, but it's been
5:06 a long time ago, but what was it about that those first couple of emails and then talking
5:10 with me to where you were even interested in this nebulous idea of what Dominion could
5:16 be?
5:17 You know what I mean?
5:18 Well, I was so into the content that you put out, and just the mission statement of
5:23 undaunted life, pushing back darkness, forging resilience mentally, physically, and spiritually.
5:31 And when given the opportunity to become a part of that, I wanted to.
5:40 Listening to your program, I wanted to do those things, be resilient mentally, physically,
5:45 and spiritually, but you don't always know how to do that.
5:48 Sometimes it takes outside eyes to say, "Hey, you can do this, this and this," advice or
5:56 coaching or whatever you want to call it, and I wanted to hear more.
6:00 I wanted to be a part of it.
6:02 One Becky, I'm curious from your perspective, because with this first group of guys, I described
6:06 as much as I could describe, because the program is a significant investment of time, effort,
6:13 capital, a bunch of stuff, and I was telling the guys, "There will only ever be one team
6:18 one."
6:19 And if you're on it, for better or for worse, you're setting the foundation for this thing.
6:23 And if it goes nowhere, it's ultimately my fault, but if it goes somewhere, y'all will
6:27 always be team one.
6:28 And so I'm curious what those conversations look like, because you weren't on the calls
6:32 with me, right?
6:33 It was just Will and I interacting, and then he came to you with probably this.
6:38 I mean, if my pitch was kind of hodgepodge, I can only imagine what it was like when you're
6:41 playing telephone, and it's kind of second hand, but what was that conversation like?
6:44 And then what kind of made you, because as I understand it, you were almost more comfortable
6:48 with the idea than he was initially, is that right?
6:51 I think kind of.
6:54 If that's what he told you, well, he didn't tell me that.
6:56 I thought I had heard that.
6:58 Oh, did.
6:59 Okay.
7:00 Maybe not.
7:01 I might be mixing stories here.
7:02 Well, I would say that I maybe I didn't react in the way that you expected me to.
7:07 Maybe he thought it would be a hard no.
7:09 Hard no.
7:10 It wasn't a hard no.
7:11 It wasn't a hard no.
7:12 Okay.
7:13 And instead, yeah, instead it was definitely not a hard no, there initially Will's Will telling
7:24 me about it when he told me about it, excuse me, he got, he almost got a little emotional.
7:33 I feel like I heard it in his voice, just how important he felt like this could be.
7:48 And I know his heart, I know that he wants what's best for me and for our children.
7:58 And I had known for a while that he was really, that he was really trying to find the best
8:11 version of himself in different ways in different times.
8:18 But typically, and I'll just use maybe jumping into some something new, like maybe an exercise
8:26 routine or something, or a way of eating, cutting something out, something like that.
8:30 Just something that would be healthier physically.
8:34 And he would do it for maybe like a week or two, and he'd be real pumped about it.
8:41 And then, and then, and then without fail, it would just kind of dwindle out, you know,
8:48 and that's, that's pretty common.
8:50 Super common.
8:51 Well, I mean, Becky, you're hitting on a lot of the points, like that's, that's why we
8:54 wanted to do this, because we kept having guys that were either confused about, okay,
8:57 what now?
8:58 Or they would get like real fired up, right, real motivated about something.
9:01 And they didn't know how to turn that into like a lifetime discipline.
9:05 And that's how I'm wired.
9:06 That's how I've acted over the long period of time.
9:08 But when you talk to so many guys that keep having the same problems and the same struggles
9:12 to where it's like, okay, I need to help try to connect the dots for some people.
9:15 So, you know, long story short, you do become one of the first 10 members of Dominion Team
9:19 one, but now we need to fast forward to December of last year, this would have been in December
9:25 of 2024.
9:26 So, I'm here in town in Jacksonville because the next day I'm going to be leaving with
9:29 a group of guys from Church 1122 to go on the hunt encounter.
9:32 So, that's where they take, you know, two, three dozen guys from the church, they do
9:35 a hunting thing in Georgia, and I go with Joby every year.
9:38 And so, I was here the night before and Shane and Shane just so happened to be here doing
9:42 a Christmas concert.
9:43 And I love Shane and Shane.
9:44 So, I'm like, okay, I'm gonna come do the Christmas concert.
9:45 And so, landing our editor, shout out, landing over there, he's like, hey, just watch
9:48 it in the sound booth.
9:49 He's like, great.
9:50 So, I'm just watching it in there.
9:51 As soon as the show's over, y'all both come up.
9:53 And so, I was like, oh, shoot, yeah, I will.
9:54 Great to see you.
9:55 But I had not met you yet.
9:56 And so, the three of us were sitting there chatting, it's literally about like 75 feet
9:59 this way from where we're standing right now.
10:01 And then someone comes up, I don't know who it was, but someone came up to talk to you,
10:04 was it landing?
10:05 Okay.
10:06 So, landing comes up, super rude, like, and comes and walks up and just busts into our conversation
10:09 and starts talking to you.
10:11 And then, I look over at you and you do one of these.
10:15 And you just like square up with me and look me right in the eye and I was almost like,
10:19 oh, shoot, what did I do?
10:21 I've seen eyes like that before and it didn't always go well for me.
10:24 And then you just go, thank you.
10:26 And I was, I didn't know what you were thanking me for.
10:28 I thought, oh, for being here, for, you know, supporting Jersey 1122.
10:32 And I kind of said some meandering to that, to that end.
10:36 And you were just like, no, no, no, no, no, thank you for your program.
10:41 Will is completely different than from when he started.
10:45 And then you gave just a little bit of detail about the consistency and like, you're like,
10:51 I've never seen him work out like this.
10:53 I've never seen him.
10:54 You know, take his Bible study seriously, like, you know, leading, leading us, like pursuing
10:59 me, like that kind of stuff.
11:02 And I was like, okay, you can't just cry in front of the stranger.
11:05 But I was like, it was such a validating thing to hear because it's one thing to hear from
11:09 a guy.
11:10 But guys posture, you know, guys will be like, oh, yeah, you know, things are going well
11:13 and I'm crushing it in all these areas and blah, blah, blah and all that.
11:16 But you can't fake it when you're talking to the spouse, right?
11:19 And you had no really reason why you needed to offer up that, that to me, but you did.
11:26 And it was almost like, even though Dominion had been going for seven or for several months,
11:31 that that was like the validating point where I'm like, this is a real thing.
11:35 Because like someone's wife was like, no, this is actually working.
11:39 So I don't know if I remember it vividly, that may have just been like a nothing experience
11:43 for you.
11:44 But but yeah, going back to that, that time, I'm just, and that was just a few months into
11:48 the program.
11:49 We're so much further now.
11:50 And so I guess just, I'd love to hear from, from both of you about, okay, what were some
11:54 of the things that happened with you will early on that made you be like, okay, I'm
11:57 burning the ships.
11:58 We're doing this, this, this and this.
11:59 So much so that not only did Becky notice, but she felt the need to tell me about it.
12:03 So, man, I, if I'm going to do something and invest my time, I'm going to, I'm going to
12:11 give it my all, especially when, you know, it's such an investment.
12:16 And when you holding me accountable, I've got nine other dudes holding me accountable from
12:21 all over the country, yeah, the country.
12:24 And then to be team one, it's you're set in the standard.
12:29 So I thought that was a giant responsibility to you, to myself and to those guys.
12:38 And then, you know, I've got a huge responsibility with my wife and my kids and man, I just want
12:42 to, I want to do the best I can by them.
12:46 So yeah, it was kind of like, this is one of the most important things that I'm ever going
12:51 to do.
12:52 It's going to last a year.
12:53 I'm here to learn.
12:54 I'm here to glean from all the people we've met, got a notebook of notes and, and we've
13:03 got, you know, the recordings that you've give us that we can look back on and just having
13:08 the accountability and just saying, Hey, I'm going to study my Bible.
13:13 I'm going to read books.
13:15 I'm going to take working out seriously.
13:19 You know, actually one of the first things I did and we've talked about this is I signed
13:24 up for the program, talked to you.
13:27 We kind of stayed in contact before it actually officially began, but I went ahead and joined
13:31 a jujitsu gym because of your encouragement.
13:34 You were like, just go do it.
13:37 And I was like, okay, and you said go to go to one that's good, the closest to your house,
13:42 otherwise you won't go.
13:44 And I've been going, you know, every week for since July, yeah, of last year.
13:51 And I love it.
13:52 I've got the bug.
13:53 And, you know, I want to be able to defend my family and defend weaker people and hold
13:57 somebody down to the cops come.
13:59 Yeah.
14:00 He's going to get us all into it.
14:03 Yeah.
14:04 Yeah.
14:05 We brought you a key.
14:06 It's over.
14:07 My kids too, man, my kids, I wish, I wish that somebody had done this way sooner.
14:16 I wish I'd had this knowledge sooner.
14:19 I wish I'm going to be the kind of, it's challenging me to be the kind of dad that's
14:25 going to make my kids, it's going to help my kids, I guess, help my kids follow the Lord.
14:34 Know that, you know, you can be a little bit weird.
14:37 You don't have to do it the way the status quo is status quo is you don't have to worry
14:42 about what the world thinks about you.
14:44 There's just important things and I want to teach them what's important in life.
14:48 Everyone will as the head of the household, they're going to have a bunch of friends,
14:51 they're going to have a bunch of coaches, they may even have a bunch of pastors.
14:53 They get one dad, they get one head of the household.
14:55 And so for Becky for you, I mean, like I said, whenever you and I met for the first time,
15:00 that was just a few months into this and you were already seeing like such, such big changes.
15:04 So what was it that you were noticing about will after you started the program?
15:10 To be honest, I'm not sure what exactly I was noticing at that moment.
15:18 At that time, because it's all.
15:21 Let's just talk about it, because we're here, we're at a year now.
15:24 Right.
15:25 Yeah, it's crazy.
15:26 But definitely we'll, we'll wakes up early before everybody else in the house and gets
15:34 into the word.
15:39 Every opportunity he gets, he's, he's, he's, he's reading the material that, that all
15:47 the guys are in at that time.
15:50 And sometimes rereading books.
15:55 And he's always sharing with me and it makes, it makes for great conversations in our house.
16:04 We're both growing because of it as a result.
16:08 I'm being poured into as he's being poured into, but in a, in a different way, I'm sure.
16:16 Maybe just the way the, the Lord intends for it to be when a man is pursuing him, when a
16:26 man is pursuing the Lord, like Willis and like the program helps men to do.
16:35 And so waking up early, the consistency that he didn't have before where he would, where
16:44 he would abandon ship, sorry, I'm a little thirsty, he, he, he has started these things.
16:56 And I mean, go, he's still going strong, it's not.
17:05 I'm not really sure what exactly you've incorporated into this program that can cause this kind
17:14 of a transformation.
17:16 But also there were, there were quite a few things around the house that could have been
17:25 done, right?
17:29 And he, it's like he just, he just gets stuff done, like constantly he's, he is just getting
17:38 stuff done.
17:39 And I don't mean to say that he doesn't know how to rest and enjoy his family more so he
17:46 does, but, but he, but he's just very productive now.
17:55 Hey guys, real quick.
17:57 Do you remember during the pandemic when you basically couldn't get anything shipped to
18:00 your house?
18:01 All this manufacturing that was supposed to be taking place in America had been shipped
18:04 overseas and you just didn't notice it.
18:06 And I remember a bunch of companies saying, we're going to do everything we can to make
18:09 sure that we bring manufacturing back to America and almost none of them followed through on
18:13 that promise.
18:14 But for me and for all of us here at Undaunted Life, I wanted to make sure that I partnered
18:18 with an American company that actually did want to prioritize American workers, their
18:22 families, their communities and a company that would keep their word.
18:26 And that's why I want to remind you that we are partnered with Origin.
18:29 Origin is an apparel company based in Maine and what do they make?
18:32 They make the best jujitsu geese on the planet and the only jujitsu geese that are made completely
18:37 in America.
18:38 They also make jeans.
18:39 Yes, they have stretchy jeans.
18:41 They also have work jeans and boot cut jeans for you guys as well.
18:43 They make amazing hunting gear.
18:45 And here's the thing.
18:46 I know you guys like some other hunting brands, but those companies are American companies
18:50 that use overseas labor to increase their profit margins on their gear, not to help you or
18:56 Americans out.
18:57 They also offer handmade leather boots.
18:59 That does include steel toe boots and mock toe boots and they also make workout clothes
19:03 and everyday pants and shirts and almost indestructible hoodies and they're launching
19:07 new apparel all the time.
19:08 Guys, if you haven't already tried Origin stuff, you need to check them out and support
19:13 a company that supports Americans.
19:15 Try Origin out today by going to www.originusa.com.
19:19 That's originusa.com.
19:22 Use the promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order.
19:25 Again, that's originusa.com promo code undaunted to get 10% off your order.
19:31 Well, Becky, you're hitting on a lot of the things that some of which were purposeful
19:36 to the program and some of which just kind of evolved as team one has evolved and now
19:39 we're on to multiple teams.
19:41 But it's boring, consistent, disciplined movement in the exact same direction.
19:49 That's basically what it is because, oh, great.
19:51 You worked out for a month neat and then you took off the next two years, not neat, okay?
19:55 You may as well not waste it any time that month.
19:57 And so it's like getting the right mindset and the it's a mindset of execution.
20:02 Like we are going to execute on the things that we're doing because at the end of the
20:05 day, if you have all these great ideas, if you have all these great things that you
20:08 would love to do, but you don't actually put them into practice, it really doesn't make
20:11 any difference.
20:12 And so I'm looking at the watch.
20:13 We need to get to church here in just a second because we are about to go watch Joby preach
20:16 live about a thousand feet that away.
20:19 But just for the last thing here, there are some guys right now that have heard about
20:23 the Dominion program that got in the emails, they've gotten the text messages, and we've
20:26 got people literally standing by waiting to look at the applications to see if people
20:30 are fit, set up calls for interviews, the whole nine yards.
20:33 But there are people right now that are on the fence about applying something's in the
20:36 way, something's like, oh, I don't know, like I don't even know exactly what this is.
20:40 And so it's keeping them from applying, but then we're getting flooded with application.
20:43 So that's not a huge problem.
20:45 But then there are people that go all the way through the process.
20:47 And then we explain, okay, this is what it's going to take to be a Dominion man to be in
20:51 this program.
20:52 This is the time in like investment that we expect.
20:56 This is the effort investment we expect.
20:58 This is a financial investment that that is required to be a part of this program.
21:02 It just is what it is.
21:03 And some people are just on the fence.
21:04 They don't know if they should jump.
21:06 And so I would like to hear from from Will, obviously, as a member of team one, and then
21:10 Becky as, you know, a help mate of a member of team one, as to kind of what you would
21:14 say to guys that are on the fence and what you would say to maybe gals that don't listen
21:19 to my content.
21:20 Go get don't get super excited about the stuff that I do because, you know, they're ladies
21:23 and they're not listening.
21:24 Go ahead.
21:25 First thing I would say is if there's something you feel like you're missing in your life,
21:31 there's something you feel like you can improve upon but don't know how this program is perfect
21:38 for that.
21:39 But the thing that I, one of the things that I've learned through this program is I can
21:44 make excuses about so much stuff.
21:47 I can, I have stopped making so many excuses because number one, I've learned how to do
21:53 hard things.
21:55 And when you learn how to do hard things and you see that you can do hard things, stuff
22:00 becomes a little bit easier.
22:02 It's not as hard anymore.
22:04 So put yourself to the task, put yourself, see what you can accomplish.
22:09 Don't settle for, don't settle for something less than just excellence.
22:13 The other thing is James said it, said it about the, the devillones defense.
22:19 Get off the fence, man, we're, we're at war.
22:23 If you're a believer in Jesus Christ, you are at war.
22:25 You have an adversary that wants to still kill and destroy and he wants to take your
22:29 family.
22:30 He wants to take you.
22:31 He wants to take this world, but we serve God who's way bigger.
22:35 So we're on team Jesus and if you want to get in the game, get in the fight, dominion
22:42 is a perfect program to do it.
22:44 We need more men to be equipped to do that.
22:46 All right.
22:47 Becky, you get the last word.
22:48 So.
22:49 So this is not the same person that I used to be married to.
22:59 And it's a transformation that in my, in my mind, it's, it's like a miracle.
23:13 So, so it produces so much hope in me and it strengthens my faith so much.
23:28 When I see, when I see these, these changes, when I see, when I see what God can do, when
23:39 a person is fully surrendered, more surrendered than ever before and, and somehow stronger
23:50 and more determined than ever, and so it's a testimony to Jesus Christ and his power at
24:05 work in you and it doesn't just stop with will, it stops, it doesn't stop.
24:12 It ripples out, it, it not only ripples out into the men's groups that you're involved
24:20 with now, but, but first and foremost, it, it affects me because as Christ is, is his
24:30 head, he is my head and, and so, and then all that affects our children too.
24:40 And really everyone around us in our community.
24:46 So, so my hope and prayer is that this just keeps going.
24:55 But I would say to women that are on the fence, I would say that you need to be aware that
25:06 it's going to shake things up a little bit when, when your man walks with the Lord in
25:16 this way.
25:19 And so, but it, but it is according to scripture, it is, and this is why I, why I thank you
25:27 that day.
25:31 And so it's, it's going to be a little uncomfortable probably.
25:34 You have to be willing to change too and, and I'm praying for you.
25:41 Yeah, that's, that's such a great sentiment.
25:43 It's been so great to get to know you just a little bit because of the encouragement that
25:47 you've been personally to me for the validation of this program and we'll just see where you
25:50 were last year when we started versus right now, when we're wrapping up, like I'm just
25:55 thrilled to have you as a member of team one.
25:57 And thank you guys for sharing your story.
25:58 And let's go listen to Joby.
26:00 I don't know if he's going to be any good, but we might as well go in there and see.
