This is Undaunted Life, a man's podcast on your host Kyle Thompson.
1:21
Let's get into it.
1:22
Guys, before we get into today's content, if you would, please, if you were listening
1:26
to this podcast, give us a rating and a review.
1:28
But guys, I've seen this weird thing happening lately where I'll get these positive reviews,
1:32
right?
1:33
So people will be on Apple or some other place that you can leave an actual written review
1:36
and they'll leave a positive review like, "I love the show.
1:39
I can't wait for it to come out every week," blah, blah, blah, and then they'll give it
1:42
three or four stars or maybe even like two stars.
1:45
It's like, "Wait.
1:46
Wait.
1:47
Did you hit the wrong button?
1:48
What exactly happened?"
1:49
Guys, if we deserve a five-star review, please go ahead and leave us five stars wherever
1:54
you are listening to this if you are able to.
1:56
Now, for those of you that can kind of tell and maybe listen to me for a long time, I
2:00
don't sound like I normally do.
2:02
I'm a little bit under the weather.
2:03
I've been under the weather most of this week, so we'll do what I can today to make
2:06
it through, but I'm not really sure if my voice is going to hang on for the long term.
2:10
So we'll just get into this content because it is important, but I may not be able to
2:13
go as long as I normally would.
2:14
But here's the deal.
2:16
On June the 25th of 2021, okay, just a few weeks ago, that was supposed to be a huge,
2:22
huge day, a monumental day, like an earth-shattering, maybe even galaxy-shattering day, right?
2:31
It was supposed to be the day that the United States government was going to tell us that
2:35
we are not alone, right?
2:38
They were supposed to confirm with certainty that these unidentified flying objects that
2:43
people have been seeing or as they're now being called an identified aerial phenomena
2:47
or UAPs, that they were not of this world, but that didn't quite happen, okay?
2:53
So it's taken me a few weeks to get to this content because we've had some other stuff
2:56
that we need to get out to you guys.
2:57
But guys, for months leading up to the release of this, the public was teased about this
3:03
upcoming report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and what it would
3:07
contain in all these reports about UAPs and different things like that.
3:11
And guys, I just got to be honest with you, I was really excited for this because I remember
3:15
I was actually traveling on a speaking gig and I knew that the report was going to be
3:19
coming out at some point during my travels and it was like, "Oh my gosh, I'm going to
3:22
be away from my studio.
3:23
You know, what if I need to record something right then that day because there's some kind
3:27
of big earth-shattering thing?"
3:29
I mean, I was excited about it, to be honest, and I know a lot of people were looking forward
3:32
to it because there were a lot of people, whether you're a conspiracy theorist or whether
3:35
you're just a normal person, there was enough in there to where, or you thought there would
3:39
be enough in this report to at least inform some of the things that you've been thinking,
3:43
right?
3:44
Or inform or maybe change some of the ways that you've been going through things, okay?
3:48
But on June the 25th of 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released
3:54
a report called Preliminary Assessment, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, okay?
3:59
So before I kind of get into what the report says and then obviously we're going to talk
4:03
about what this means for Christians and for Christian thinking, this is kind of what I
4:08
was expecting to happen with this report.
4:11
I was expecting it to be a little bit of a dud, right?
4:14
I don't typically get excited for things.
4:16
I'm typically more pessimistic in my expectations, so if things go really, really well, then
4:20
it's like, "Oh, great."
4:21
You know, I exceeded my expectations because my expectations were so low.
4:25
But I didn't think that the government was just going to just release this, you know,
4:28
thousand-page document showing all these different things and showing, "Oh, we definitely know
4:33
it's not of this world and all these different things," because I just didn't see the U.S.
4:37
government being keen to do something like that.
4:40
So as I wasn't expecting a lot from the report, I guess you could say, but I was expecting
4:45
maybe a little bit more than what we got.
4:46
So the intelligence report said that the United States intelligence, you know, groups of people
4:51
that look at these things, that they cannot explain 143 of the 144 cases a UFO observed
5:00
and reported by military aircraft from the years of 2004 to 2021.
5:06
So again, almost every single one of these cases of UFOs or UAPs as they're now calling
5:12
it, which, by the way, quick side note, if I'm going to use those terms interchangeably
5:16
because the U.S. government or people in charge are really trying to get us to say UAPs now,
5:20
even though for decades we've been saying UFOs, they're talking about the same thing,
5:24
okay?
5:25
They're just trying to remove some of the stigma from when people say UFOs, right, because
5:29
a bunch of crazy people say UFOs, but I'll just use those interchangeably.
5:33
But basically, almost 100% of these cases, they can't explain them.
5:38
The one that they could explain, I think they said it was a weather balloon or something
5:41
that was caught on, you know, military aircraft radar or something like that.
5:44
But over a span of almost 20 years, there's, you know, over a hundred incidences of UAPs
5:49
or UFOs and they just can't quite explain it.
5:52
Now they do put the potential explanations into five different categories, though, okay?
5:57
So the categories are airborne clutter, natural atmospheric phenomena, United States government
6:03
or industry developmental programs, foreign adversary systems or other.
6:08
Okay?
6:09
So to kind of break those down a little bit, airborne clutter, I'm reading this directly
6:11
from the report, airborne clutter.
6:13
These objects include birds, balloons, recreational unmanned aerial vehicles or UAVs or airborne
6:18
debris like plastic bags and that muddle is seen and affect the operator's ability to
6:22
identify true targets such as enemy aircraft.
6:25
Okay?
6:26
So that's that.
6:27
That's atmospheric phenomena.
6:28
So natural atmospheric phenomena includes ice crystals, moisture and thermal fluctuations
6:32
that may register on some infrared and radar systems.
6:35
Then you have United States government or industry development programs, so some UAP observations
6:39
could be attributable to developments and classified programs by U.S. entities.
6:44
We were unable to confirm, however, that these systems accounted for any of the UAP reports
6:48
we collected.
6:49
Okay?
6:50
Then the next one is foreign adversary systems, some UAP may be technologies developed by
6:54
China, Russia, other nations or non-governmental entities, and then other, I was going to go
6:59
and read this to you here.
7:00
Although most of the UAP described in our data set probably remain unidentified due to limited
7:04
data or challenges to collection processing or analysis, we may require additional scientific
7:09
knowledge to successfully collect on, analyze and characterize some of them.
7:13
We would group such objects in this category pending scientific advances that allowed us
7:18
to be to better understand them.
7:19
The UAPTF intends to focus additional analysis on the small number of cases where UAP appeared
7:25
to display unusual flight characteristics or signature management.
7:29
Okay?
7:30
So those are the categories that the United States government has given us for potentially
7:33
explaining these other 143 things that have gone up to this point unexplainable.
7:38
But here's the biggest bummer for nerds and conspiracy theorists alike.
7:43
The report found no evidence whatsoever of any kind of alien life.
7:48
I know, I know, big let down, big disappointment.
7:52
We assumed that there were going to be these green little, you know, non-sexual genitalia
7:58
having beings walk up to the microphone and say, yeah, we've been here the whole time,
8:02
surprise.
8:03
But, you know, nothing of the sort happened.
8:04
But in summary, they don't really know anything in terms of what they've told us and we really
8:10
don't even know how we would be able to know more.
8:13
They were like, look, we don't even know how we would be able to study these things closer.
8:17
We have no freaking idea.
8:19
So there are more questions and answers and at least in terms of what they're releasing,
8:23
that's all that they're going to give us.
8:24
Okay?
8:25
So there was some immediate reaction to the report.
8:27
So the first thing is that a lot of people didn't know this report was coming, right?
8:31
So if you're not plugged into the news or plugged into certain podcasts, maybe you didn't even
8:34
know this report was coming and there was no breaking news anyway.
8:37
So for a lot of people just right over their heads, you know, they weren't even expecting
8:41
it wasn't even that big of a deal.
8:43
But within the conspiracy theorists, their reaction to the report was obviously conspiracy
8:48
cover up, right?
8:49
Because that's all these people know how to say and do is everything that's plausible
8:52
is also probable.
8:54
That's just kind of how these people operate.
8:55
So of course, they were not going to be satisfied with this report.
8:58
And then you have other people that were really completely overwhelmed and alarmed by the
9:04
fact that the United States government didn't know what these things were and a lot of these
9:08
people, maybe their government zealots, maybe they're just like true believers in the United
9:11
States government.
9:12
Because I were probably still walking around, you know, wearing masks because Fauci said
9:15
you got to wear a mask like those people, right?
9:18
They just believe the United States government is capable of everything, taking care of them,
9:23
taking care of their loved ones, doing everything better than they could possibly do themselves.
9:27
They were just overwhelmed that the United States government didn't have all the answers.
9:32
And there were other reactions, but those are the main ones that I saw.
9:35
So the report was essentially a dud, but I do remember the lead up to the release of
9:41
this report causing me personally and some other people in my life to think a lot about
9:47
UFOs and UAPs and specifically alien life forms.
9:51
Because as a Christian, you kind of have to reckon with, well, what do I think about this?
9:57
Sentient, intelligent beings that don't live on this planet, potentially living galaxies
10:01
away or light years away coming and visiting us.
10:04
Like what, what if this is possible?
10:07
Because I kind of had to reckon with that because I didn't want to be caught flat footed
10:10
if the US government said, yes, these are alien life forms.
10:13
These are manned by alien technologies.
10:15
They're not of this world.
10:16
There's no way it could be of this world.
10:18
We don't know what to do with that, right?
10:19
I mean, that's the beginning of a late 80s alien film is essentially what that looks like.
10:24
But in terms of what I thought about aliens and UFOs, let's just kind of talk about a
10:31
little bit of what I thought about all these things prior to this report, because it's
10:33
kind of easy to categorize people that think of aliens and UFOs often or that love these
10:39
types of conspiracy theories and put them in a category of crazy people, right?
10:42
That's kind of easy to do because it's kind of colloquially in our modern culture, we
10:46
can kind of point those people's like, oh, yeah, you were, you were abducted and probed.
10:49
I'm sure you were.
10:50
I'm sure it wasn't just, you know, you were on acid and you drank a lot.
10:53
And then, you know, your friends raped you like, you know, of course, of course, that's
10:56
what happened.
10:57
It was an alien.
10:58
Yeah.
10:59
I even have one of my best friends.
11:00
He's a true believer.
11:01
Basically, if there's a conspiracy theory, he believes it like 100% believes it.
11:05
He has gone on vacation to Roswell, right?
11:07
Like him and his wife, like they actually went on a vacation, specifically to Roswell
11:11
to kind of look at the documents and look at all the stuff, right?
11:14
That's just never been me, right?
11:16
I've never been too terribly concerned about the concept of aliens and, you know, to be
11:21
honest, I never really had to reckon with the fact that they may or may not even exist.
11:25
But if you had to put me in a category, I would say, no, I was not a believer in that, right?
11:29
So that's kind of where I've been.
11:31
But especially with this podcast and because I feel like I have a responsibility to you
11:34
guys, there are certain subjects that I don't really care to spend a lot of time thinking
11:37
about that I will do a lot of thinking about and researching about and reading about so
11:41
that I can try to formulate something to give to you guys because I know a lot of your pastors
11:45
aren't going to sit there and, you know, talk to you about a subject like this, even though
11:48
it may be important to you, right?
11:50
But I want to kind of talk about now that what should Christians think about this report?
11:55
But then specifically, I want to get into what should Christians think about UFOs or UAPs
11:59
and aliens?
12:00
So let's start with the report.
12:02
This report is considered and you can see it right there on the first page of the document
12:05
and every other subsequent page, there's only a nine page document.
12:08
The report says it's unclassified, right?
12:12
Which means there is likely quite a bit we can imagine of information that is still classified,
12:18
okay?
12:20
So I don't presume to be, or I don't, you know, pretend to be an expert in terms of classifications
12:26
and government stuff.
12:27
And, you know, I know some people that work for the military and there's all these different
12:29
levels of classifications and classified and all these different things.
12:33
Again, this was a nine page report of the stuff they were willing to tell us, okay?
12:37
There's got to be a lot of other stuff out there, right?
12:39
So as Christians, we should recognize that, that there is likely truth out there that
12:43
we don't know and that we would likely never know.
12:45
And another thing that we need to think about as Christians is the entrenched bureaucrats
12:49
in charge of all this intelligence gathering, they're not going to release the information
12:54
that they have just to appease the public or Congress, right?
12:58
People like, oh my gosh, you know, whatever the president says or Congress says, like,
13:02
that's what that's what goes, right?
13:04
Not necessarily.
13:06
Like the thing about it is is if you own the intelligence or you, man, the intelligence
13:12
for something this big, you think you're going to hand that to someone that might be in office
13:15
for two years, like people in the house or four years like a president or six years like
13:20
a senator, you're not, you're not just going to hand them the keys to this information.
13:26
There's this idea about the United States government that there's not actually anyone
13:28
that's fully in charge because we know Joe Biden's not even in charge of his own brain
13:31
at this point.
13:32
The dude's basically barely alive, but there's not like one person that's in charge of all
13:36
these dark secrets.
13:37
It's a bunch of different people so that one person can't, you know, be the proprietor
13:41
of all that information, right?
13:43
But this idea that these bureaucrats were just going to like vomit out all this stuff
13:47
was just silly.
13:49
Another thing for us to think about as Christians is there is a chance, maybe even a great chance,
13:55
maybe even the most plausible explanation that this technology that's being seen on
13:59
all these videos I've been talked about on the Joe Rogan experience and you see on this
14:02
website of that website that that technology is ours, the United States governments and
14:07
that we just aren't telling anyone.
14:10
It is fully possible.
14:12
This is not conspiracy theory realm.
14:13
It is fully possible that us as Americans that we have government agencies that are testing
14:21
out, you know, supersonic or whatever technologies that can do all these different crazy things.
14:26
And we haven't told anybody that the joints, the joint chiefs of staff don't know that
14:32
a certainly some pilot in the Air Force doesn't know, right?
14:37
Because if we're going to test these things, wouldn't we test them near us, right?
14:41
In our waters or international waters that we basically have control of, right?
14:46
So there is a chance this technology is ours.
14:48
And again, that would not be something that would just be given out there to everybody.
14:52
Like, Hey, we're just going to give out this information about the crap that we're, you
14:54
know, looking to do so we can say head of China.
14:57
And also this could just be a part of the US government's plan to flex on our enemies,
15:02
right?
15:03
Like that is, that is maybe the most likely thing, right?
15:06
Because let's say that all of these things are fabricated and we just needed people to
15:11
kind of go along with it, whether they're in on it or not.
15:14
But let's say we put something out there that we knew these pilots were going to find, right?
15:18
We knew eventually they were going to find these things and we're going to look at them
15:20
and go, Oh, this is crazy.
15:21
They'll take video of it.
15:22
They'll go on the news.
15:23
Maybe these people were in on it.
15:25
Maybe they're not.
15:26
Who knows?
15:27
But this is just something to say, Hey, we're flexing on you, China.
15:31
We're flexing on you, Russia.
15:32
Hey, North Korea, Iran, pay attention.
15:35
We're so far ahead of you.
15:37
You don't even, you don't even understand how far ahead of you we are.
15:41
And then there's also the idea that this could be another government flexing on us.
15:45
All these things are possible, right?
15:47
So that's what I feel like Christians to think about this report is it doesn't really tell
15:51
us much of anything.
15:52
It does kind of get some of the juices flowing in terms of things that we should be thinking
15:55
about, right?
15:56
So now I want to get specifically into what should Christians think about aliens, UFOs
16:02
and UAPs.
16:03
Okay.
16:04
So I think it's easiest to start with UFOs and UAPs, okay?
16:07
So as Christians, we are to seek truth in all situations, right?
16:11
Jesus is the way, the truth in the life.
16:14
There is truth as Christians.
16:15
We believe that there's no such thing as my truth or your truth.
16:19
We don't think the truth is relative.
16:20
We think that truth is truth.
16:21
Things are either true or they're not, okay?
16:24
So UFOs or UAPs, they either exist or they don't, okay?
16:29
Now what we can see from the different people that have kind of come out and said, hey,
16:32
and these are people that seemingly have unimpeachable character, right?
16:36
You know, they have decades in the military and, you know, why would they lie?
16:39
You know, if you're conspiracy there, so you have a reason why you think that they might.
16:43
But these might be real things, but you do have to ask yourself in terms of these UFOs
16:47
and UAPs, what is more likely, okay?
16:51
That people actually saw UAPs or that they didn't.
16:55
You have to reckon with that question.
16:58
Is it more likely that people actually saw what they saw or that they didn't?
17:02
And when you dig into that question, you know, you can say, hey, these, these people are
17:06
not crazy people.
17:07
They don't, they're not writing a book.
17:08
They're not trying to make money off this.
17:09
They're not trying to get a Netflix deal.
17:11
Like they may, they saw what they saw.
17:14
Then you have to dig a level deeper and say, do they even know what they saw?
17:19
Can they fully explain what they saw in any type of a truth form?
17:24
Can they say without a shadow of a doubt, 100%?
17:27
This is what I saw and this is what it did because a lot of people will look at a situation
17:33
and they think they think that they're looking at it clearly.
17:36
So this might seem like a silly example, but it's just the one that kind of popped into
17:39
my mind.
17:40
So you see people, so there was a story, someone, I forgot the guy's name, but he was on Dan
17:44
Crenshaw's podcast, but he was basically talking about he was flying in first class.
17:47
He was sitting next to Dan Crenshaw because Dan Crenshaw had been upgraded or whatever.
17:51
And he was the only black guy that was in first class and he ended up being the last
17:54
guy served in the first class, you know, cabin area, right?
17:59
So he automatically assumed that it was because he was black, but this individual actually
18:05
asked the stewardess and said, Hey, you know, it, is there a reason as to kind of who you
18:11
serve and kind of in what order and the stewardess basically explained to him, yes, and she kind
18:15
of explained like the how she goes through the cabin and in the most efficient way to
18:19
serve that entire population.
18:21
And he just so happened to be the guy sitting in the seat that was going to be served last.
18:26
So he assumed based on what he saw that he's a black man.
18:30
He's being discriminated against, right?
18:33
But there was a better, there was a better reason for that.
18:36
There was a congressman in Georgia, you know, a state congressman that, you know, was pulled
18:40
over for his front front license plate not being there.
18:44
And for some other infractions suspended license and he automatically assumed it was because
18:47
he was a black guy.
18:48
Okay.
18:49
Again, I know that's not what we're talking about today.
18:51
This isn't another race in America series, but these are people that are seeing things
18:54
with their eyes and they assume that they know exactly what the reason is, right?
18:58
So to kind of, you know, back into what we're talking about right now, these people saw
19:02
something, but they don't know exactly what they saw.
19:06
They don't know exactly how to think through that.
19:08
So what is more likely that they actually saw it or that they didn't?
19:12
And the next thing for us to really reckon with as Christians in terms of UFOs and UAPs
19:15
is what's more likely that these real UAPs were manned by aliens or by humans on this
19:25
earth.
19:27
What's more likely because we love the grandiose thing, right?
19:33
We love the most insane example.
19:35
We love the alien example, right?
19:36
Because, you know, all our favorite movies, you know, they kind of come to us and it's
19:41
like, oh, finally, and if you're conspiracy theorists, and if you're a true believer,
19:44
it's like, oh, this is finally the thing, but what's more likely that these are manned
19:49
by aliens are manned by humans.
19:54
And I would think for us, if we're being honest intellectually, that obviously it's
19:57
more likely that these are manned by humans, whether they're in the device, the phenomena
20:03
or outside of it, right?
20:06
Perhaps there is drone technology and all these different technologies that in when you
20:08
see these people, especially on the Joe Rogan experience or something like that, and they're
20:11
like, oh, you know, this technology is hundreds of years past what we could possibly imagine
20:16
right now.
20:17
Well, yeah, 15 years ago, the iPhone was 20 years beyond what we could possibly or like
20:23
hundreds of years beyond what we could possibly imagine, right?
20:27
So these people, they're just throwing out numbers to sound smart.
20:30
They don't actually know.
20:32
But I'm not as concerned mainly about UFOs and UAPs because I'm assuming there's ways
20:35
for those things to be explained and they're more earthly things that can be explained.
20:38
I want to talk about the concept of aliens, right?
20:40
And again, I'm probably going to give it a little bit short shrift and to be honest with
20:43
you guys leading up to this podcast, I went deep.
20:47
Oh my goodness.
20:48
Like I went way deep into the subject matter.
20:51
I was off in the weeds.
20:53
I couldn't believe some of the stuff that I was reading and listening to like, well, okay,
20:59
I saved you from having to do a lot of that.
21:00
But I tried to bring together and coalesce all these things into something that could potentially
21:05
be cogent enough for you to understand using your reasonable brain.
21:09
Okay.
21:10
So let's just let's talk about aliens, Christians, okay?
21:13
The first thing I want to talk about is the chance of the existence of alien life forms
21:18
is incredibly unlikely, incredibly unlikely, but it's not zero, okay?
21:25
It's not zero because again, we don't know because because I read some Christian blogs
21:31
and watch them Christian videos and different creationist things, all these different things
21:34
and they're like, it's not possible.
21:36
It's not possible that aliens could exist, but these people didn't know that.
21:41
They were arguing that, but they didn't know that and this leads to the next thing is because
21:45
a lot of Christians and most of the arguments I saw, okay?
21:47
They say the Bible doesn't mention aliens explicitly.
21:50
So aliens cannot possibly exist.
21:53
Now I hate that argument.
21:54
I don't like that argument at all and it's not just because it's not a strong argument.
21:58
It's just because it leaves out so many different things because basically if somebody were
22:03
to challenge you on that, it wouldn't take them very long because you know what it doesn't
22:07
mention in the Bible, it doesn't mention microphones, doesn't mention water bottles.
22:13
It doesn't mention hardback books or highlighters or pins or anything.
22:17
It doesn't mention a myriad of things, but those things still exist.
22:23
So if you, if your main argument is the Bible doesn't talk about aliens so they couldn't
22:26
possibly exist, you're opening yourself up to somebody with a seventh grade education
22:31
destroying your argument.
22:33
So I don't like that.
22:35
Now the Bible does a lot of things for us.
22:37
It informs a lot of things.
22:38
So I've used this example before.
22:40
The Bible doesn't describe nuclear weapons, but it doesn't form us how they should be
22:44
used more than likely, right?
22:46
You can surmise things from scripture and apply that to weaponry.
22:50
You can apply it to a myriad of different subject matters, right?
22:54
So I don't like that argument, okay?
22:56
The argument just falls apart way too easily, okay?
22:59
Because this is where I would probably go with something like this.
23:03
God could have created other life forms in his image or even not in his image and not
23:10
explicitly told us about it in the Bible.
23:13
Now I don't think that that's incredibly likely, but it's at least possible, right?
23:19
It's possible.
23:22
And for us as Christians, the potential existence of aliens changes nothing about what the scripture
23:29
tells us about God's ultimate creation, which is us human beings going right back to Genesis.
23:37
Because these things, and I know these arguments make people uncomfortable, but they're not
23:42
able to be completely eradicated.
23:44
The argument that these aliens, these potentially sentient beings or something like that, they
23:49
could just be other animals, right?
23:51
They're like cosmic giraffes or zebras or something like that, right?
23:54
Again, I don't necessarily agree with these arguments, but these are arguments that can't
23:58
fully be destroyed.
24:00
So the potential existence of them doesn't really change a whole lot for us because here's
24:05
the big thing that I saw, especially when I was going through stuff in the Christian
24:08
space, is that a lot of people were assuming that the entire knowledge of God, because
24:16
you have to assume the entire knowledge of God to assume that he would tell us everything
24:23
about everything.
24:26
Because when you say, hey, the Bible doesn't say it, so it couldn't be there, you're assuming
24:29
that God put the entire knowledge of the entire universe into the Bible.
24:34
And I'm not talking bad about the Bible by any stretch of the imagination.
24:39
It just doesn't describe everything that's ever been created.
24:42
Like, it's not a reference book for all of creation.
24:46
It would be impossible for this Bible to have all those things in it.
24:53
It's just not, it's not thick enough, it's just not possible, right?
24:57
And so that's the thing that I want people to kind of understand is we want to go into
25:02
these moments where we make these grandiose statements, where we assume that we have the
25:07
key, like we have the decoder ring to kind of explain everything in the universe, and
25:11
we simply don't.
25:13
And I think there's a beauty in that because again, the human brain is very limited.
25:19
It is, it is vast and incredible, but is an incredibly limited thing.
25:24
So could we possibly even handle the knowledge of God?
25:27
Scripture tells us we can't even handle seeing God in somehow we can just handle everything
25:32
that he's ever done in creation.
25:35
It's silly.
25:37
So to kind of bring this into, into summary, there's a lot of things I want to kind of
25:39
throw at you is the first thing is that just because something as plausible doesn't mean
25:43
it's probable.
25:44
That's mainly to those you'd be out there that are, you know, taken in by a lot of conspiracy
25:48
theorists or conspiracy theories, rather, you think that something is probable just because
25:54
it's plausible.
25:55
And I know some people that I love personally, I love these men.
25:59
I would do anything for them, right?
26:01
But they believe that 9/11 was an inside job because it's plausible.
26:07
Even though it's highly unlikely and makes almost no sense on any planet, they think
26:11
that the United States government murdered thousands of its own citizens just so that
26:14
they can get into a 20 plus year war over in the Middle East over oil or something, right?
26:20
That the arguments always fall apart and end up going into rabbit trails.
26:22
But you know, whatever, just because something's plausible doesn't mean it's probable.
26:26
That should be easy to kind of come up with in your own brain, but a lot of people just
26:30
struggle with that.
26:31
The next thing is just because we can't explain it doesn't mean it can't be explained.
26:37
So that's always a thing.
26:38
That's always the someone says, Oh, and we can't even explain where this came from.
26:42
Ooh, like that's supposed to like, you know, shake us all to our core.
26:47
Oh, well, you can't explain why something like that happened.
26:49
Well, it is explainable.
26:51
And I can already hear people right now that are kind of on the more atheistic sites like
26:54
well, Kyle, you say that, you know, when when someone is miraculously healed from cancer
26:59
or some other physical ailment, that that's probably God is probably a miracle.
27:03
Yes, but I also believe that God created the physical world and created a means by which
27:08
we can explain the physical world and the things that happen therein.
27:12
That's science.
27:14
I don't believe that Christianity or faith in God in science are two things that can't
27:18
be beside one another.
27:20
I think that they're all intertwined.
27:22
God gave us the means by which to explain his tremendous creation, right?
27:28
So just because we can't explain it right now doesn't mean it's not explainable.
27:32
And also, just because we don't understand it, it doesn't automatically mean that it's
27:36
not of this world.
27:39
That's the thing is immediately where people are like, Oh, 143 or 144 things can't be explained.
27:44
So obviously it's alien technology.
27:47
It's like, did you just skip over like 74 steps before you just went straight to?
27:53
Yeah, probably aliens.
27:55
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy for a lot of people.
27:57
They just they they want it to be true.
27:59
So that's where they're going.
28:00
They're going to put all the effort into doing that, but guys, just because we don't understand
28:05
it right now doesn't automatically mean that it's not of this world.
28:09
There are things again, there have been, you know, rocks found on this planet that were
28:13
from other planets, right?
28:15
You know, maybe a meteor hit Mars and then shot some stuff into the atmosphere and it
28:19
eventually trickles down and hits Earth.
28:21
Like those are things that we can actually explain.
28:23
But just because we can't explain some sort of phenomena that comes up on an Air Force
28:27
guys radar doesn't mean that it's an alien.
28:30
But guys, for those of you that have hung on, this is the main crux of all of this.
28:34
And to be honest, this is just something that I kind of came to recently and I'm actually
28:38
a little bit embarrassed that I didn't really come to this realization well before the time
28:41
that I did.
28:43
But it's this, even if there are aliens, right, which again, I don't think that there are.
28:50
Even if there are aliens.
28:52
That changes nothing about the salvation that is offered by Jesus's sacrifice.
29:00
Changes nothing.
29:03
God still sent Jesus to earth, put him in the womb of a virgin.
29:09
He lived a perfect, sinless life in his early thirties began his earthly ministry, right?
29:16
His public earthly ministry.
29:19
He still had his 12 apostles.
29:22
He was still framed by the Jewish authorities.
29:28
He was still murdered by the Roman authorities.
29:32
He was put on the cross.
29:34
He died and three days later, he rose again and he was seen by hundreds of people after
29:40
he had been resurrected and he was sent here to die and was resurrected for our benefit.
29:48
Okay.
29:50
So your belief in aliens, right, or UFOs or whatever is not a salvific issue, right?
29:56
Unless you're going way off the deep in which I did find some of those people, right?
29:59
So for most of you, your opinion, one way or the other doesn't change anything.
30:03
It certainly doesn't change the reality of what Jesus came here to do.
30:09
And so I don't think a lot of you guys should be supremely worried about this because let's
30:12
say it's full on it.
30:13
I don't watch a whole lot of science fiction, but pick your favorite science fiction film
30:16
about, you know, aliens coming here to destroy everything, right, Independence Day, whatever
30:20
that is.
30:21
First one I can think of, right?
30:23
Even if that were to happen, you know, we have aliens, you know, coming on these death
30:26
star like ships, we have coming out of the ocean, which is what some people think that
30:30
they're down the ocean, like, you know, taking care of business down there.
30:33
And let's say they're here to take over, right?
30:37
Does that mean Jesus didn't come?
30:40
Does that mean that we no longer have to abide by what the Bible tells us in terms of what
30:47
is right and wrong?
30:49
Does that mean that the resurrection didn't happen?
30:52
All the arguments that you know and all the historicity around the resurrection of Jesus
30:56
Christ from Nazareth, does all that just not exist anymore?
31:00
Again, this is a popular thing for people to talk about and to be obsessed about, but
31:04
it changes nothing.
31:07
It's a fun topic to talk about, but it changes nothing.
31:10
All right, guys, before we let you go, we are going to do a quick resilience boost at undaunted
