I will say that before you got on here, you said I've been on fire on the podcast lately. I think it's because of the new intro outro music. And I'd I'll tell you, if you listen to it at three times speed, which is the speed I'm listening to my podcast at now, the level of chaos is just insane. But it's praising God. Let's go. Can I get an amen? >> I'm glad you read the words. I'm really glad you read the words. Well, I read the words just in case any of you like fuddy-duddies out there, cuz I know if you you were in charge, my intro outro would just be like banjo music or something like that. But it's just like, come on. Like I like this stuff is awesome. I'm also glad to hear that you're like crying in worship at How Great Thou Art. Oh my gosh. Like, oh. So, if y'all don't know what I'm talking about, at the beginning of the What What episode was that? Crisis Yeah, crisis of discernment episode that came out a couple weeks before this one comes out. Bro, I don't know what it was, but like I remember people Who said it? Someone said it recently. It may have been on Deep End, where it's like, "Hey, when's the last time you like got choked up at the gospel?" >> Yeah. Okay, yeah. Matt Carter. Shout out Matt Carter. But like literally like that morning, I'm like, "Well, I can't even sing any of these words in the car." And then we get in the worship service, and I'm like, "That's cheating. You can't sing How Great Thou Art when no one's expecting it. We got to have it in the bulletin, so all of us can prepare our hearts. What's wrong with y'all?" Well, another thing that you I wanted to talk to you about this. I'm glad we're talking about it. But something else that you did though is you like really prepared for worship, you know? Like and a lot of people don't, man. They They They don't get ready to go worship God. Can you imagine if you didn't get ready for jujitsu? Like you had your stuff with you, but you just walked in the room, and then like the whistle blew. And everybody else is fighting like somebody's fighting you, and you're trying to change, but your gear on and get stretched out, and the class will be over, and you'll be like, "Why did I get beat up today?" Dude, you weren't even ready. A lot of people walk into church that way. So, you listen to Phil Wickham, good choice, by the way. And as you know, uh you mentioned it, he's got theologians that look over his stuff, so he didn't write crap. It's really good. Uh and he's like super anointed gifted guy. So, your heart's in the right spot. And then the the real killer is your little boy grabs your hand. >> Oh my God. >> Okay. So, what I'm I might start using this use you to as the example. A big part of what worship is is that, except when we worship God, he is he is not just he's not just like a father, he is father. And it's like we reach up and grab his hand. And to an infinite degree of what you were experiencing ontologically in that moment, God God gets like he's into it when we worship him, and we do all the things. We reach up and we grab his hand, and we say, "God, how great thou art." So, good job, man. And I'm glad you shared it with all the people that listen to to Undaunted Life. Well, and I mean the the reason why I shared it is because like I mean, how often do you feel like you get a glimpse of heaven? Now, I mean, if you go to like certain churches or denominations, like that's like a prerequisite every Sunday. You have to have a glimpse of heaven as people are falling out on the in the aisles. But like I literally felt like the heavens opened up for a moment with the congregational singing, seeing they're holding my boy's hand. I didn't grab his hand, like for anyone that missed my story, during the beginning of How Great Thou Art, his first time ever being in service with Mommy and Daddy. He's 5 years old. He just reaches up and instinct It was like instant to him. He just grabs my hand and just starts holding my hand. And I'm like, "I'm going to melt. I'M GOING TO melt into like a big puddle of nonsense right now." Because I mean, gosh, it just literally felt like the heavens opened up, and it's like I just got a peek as to what what this is going to look like. Because whenever you Guys, I'm just telling you, pastors listen to this, if you pitch humanity in heaven as a endless worship service, most guys are not going to be into it. It's just like, "I can't sing Oceans for eternity. I just can't." Like it's just eventually going to get worn out. But I mean, that right there, that was a little bit of a slice of it. So, uh we're going to get into some of our questions today. And here's the thing, I'm wearing my Dominion hat today. So, all the questions today, except for the first one, are going to be coming from Dominion guys, guys that are currently in the program, guys that are in our watchman program, which are the guys that have graduated out of the other teams. But I've got to hit this thing from the very beginning. And and the main reason just to set this up, Joby and I And I've asked, you know, Chandler about it recently. I've asked some other people about it. Some of that will end up being on the show. But I've been overwhelmed over the last few months. Like it's been a very truncated period of time with some very specific direct messages and emails I've been getting from men who are in very, very rough situations regarding their marriages. Now, these messages are coming from one party, just the husband. They're obviously seeing themselves likely through rose-colored glasses, but I could even tell in how some of these messages are written. Guys are acknowledging their role in the family [clears throat] and all that. But then I'm I'm reading these messages, and they're listing out, "Here's all the things I'm doing." And maybe there was infidelity in the marriage from the wife's side. Maybe there's mental illness. Maybe like you insert all the different things, cuz I've gotten them all in different messages, right? They're like, "Here's what I've done. Here's the counseling we've sought out. Here's the pastors and elders we've worked with. Here's the this. Here's the that." And [clears throat] at some point, it just seems like the woman is completely disengaged from the process, from from, you know, getting to a good place in the marriage, from upholding her duties. And I've found myself, Joby, being a little flat-footed. And I've asked you about this on the on the podcast before on Ask a Pastor. But, you know, when it says like, "Hey, you know, leave the Ephesians 5 passages that apply to her to her. Leave that to her and God, and you just focus on the ones that are about you." It seems to not I While I would acknowledge that's the right answer. That's the correct answer. Guys are finding it unworkable. They're finding it unlivable. Because it seems like somewhere along the line, Joby, we've decided that we're going to hold men accountable to a standard to lead, to provide, to protect. But then we essentially tell women that their side the of the deal is just optional, right? You know, if you feel fulfilled, if you feel like your self-esteem is at a good enough place, you can go ahead and be a helpmate made fit for him. And I Brother, I just like I hate giving generic advice to these guys. And so, I'm just stuck with How do you live out the just keep showing up even if she doesn't? Uh well, let's talk about this. Like So, I to the guys first, if she never responds rightly, you signed up for what Jesus signed up for when he went to the cross for you. All right. So, we won't beat that to death. But that is it. Even if I've got no solution for you, that's what you signed up for. Okay? So, we won't beat that to death. I do think that uh and then let's let's kind of pull off the table here severe trauma, some sort of severe physical, you know, so generally speaking, um there are a lot of wives that are living in sin that does not get called out or held accountable or pressed on whatsoever. And Paul makes it abundantly clear in 1 Corinthians, you know, cuz a lot of times, man, it comes down to the bedroom. And we've lived in such a romanticized society that you're exactly right. Like the often some many, many, many wives just get Honestly, there's lots of hormone changes, and and they that might be uh it's still not an excuse though to not walk according to the word of God. And the word of God says that a wife's body's not her own, but also her husband's. And then the husband is the is the same. I just don't know a lot of dudes. There are some guys that fall into that category. I don't know very many of them. And the big I mean, we we've got to have we've got to have some women in the church, older women, step up and disciple younger women in heart, soul, mind, and strength. And we've got to have some women that are looking at other wives saying, "Hey, listen. I think you're liv- I think you're walking in sin here. You're married to a good man. He loves you." And a lot of these things that we've heard, like the men and women are from Mars and Venus, I can't remember which person which goes with which planet, has not been very helpful whatsoever. Because when it comes to sex and sexuality, even though, you know, people joke that like women are the Crock-Pot and men are the microwave, that's not fundamentally true. That the gift of sex given by God is still the most the intimate like soul stirring way that you can express your love both to give and receive it with your wife. And when that gets moved off the table, man, when that gets weaponized when when you get belittled as a man cuz all you ever want to do is is have sex. That That's never true, either. I don't know the man that's all he ever wants to do. But a being at a healthy rhythm of having that kind of intimacy with your wife is normative in the scripture and anything outside of that normative rhythm is sin. And I don't know exactly how to address it. I know here to love 22 we don't have a like quote unquote women's ministry, but we've got a bunch of I mean just Bible baller women that are discipling other women and it it has to happen. The The The hard part for the husband is going to be I don't know how you force that. You can't force it. But there ought to be some older women in their life saying, "Listen, okay, you feel however you feel, wife, but I'm just telling you you're married to a good man. Like on the spectrum of like terrible husband to the best husband ever, you're way more over here on the I mean this guy loves you, cares for you, reads his Bible, is a decent dad, he provides, he protects. Like you lay out the prescription, though. Then What What can he do that would help him or help you want to give yourself to him more? And if And if your answer is, "Well, it just doesn't work. It just doesn't work. It just doesn't work." That is your sin that you need to repent of and walk in accordance with the scriptures. And a lot of people just aren't sharing that and and that might help some of the men to hear that. That if your wife is cold to you physically and you are trying I'm not saying you're perfect, but you are trying she is in sin and she needs to repent. Cuz I mean, you're the only clean drink of water in town, bro, and a dude gets thirsty. And for her to withhold that is not doing what the Bible says to do. And so from a a practical standpoint, so how I've responded to some of these guys cuz there was one guy in particular, obviously I won't name him. The level of detail he gave me cuz his initial email was a little bit I'm like, "Hey man, I can't give you advice based on this little bit of information." And so then he laid it out and I was like, "Okay." So he took the challenge seriously. And first of all, I was brokenhearted, Joby, because what was indicative of the fact that I received that email is the tacit assumption from me that this guy does not have Mac carriers, he does not have a foxhole, he does not have a king's table, he does not have a band of brothers, he doesn't have a relationship with his pastor or the elders of his church cuz he's asking his favorite podcaster for advice on the thing that is the closest thing we have to understanding Christ's sacrifice on the cross, which is how we are to sacrificially love our wives. And I was like, "God." So that was heartbreaking for one. But then the other thing is I was just like, "Buddy Buddy, you've got to be in like biblical counseling with her. Like and it can't be a counselor that's got, you know, the Bible stacked here and then the DSM-5 stacked there and then, you know, whatever the latest data says there. It's got to start with the Bible and then, you know, his response was a well, she doesn't want to go. She doesn't think anything's wrong. She's fine with how things are. I Hey man, I feel like she's she's trying to get me to leave. She's trying to make it as herself as, you know, uninteresting or unattractive as possible. And I'm just like, "Golly." I mean, yeah, cuz if you're the one that says it you know, if if he's in the relationship and he's the one saying it to her, it's like, "Man, that that's brutal." But yeah, for for these I guess for these women out there that and for the 5%ers that are listening to this is like maybe encourage your sisters because I feel like a lot of these women get together and they talk about whatever the latest thing is, right? You know, maybe it's perimenopause or maybe it's some sort of peptide they need to be on that's going to fix all their things and and give them all their hopes and dreams and actualization. But it's just kind of like this idea that sex is just this optional thing with your husband. It's not just about the physical connection, it's about you're choosing him. You're choosing him above all others, you're choosing to give yourself to him, you're choosing to expose yourself to him in all the ways that exposure is meant to be defined. And yeah, I mean just gosh, I just I don't know what it is, but most women's ministries it's all about, "Girl, you are good enough and, you know, you do you boo." And it's like that's not helping anybody. Yeah, and then the the really hard part the twisted part that the enemy likes to use when it comes to the bedroom is when that becomes the end, you kind of poison the soup trying to get there. You know what I mean? Like cuz what what it could feel like to the wife is she's being dragged to this biblical counseling and then she's like, "Okay, let's have sex." And then it's not like an overflow of this great relationship. You know what I mean? It's very much like a tug of war and so then it's it's just it just kind of poisons the very thing that God gave us as a gift to give and receive. The norm, bro. Just like the norm on righteousness is the book of Romans, the norm on freedom is the book of Galatians, the norm on grace is the book of Ephesians. The norm on sex and sexuality for married people is Song of Solomon. And you read through that and it's the race I mean it's very very racy well into their old age. It's not like it was hot and heavy early and then, you know, it wasn't a thing in their old age. The book ends how it begins with this couple that are enjoying the gift of sex that God has given them in the in the context of marriage. And so to be outside of God's norm is to be walking in the way of the world. And if she was doing that in regards to money or greed or idolatry, then we would call that out. And so but it's it it really is best for a woman to be able to lean into another woman that way. Because ultimately what you want is you want your wife to just be healthy. And you healthy and then you have a healthy Jesus loving relationship and then all the you know, that way whether it's your conversations or your time together or in the bedroom or whatever, this is just fruit growing on the vine of a healthy God centered relationship. Well, I don't know how much time you have, but your your assistant's going to be mad cuz I still got questions from the Dominion guys. We haven't even gotten to them yet. So we're going to see how fast we can get through these. So this question is from Justin who's a Dominion Team 1 member and he is on Watchman. So shout out to Justin. So about the man being the head, Joby runs down five things a man is to be. One, prophet, which is, you know, tell the family the truth. Two is priest, which is taking care of the souls and you care for their hearts. Third is servant king. Joby says that we need to, you know, you you need a home and we need food and those types of things. And then fourth is provider. Fifth is protector. What do Joby say is the difference between three and four? That's servant king and provider. Are they the same? I could guess, but can he elaborate somewhere or have you heard? So give us the difference. Great question. There's definitely overlap there cuz what I'm doing is I'm taking like the the three kind of seats Jesus sits in, you know, with prophet, priest, and king. I throw servant in front of the king just to frame it up because when we think king, we think the guy in charge but the way Jesus says that we are to show love is to be a servant. And then I take pro- provider and protector as the definitions of how a husband is to love his wife in Ephesians chapter 5. So >> [clears throat] >> the differentiation there is that provider I think you should look at the Shema. You got to provide heart, soul, mind, and strength, not just a roof over your head, you know, and hot food. But there are a lot of guys that don't provide those things. That's why That's why I would put that like in that servant king. Like you got to go out and make make a home suitable to to raise a family in, to invite your wife into. Like Adam named all of the animals in the Bible and then once he got the world in order, then Eve was given to him by God. So a lot a lot of crossover there for sure. Okay. >> But provider is not simply go to work, make a paycheck. It's also you got to provide like think heart, soul, mind, and strength for your wife and your children. Yeah, that's what you were talking about what the last time you were on here whenever people got their panties in a wad because you were talking about, you know, shooting an intruder in his stupid dumb intruder face. And it's just kind of like, well, hey, that's that's part of provision. I am providing a protective environment for our children. It's like get out of here, pansies. All right, next one here. Will, who's a dominion team three guy. Shout out to Will. Dear Joby, the 10 Commandments start off with you shall have no other gods before me and you shall not make you of yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to worship them for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. The question is, what do you think that God above thinks about us bowing down to oh or four or more hours a day starting with this little box. He's basically talking about an iPhone. We're bowing down as we look at this iPhone staring at this little box amidst the majesty of his creation and in the presence of his image bearers. And so like this this guy he lives in Colorado. He's surrounded by God's great creation. But yeah, you do find a lot of people whether they're at a sporting event, they're looking at it through their their lens of their phone as opposed to experiencing it whether they're seeing the Artemis launch. They're not actually watching with their eyes amongst other image bearers of God. They've got their stupid little phone out taking their dumb video as if it's not being filmed in high definition from a hundred other cameras. And so how are we to think about that in light of the first commandment? Yeah, I um you know, I think when you get first things first, it will it will reorient the whole rest of your life. So the beginning of the 10 Commandments and when Jesus says, you know the the greatest commandment are these two and he quotes the Shema and then a a verse about loving your neighbor is that when you when you set Jesus as preeminent before all things, everything else seems to take order. So I would start as simply as before you reach for that iPhone, why don't you reach for the Lord every morning? Like the first thing you do be to pray instead of look at your phone. The first thing you do is even if you use your phone is fine, but go to the scriptures before you go to anything else in the world. So just like we are to bring out our first and best in regards to our resources, I think we should also do the same thing with our time. We as believers worship on the first day of the week because that's when Jesus came out of the grave. And I don't think that's just a weekly thing. I don't think that's just a money thing. I think every day of your life if you begin to reorient your life that way. Like you open your eyes and instead of hitting the ground running, maybe hit your knees and pray first. Read the Bible first. It's amazing cuz you can get everything else in order, but if he's not first, your whole life's out of order. And so I do think that's a good observation though. The bowing down to our phone and many many it's so easy to get trapped in it. I'd ask yourself the question, have I given my first and best to the Lord today in regards to time, effort, attention, affections? And if you do that, everything else in your day will tend to go better. Well, here's a daddy hack for you guys that work out in the mornings. And so this is whether you have a home gym or go to a globo gym or something like that. Take your Bible with you. Make it part of your warm-up. So before I start a podcast cuz I mean I go straight from the, you know, from my bed to the bathroom to to my gym. That's that's, you know, straight through. Don't talk to anybody. Don't do anything. And before I turn on podcast, before I do anything like that, I've got a Bible sitting there right on my sore next rack and I open it up and I and I read a chapter and I kind of dig in and let that kind of set the tone. Imagine being the guy that shows up to the gym at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning and you sit down on the bench or you sit down somewhere and you should pull out your Bible and start reading. The the 5:00 a.m. 6:00 a.m. morning gym people are already weirdos, all right? And here's the thing, they're also noticers. They notice things cuz at the gym and if you if you've ever been a part of a gym culture, you notice things, right? So maybe you're a little bit underdeveloped in one part of your body and you see someone else that's working out that part of their body and it's more developed. But you're noticing what they're doing, you're noticing how often they're doing it and at what intensity. If you see a guy starting his warm-up with this, even if you don't believe in the Bible that I'm holding up for those of you just listening to this, my goodness, that's going to have an impact and leave and leave a mark on those people. And it's just like what you say. And so if something's fallen apart in someone's life that you work with, they're not going to go to the goofball in the office, the guy that's the center of attention and the life of the party. They're going to go to the praying person. They're going to go to the person that's got the Bible sitting there on their desk that's not, you know, constantly beating everyone over the head with it, but they they continue to go back to something like that. So that's something that we can integrate as well. All right, great hack. Nick Next question from Zach, who's dominion team eight. Shout out dominion team eight. What is a pastor's primary job and secondarily, these are This is a short question, but it's two huge concepts. What is the pastor's primary job and what is the purpose of church? Uh I'll do the second one first. The purpose of church is the glory of God. Um So there's a lot of subcategories that fall under that. Um And for a long time too many pastors tried to bifurcate the purpose of church and they said the purpose of church was evangelism. And then right now it's really hip to say, no, no, no, no, the purpose of church is to disciple church people. And nowhere in the scripture do you think see those things bifurcated. Um that disciples make more disciples and God is glorified by all of that. So the purpose of church, that's the worship services, every meeting, all the things that the church does is to bring glory to God, to make him happy. And then the the primary role of the pastor pastor and shepherd mean the same. So you could you could look through the scriptures and see what a shepherd does. And a a shepherd feeds God's, loves, knows the sheep. And so you are providing the kind of environment whereby disciples are made that God is glorified. And honestly, often times church size might have it might dictate which area you need to lean into more. So my primary role here at 11:22 in no particular order, but is to preach the word and that's that's the role of every pastor. It is to set the direction of our church. And it is to really like lead. Like set the culture at our church. Not just cuz God's not just glorified in the ends, but also the means by which we accomplish those ends. So that's that's primarily what I do. Now, if you pastor a really small church, no problem. There's great churches of all different kind of sizes. You might play a much more hands-on role in some of the care of the folks. Uh and if you pastor a larger church, you might have to spend a lot more time on the preparation of the sermons cuz that's like your currency of ministry and that's the way you have the biggest impact, but you'll be held responsible for those three things no matter what. The preaching of the word, the direction of the church. And the direction has already been set by Jesus. It is the Great Commission. It's just how your church is going to play its role in the Great Commission. And then creating the kind of environment which whereby we are a body, a family. These are the examples used in the scriptures. All right, very good. Remember guys, these are all questions from dominion either guys that are currently in the program or have gone through the program before on donald.life/dominion. This is from Joshua from team one. There can only ever be one team one. Here we go. In the daily blade, we were recently diving into the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20. The term neighbor is explicitly used. What is the significance of this and would a neighbor only be those that we are in community with? I ask this because the New Testament is intentional with brother in Christ and so we have that clarity in the context of believers and and non-believers. Thank you. Well, if you're trying to use the term neighbor to tighten the circle, then Jesus would say you're not doing that right because the parable of the good Samaritan is exactly what the the religious You know, when he says you need to love your neighbor and they and he says, "Who is my neighbor?" Then he's asking that the religious leader is asking, "So who who can I overlook in order to get to the person that I actually need to help?" Jesus tells the parable of the good Samaritan and the point being is don't spend all your time trying to figure out who you are and are not going to help, but be neighborly to whoever God puts in your path. Now Paul in the epistles, he does elevate. He says we should do good to all, but especially the brothers in the church. Um so with limited resources, if you have to reach one over the other, then you would first and foremost, you talk about this all the time. Like first, I'm going to care for the people in my own home, then I'm going to care for the people in my church, then I'm going to care for the people outside of my church and eventually to the ends of the earth. Yeah, and it doesn't mean you don't have hearts for those people, but like if you're feeding starving kids in Africa, but your wife and children are going without from a, you know, from a sustenance standpoint, like you you've got this messed up. It also comes down to no pun intended, but it comes down to dominion. God has given you dominion over a part of humanity, right? With your bride, with your children, with your household, like the literal physical household itself. So it's like it's the Jordan Peterson thing. It's like, can you clean up your room before you start fixing all the world's problems? So here we go. Next one here. David from dominion team seven. Double-07. How about that? That's a cool name. As an adult, how do I honor my father and mother who are currently going through a divorce? What scriptures and biblical truths can I hold on to and give to each of my parents as I pray for their restoration? Again, brutal thing. Divorce sucks no matter when it happens. Obviously, if you know, your parents get divorced as an adult, someone described it the other day, it's like when you you get divorced when your kids are small, your kids they're basically like little saplings, right? I mean, the the wind you know, the the wind's just going to tear them up. Now, you could still have a storm tear you up, but when you're an adult, you're you're kind of a full-grown oak tree, right? You can kind of stand there and withstand the storm, but the storm sucks nonetheless. Yeah, I would I mean, you could go on and on about this. I would focus first and foremost on your mouth. Honor is given, respect is earned. So, even if your parents are doing disrespectable things, you're still called to honor them. And one of the primary ways we honor them is with our words and our attitudes. Another thing is to refuse to be a part of a conversation where anybody, including your mom and dad, is tearing down either your mom or dad. Just say, "Hey listen that you know, you have your story and that's fine, but I'm not the person to talk to about mom that way or about dad that way, okay? I'm going to honor him. I'm going to honor her." And then also, even even in regards to the way you tell the story, if you read the Hall of Faith in the book of Hebrews, there's a lot of redacted history there. Think about it. Like, I mean, the writer of Hebrews is like, "By faith, Abraham did this." And like, "I'm glad you left out the part where you pimped out your wife twice, you know, that wasn't very faithful." Or by faith, "Barak." And he gives credit to Barak. Bro, that joker didn't do anything right. But, there's like this kind of baptized redacted history where you can just choose to talk about the things that are honorable and respectable and choose not to talk about the things that are dishonorable. Well, I can tell you this, I don't know that I've ever met a Barak I liked. So, I'm just going to throw that out there for all you guys. There's you There you go, some red meat for you guys. All right, a couple more questions left. This is from Dan from Dominion Team 2. He's got a scenario, it sounds like a personal one. Pastor A is a senior lead pastor. It is discovered that he had moral fai- failures that were actually illegal as well in his past. The church fires him and begins damage control. Pastor A was eventually sentenced to prison for his crimes. Pastor A's right-hand man, who we'll just call Pastor B, writes his own statement letter explaining that he did not know any of the details regarding the sins of Pastor A before they came out publicly. Shortly thereafter, court documents prove that Pastor B did in fact know the details and severity of the sins of Pastor A prior to his termination, thus making Pastor B's statement a lie. Pastor B still has his job and is still an executive higher-up at the church. Should Pastor B be allowed to keep his job after blatantly lying about foreknowledge of Pastor A's criminal sins? Uh first and foremost, what I would tell the person that asked the question is that that is not uh the Lord has put you given you dominion over many things and uh deciding what that church is is and is not going to do is not under your purview. That is for the elders of that church. And if the elders of that church make a decision that you do not think is in alignment with what ought to happen, then you do have the freedom to walk away. So, when people ask those kind of questions, that's one of the first things you got to let them know. Uh based on all of that information, yeah, lying would be disqualifying from the office of elder. If you if you blatantly withheld information about another disqualified elder and you in essence were protecting them, then you were not being above reproach. And if there are qualifications of an elder or a pastor, that means you can be disqualified from that position. So, that would not be above reproach. And contextually speaking, there's not a whole lot of crimes that most of you can think of that that you I mean, just think about the severity of the crime that would have had to have been committed in this person's past that led to a sentencing, right? Think about the statutes of limitations. We're talking about this person was probably a predator and harmed an image-bearer of God. That's what we're talking about here. Okay, Joby, last question here. This is from Brian from Team 7, Dominion Team 7. Did Lazarus go to heaven when he died prior to Jesus raising him from the dead? If not, where did his spirit go? If by heaven you mean like the bosom of Abraham, the holding place until Christ returns and there's a new heaven and a new earth yes. But, most Christians don't understand that we actually don't go to heaven forever and ever. Heaven and Hades are like a holding place until Christ returns, the resurrection of the dead, uh we're glorified in a twinkling of an eye, and then there's a new heaven and a new earth, and then there's a forever place, lake of fire that was created for the devil and all of his angels and all those who reject Christ. So, yes, I think he was in that holding pattern that Jesus calls the bosom of Abraham, we typically call heaven right now, but he would not in the heaven like that will be our forever and ever home for those of us who follow after Jesus. Which has got to suck. You know when you're taking a nap and you have a really good dream and then all of a sudden you wake up and you're like, "Crap, I'm here still. My back hurts. I've got responsibilities." But hey, since we're around into a close here, you want to go ahead and make any predictions about when the rapture's going to happen, if it's going to happen? You want to give us a date and time? You know, people on the internet, you know, pastors on the internet tend to do that. You want to You want to go ahead and do that? I don't. I do not. Jesus said no the day or time. But he did say that we can be ready for the seasons. And so, here's what I know. I know that we're like a month closer now than we were the last time we did an ask a pastor. I promise that. And I I think I think the Um probably the word more than anything else in the New Testament about the end of times is be ready. That we should live with an expectation. And so, if you're waiting to get ready, you're not doing it right. You should live with this urgent expectation that it could be at any time. All right, very good. Well, I always hold out hope that you're going to have a dad joke for us at the end of one of these. So, you got one? Do you want to just throw one out? Are you ever going to come prepared?
