I'm your host, Kyle Thompson. Let's get into it. All right. Well, a lot of people predicted it and then it actually happened, but it was actually worse than anyone thought was possible. So, all of the experts predicted a blue wave in the 2026 midterms, but instead we got a blue tsunami. That's basically the only way you can talk about it. Blue hurricane, blue F5 tornado, however you want to look at it. It was an absolute bloodbath for Republicans last night. And we still have some votes being counted as we're even discussing this right now. And it's only going to get worse for Republicans. It's not going to all of a sudden turn and get better. And I just got to say it. I I heard a lot of people talking about, well, the polls are wrong. The polls are always wrong and the polls showing that the the Republicans are going to get wiped out. You know, they're just wrong. They always do this to us. Apparently, [clears throat] they got it right. So, the polling industry lives to fight another day is one way that you could say it. If anything, the only thing the polls got wrong is that they underestimated how good the Democrats were going to do last night. And so, just to kind of give you a recap, we're not going to do a full breakdown of all the different races, but we do want to do a reaction of what happened and what we saw last night because there's a lot of wailing and nashing of teeth going on right now. So, trying to give a little bit perspective to people. But just about everyone predicted before last night that the Democrats would take control of the United States House of Representatives. They did so. They flipped at least 26 seats from Republican to Democrat. I'm recording this early the morning after the midterms. So, I'm recording recording this early on November the 4th. Some of the ballots are still being counted, like I said, which is just kind of ridiculous. Like, how do we still live in a system where we have to continually count ballots over days and weeks and months and all those types of things. But anyway, we'll complain more about that on another day. But all we know is that all of the gains that the Democrats made are solidified and steady and but they may actually even gain more seats in the United States House of Representatives. But then leading up to the midterms, most people gave Democrats a really great shot of taking the Senate. They weren't outright saying it's definitely going to happen, but the betting markets, a lot of the political pundits said that this is likely going to happen. But the Democratic candidates for the United States Senate absolutely dominated last night. They dominated. They flipped seven Republican Senate seats blue. Texas, South Carolina, Kansas, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, and Maine. But now we need to talk about the governor's races. So, the Democrats flipped, excuse me, the Democrats flipped uh five governor's mansions blue. They picked up Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, and Nevada. And there were a lot of surprises last night. Some some people predicted some of this, but there were some surprises that even though everyone thought Democrats were going to have a good night, they just didn't know it was going to be this good. And I can remember the first sign that I knew that the blue tsunami was coming was when South Carolina Senate race was called for Annie Andrews, the Democrat, to beat Darlene Graham. That was a shock. And then in Maine, we had the Rhino Susan Collins, a longtime fixture of Maine politics. She got beat by Democrat Troy Jackson. In Ohio, Sherid Brown or Sherrod Brown, he staged a comeback and beat Republican John Houston. In Iowa, Democrat Josh Turk defeated sitting US Representative Ashley Henson for Iowa's open Senate seat. And then also with that, Democrats flipped three of Iowa's four congressional districts. In Kansas, a wolf in Sheep's clothing quote unquote pastor named Adam Hamilton defeated the incumbent Republican Roger Marshall. This is the first Democratic candidate uh Democratic Kansas senator since 1932, almost a hundred years. And also maybe the the biggest and most concerning shock of the night is apparently you can mess with Texas because James Tarico won. He is now the United States senator representing the state of Texas. This ended a 30 something year drought uh for statewide federal office in Texas. And then someone named Gina Henosa Heno Josa. I have no idea how to say her last name because I didn't know she existed until last night. She beat three time incumbent governor of Texas, Greg Abbott. And neither race was close. And you know what all these states that I just mentioned have in common except for Maine. Trump won all of those states comfortably just two years ago. So remember how you felt two years ago around this time, right? you felt unbburdened by what may be or something like that and you had this big red wave and all that. Well, we're on the other side of it right now. But there was at least one bright spot, at least for me. Oklahoma did its job. I don't know what's going on in the rest of the country, but we we know what we're doing here on this precious red clay because Republican Mike Maisy won 52% of the vote to become the next governor of the state of Oklahoma, beating Cindy Mson, who got 45.9% of the vote. So, I did an entire episode on Cindy Mson a couple of weeks back. Very, very important. Listen for those of you to go back, even if you don't live in Oklahoma, I gave you a lot of reasons why that race was very, very important. But, but the funny thing about it is if you looked at my Facebook feed, which I don't go on Facebook, but maybe once every few days, you would have thought Cindy Mson was going to win 99% of the vote here in the state of Oklahoma. I mean, my feed is basically all people that went to the University of Central Oklahoma and people that I grew up with in Lton, Oklahoma and went to school with. And so Cindy Mson and I have basically the same friend pool, but person after person after person was voting for Cindy Mson and posting about how great it was that they were voting for Cindy Mson. And I'm a Republican. I'm a Christian. But also, I'm going to vote for a woman that wants to make sure that there's no chance that babies living inside the womb that have murderous intent mothers will be able to survive. We want to make sure that boys can play girl sports and use the bathrooms in those facilities. We want to make sure that illegal immigrants find safe haven here in the state of Oklahoma. We want to make sure that a woman who has never been married and has no kids is going to make decisions that will affect families in Oklahoma for at least the next four years. Apparently, OK's just weren't down for all of that. The one thing I do want to kind of correct in the the episode that I did say, I said that Maisie should win by 20 points. If it's under 15 points, it'll be a miracle. Literally like 2 days after that happened, the first major poll was released publicly showing Maisie plus four. I was like, "Yep, how about that? Ain't that something?" So, yeah, I did kind of overshoot uh that I thought Maisie would win. Again, he won comfortably, but it was still kind of weird. I know it was a great night for Democrats and I'm sure Cindy Mson experienced a little bit of that uh even here in Oklahoma. I said, you know, she wasn't planning on winning this race. She certainly didn't win this race. She's going to continue being the minority leader in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. I said she was probably going to go back into the nonprofit world or do something like that. But with her being not really within striking distance, you know, she lost by what, six or seven points, maybe she runs again here in four years and we just have to do this whole rigomearroll over again. I did talk to an insider in Oklahoma City politics and he basically said one of the big things that shot Cindy Mson in the foot is that she's single, 41 years old, never married, no kids. And that's just weird if you're in Oklahoma. We love our families here in Oklahoma like a lot of people are at least tangentially, you know, country music theology Christian. And when you have somebody that's hanging out [clears throat] with drag queens and believes basically everything that AOC does and also doesn't have a family that she can point to, that becomes an issue. But he said, "Look, if she just was married, but certainly if she was married and had a kid, she would have done much, much better, especially outside of Tulsa and Oklahoma City, especially in the rural areas. But that didn't work out for her. And I'm glad for the state of Oklahoma that it didn't. But now shifting back to the national politics, we have to look at why did the body politic in the United States swing so far to the left? I mean, who who's to blame for all of this?" Now, you can't really hang this on any one person, but first and foremost, you've got to blame Donald Trump, don't you? Because he was given a mandate a couple of years ago, an overwhelming victory. He got all the swing states. The the people said, "We're done with the Biden administration. We have no we don't want anything to do with Kla Harris." And by God, Donald Trump, we're giving you your political comeback. And then what has he done with it? I mean, name name the big piece of legislation that has gone through. Name name the great thing that the Trump administration has accomplished in the last two years. Donald Trump individually has a historically low approval rating, right? Which again, people generally don't like him anyway, but it's historically low. Again, there's no positive or major legislative accomplishments. And then he launched a what ended up being a disastrous disastrous tariff war against the entire world, including many of our allies. And then he helped launch a hot war in Iran and specifically with the war in Iran. Like if you're one of those people that says, you know, he's in control of the Jews and Netanyahu is like making him do all these things, you're you're too dumb to talk to. But at the same time, it doesn't look good, does it? Because again, I'm in this world all day, every day, right? Politics, new cycle, culture, society, all the things. But what about the guy that's just trying to fill up his diesel truck right now? What What was diesel? five, six bucks a gallon, right? What about the mom, the single mom with three kids that's just trying to make ends meet and she's going to the grocery store and she has to decide between milk, bread, and eggs. She used to be able to get all three. Now she can only afford one because Republicans just kind of like waved their hand over the affordability stuff, but cost of living, specifically gas and groceries, absolutely crushed people. And the tariff war really led to that and the war in Iran really led to that. Now, if we end up winning the war in Iran in the next year or two, perhaps that's to the redounding benefit of humanity at large. But at the same time, to what cost to what we're experiencing here in this country, but also if you look at this, a lot of voters said they were really concerned about government corruption. Now, I'll say this. There [clears throat] were people, including prominent pastors, including prominent pastors that have been on the show that love to talk about government corruption right now. Boy, do they want to talk about corruption. They want to talk about Trump. They want to talk about his kids. They want to talk about the things going on the administration. Didn't hear boo from any of you during the Biden administration. Didn't hear you talk about the fact that he preemptively pardoned his whole family on the way out the door. How he pardoned Fouchy. How didn't hear anything cuz you were scared to punch left. But now when it's convenient to punch MAGA, you punch MAGA. Sorry, I don't think that makes you courageous, right? But me, a guy that calls balls and strikes, a guy that's very open about my leanings and the things, you know, the directions that I want society to go, I can punch left and right. [clears throat] If people in the Trump administration are corrupt, if they're embezzling money, if they're doing any of these nefarious things, I want them to be held accountable. Now you try saying that. [clears throat] See, you see what I just did there? I wanted all the Biden people to be held accountable and I also want the Trump people to be held accountable. I don't have a different standard because I voted for the guy that wears the red tie, right? So perhaps you can try that in the future. Also, when we look at reasons for why this happened, key demographics shifted away from the Republicans big time. So they made inroads inroads and gains with Hispanics a couple years ago that basically got washed out. Young voters were already shifted towards Democrat. They went even further that way. Young males, which were shifted towards Republicans, have shifted back towards Democrat uh Democrats. And it's really going to take weeks, if not months, to really kind of go through all the data to see kind of what happened. But all we know is all the major demographics shifted away from the Republicans in this race. But a lot of people, they were talking about this before the midterms even kicked off, but what does this mean for 2028? So if you are, you know, a political person, you were basically looking at 2028 as already being bad for the Republicans. It didn't look great, especially in the Senate, but now it looks really, really, really bad because the Democrats are going to have at least a five seat majority in the Senate, and it looks like Republicans could lose even more seats in the Senate. Uh it'd be hard to lose more House seats, but that could certainly happen as well. And so, this just doesn't bode well for 2028. So, what happens now? Here we are. We saw the blood bath. We saw the tsunami. What's going to happen now? Well, for [clears throat] the next two years, there's going to be no big legislation, right? Anything that the House and Senate approve is going to be vetoed by Trump. Anything that Trump pushes is not going to be allowed by the Congress. Uh Trump will not get any appointments through. You know, it's crazy. It's been two years and there's still some of his appointments that have been hung up. The Democrats are going to probably impeach everybody. I I was trying to think like, will they actually impeach Trump cuz he's a lame duck? you don't want to turn him into a martyr because the Mara Lago raid kind of made people go towards Trump more, you know, being arrested and, you know, the the mug shot, you know, sent people more towards Donald Trump. But at this point, I think they're just ready to blow the whole thing up. I think [clears throat] they're going to impeach uh, you know, JD Vance. I think they're going to impeach the cabinet. They're really just going to get these people in front of congressional microphones and cameras and and, you know, try to trap them and do all those different things. So, it's going to be a circus for the next two years. Uh, I think Trump will pull a Biden and preemptively pardon everyone before he leaves office. I hate even saying that, but I'm I'm pretty much guaranteeing you that it's going to happen. And then this is going to happen a little down the line. We certainly have to reckon with this. But the Supreme Court of the United States is so important, right? Thank God Trump got three appointees. Now, they haven't been solidly conservative, but it's better than whatever the Democrats would have put in. But justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alo, who are the only two solidly conservative justices on the Supreme Court, by the way, you can pretty much predict exactly how they're going to vote on everything. If either one of them die or retire, they will be replaced by a flaming liberal for sure because um uh Governor Dantis down in Florida, he was actually talking about this. He's like, look, you know, depending upon how things are going, we're not going to see any movement on on Scotas. you know, maybe into the well into the 2030s in terms of anything like Thomas or Aloto being replaced by a conservative, right? And we'll talk a little bit more about Scotas here in a little bit, but I have some random thoughts on a lot of different areas. So, former Senate Majority Leader John Thuna, South Dakota, I think he will go down, again, everyone's being very hyperbolic uh since last night, but I think he's going to go down as the worst Senate Majority Leader in Republican history. What did he do? The Republicans needed to get essentially one thing done legislatively over the last two years and that was the Save America Act which was going to make sure that voting in this country could stay as fair as possible. Right? And they didn't get it done. They had the votes in the House. Trump would have obviously signed it. He pushed to sign it. Never even came up for a vote in the Senate. Why? Why did it not come up for a vote in the Senate? not a great explanation for it and it could red down to our >> [clears throat] >> uh it could be terrible for us as it as it comes into the next few years as we see. And then another random thought is I guess candidate quality does in fact matter because a lot of people were like ah you know it's going to be fine in this state or that state we can just run just about anybody but that wasn't the case. Look at Ken Paxton in Texas terrible candidate. Excuse me. And I don't think that Cornin would have done much better last night because he also wasn't a good candidate. And then you had Lindsey Graham's sister Darlene running in South Carolina. [sighs and gasps] I know this is going to be hard for some Republicans to hear, but even in a place like South Carolina, which is usually solidly read, if your best pitch for why you should get the job is my brother was a good senator that you liked, maybe that's not going to have the impact on the electorate that you want. Then you have VC Ramoswami in Ohio. Again, I think VC should do a podcast, right? I don't think he should run for office because there were a lot of people like, "Oh man, I liked him for president, but surely he's going to win in Ohio." He got bludgeoned. That was it. It should have been a very, very tight race. VC really should have won in Ohio, which was supposed to be solidly red, and he lost by a considerable margin. And then you have Roger Marshall in Kansas. He was the incumbent, but just kind of like a limp wrist Republican there. So, Republicans, when you put up bad candidates, and what was the the lady in uh Arizona that basically like ran for every single office, right? The Carrie Lake, she ran for every office in Arizona and lost every single time. It's like, well, yeah, stop running crappy candidates and you won't get bad results, right? Another random thought, everyone's talking about Texas, right? And for good reason. If Texas goes solidly purple, the country is likely finished. But if Texas goes solidly blue, the United States of America is definitely finished. It's over. And here's the reality. Obviously, they they flipp the governor's mansion. They got a Democratic senator. But if in subsequent elections the Democrats have Texas and that number of electoral votes in play, there's basically not a map available of states that Republicans can win to get them to what they need to keep the White House. If Texas flips, the country flips, right? And some of you are like, "Well, I live here and it shouldn't be that way." Well, it it just is that way, right? So, you live in Oklahoma or Tennessee or, you know, Florida or Georgia or one of those places and you think, "Oh, things are going to be fine." Well, Georgia's not fine. What do they got? They got a Democratic two Democratic senators and Democratic governor. But Texas is that important because of its population and because of its pool as a solidly red state. Now, this is going to make some of you uncomfortable, but just keep your brains on as I'm talking about this because we've got to be able to be adults and we've got to be able to hold some ideas in tension and we've got to be able to talk about things that are literally happening. But if Texas continues to become less white and less Christian, odds are that it will indeed become a reliably blue state. Because there's an NBC exit poll that came out from last night. There were only two cohorts of people that leaned Republican. White men and white women. White men were plus 23 Republican. White women were plus 13 Republican. Everyone else Democrat. Latino men plus 19 Democrat. Latino women plus 42 Democrat. Black men plus 77 Democrat. Black women plus 84 Democrat. All others plus 10 Democrat. Okay. So, there are certainly some issues there if Texas turns blue. And the issue is is that the country is basically finished. Another random thought is that Marco Rubio is likely the only Republican capable of keeping the Democrats out of the White House in 2028 in my estimation. A lot of you big JD Vance people, but the stain of Vance or the stain of Trump is going to get all over Vance because he's his VP, right? Whereas Marco Rubio, you know, he's done such a good job as the Secretary of State and the other 14 jobs that he has all at the same time. Even Democrats are like, "Yeah, this Rubio dude, he he's pretty good." But Marco Rubio has said publicly that if JD Vance runs for president that he will not run for president. I hope he reigs on that. I hope he goes back on that because I think Rubio is the only Republican that I think has a really good shot of beating whoever the Democrats put up in 2028. But even as I say that, another random thought is I think the Democrats will likely take the White House in 2028. That's just where the trends are going, right? And I'm actually going to give you my prediction here in a little bit about who that will be. And when the Democrats take over the White House while they simultaneously have the control of the House and the Senate, here are some things that you can expect, right? And this is not doomsday, you know, uh, predictions or anything like that. This isn't prophecy. This is just reality because they're saying the quiet part out loud now. They're going to expand and stack the Supreme Court. So, they're going to add seats to the Supreme Court and put their Kintanji Brown Jacksonish kind of people on there. They're going to make the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico states. And so, they will automatically get however many more House members and four more senators, right? Which will give them super majorities. Probably they will move [clears throat] to nuke the filibuster, right? As a lot of people predicted. If the Republicans aren't going to do it, the Democrats are definitely going to do it. That's not me saying I wish the Republicans had done it. I'm just saying the Democrats are very, very likely going to do that. They're also likely going to cram down national voting laws to ensure future Democratic victories. So basically what Republicans were supposed to do with the Save America Act, the Democrats are just going to flat out do it. And guys, they're going to come for your guns. Every time there's an election that goes like how last night went, gun stores basically get bought out of everything, right? And there's good reason for that cuz they're basically signaling to you. They know that they can't get any of these things done unless they can keep you from fighting back. Now, this is not my, you know, this isn't me saying, "Hey, I really want to be on some sort of FBI watch list or whatever because I'm like starting a militia." That's not what I'm saying. But I'm just letting you guys know, look at the countries where there have been communist takeovers. And what do all those countries have in common? the populace had their firearms, had their weapons removed from them, right? So, it certainly makes sense that the Democrats will move for that if they get the White House in 2028. But in terms of the outcomes from last night, there are three outcomes that are the most shocking and the most damning. And the first is someone I haven't mentioned yet, and that's Abdul Rahham Muhammad El Say. He is now the United States senator representing the state of Michigan. Can you believe I just said that name with that title? So, uh, in terms of last night, the [clears throat] biggest winner might be the Red Green Alliance. So, red, you know, communist socialists, right? And green Islam because Al is the first Muslim United States senator. But he's not just a Muslim, is he? Because there are people that you likely know that are Muslims. They don't read the Quran. They don't read the hadith. They're not on al-Qaeda's email list [clears throat] because they're not Islamists. They don't like terrorism. They don't support it. But Elsa does. A lie was made about his familial connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. This man is not just a moderate Muslim, whatever that is. He is an Islamist. I mean, you want to talk about tea taking hold. Teaya being the concept where Muslims are encouraged to lie to the infidel. They're encouraged to pretend to assimilate into different areas and just wait until the moment to strike. He's one of 100 United States senators now. And because here's the thing, it's one thing to have like rabid Islamists like Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar in the House, but that's the House of Representatives. It it turns over every two years. It's the less serious of the two branches or the you know the two parts of Congress. But El say being in the Senate that that really feels like judgment on our nation, does it not? It really feels that way because this is a man that believes such horrible things. He's willing to tutt the communists and the LGBTQ plus people just long enough until he gets into a position of power. And who's to say he stops at the United States Senate? So he was obviously a very shocking and damning electoral outcome for us to watch. And the other one is is pretty obvious. It's James Tarico winning the Senate seat in Texas. Now going into yesterday, it was a coin flip. If you looked at the polling, the betting markets, basically everything was toss up 50/50. Terico ended up winning by over 10 points. He won by almost a million votes in Texas. How in the world did this happen? Well, first it's a referendum on Trump, which every midterm election after a general election is a referendum on the in the party that won, right? And we've seen swings like this, especially in the House. Uh you know, we've seen this after, you know, Biden, after Obama, like after after Trump won. We've seen all this. [sighs] Another reason is Paxton was a train wreck. Terrible candidate and apparently terrible awful person. Also, the democrat the demographic shifts because of legal and illegal immigration into the state of Texas. That's obviously something that had an impact here. And something that I've talked about for years at this point, the influx of liberals from liberal hell holes. So, your company that has a thousand employees is in California and you're like, "Cal sucks. We're moving to Austin. We're moving to San Antonio. We're moving to Houston." Well, most of those blue-haired liberals came with you. Even if they don't have blue hair, they would love to have it. And so what they didn't do is leave their liberal leanings and voting patterns behind when they came to the state of Texas or to Tennessee or to Florida, but specifically talking about the state of Texas, you had tremendous influxes into these major population centers, specifically Dallas, DFW, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, these areas. And then you're not expecting different outcomes electorally. But here's one. This should really hit everybody right in the stomach. Christians stayed home. Christians stayed home in a big way in the state of Texas. In the 2022 midterms, 24% of evangelicals voted. In 2026, last night, only 17% of evangelicals [snorts] voted. Those numbers hold true in Texas, by the way. And as I've said before on this show, I've said this in the Daily Blade, the Shama applies to the political sphere and political realm. How is it possible to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and not take that same ideology with you into the voting booth? Because there are a lot of people that would love to continue to convince soft-headed Christians that Yeah. Yeah. do all that Christian stuff like in your house or or maybe in your like place of worship which probably has an LGBTQ flag wrapped around the cross like yeah do that do that stuff over there just don't bring it into my politics, right? And you're like, "Oh yeah, that that makes total sense." Even though every other person is going into the voting booth with their full ideology and philosophy intact, you're supposed to leave your Christian worldview behind. And Christians stayed home. And to be honest with you, the pastors that did not encourage their flocks to vote, you're derelicting your duties. What are you doing? Am I saying that you need to put your ballot up on the screen and say vote like this or you're going to hell? Obviously not. But at the same time, why in the world would you not encourage them to go to the polls? Even at my church, which is not a very political church, our pastor Mark Hitchcock, which is about as straight down the fairway pastor as you can get, expository preaching, we're going to do a verse or two every Sunday. He took two or three minutes at the beginning of his sermon this past Sunday to basically say, "Hey, make sure you go and vote. This is very, very important. It's your Christian duty to go and vote." He didn't endorse a candidate. He didn't bring Mike Maisy up on on, you know, to the pulpit to give a five-minute sermon, but he said basically go and take care of business, right? But apparently a lot of Christians and a lot of pastors just didn't get the message. But I actually want to go back to something before I leave the subject of James Tarico. If you go all the way back to episode 896 of this podcast, it was on March the 26th of this year. This was right after James Taler Rico beat Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary. This was 7 months ago, guys. I want you to watch this clip and hear what I said back then. And here's the thing. As I've said many times, I think Terico has a great shot of winning the US Senate race. I'm not guaranteeing that he will, but I think he has an incredibly good shot, especially if people stay silent. And if he does win the Senate seat in Texas, I will go ahead and make a bold prediction for you. Okay. If he wins the Senate seat in Texas, he will turn around and immediately run for president in 2028. And I'm telling you right now, he will represent the Democratic party in the general election in 2028. I'm I I'm telling you, if he wins the Senate seat, he's going to win the Democratic primary and represent the Democratic party in the general election. Okay? It's going to be very much like what Obama did. Obama got elected into a Senate seat in Illinois and in less than two years he was running for president and he won beating Hillary Clinton. And the reason why he won is because he was safe for the whole family. He had the posture of a a a good politician and a good statesman, right? He spoke well and he got everybody [clears throat] on his side. And Hillary Clinton was awful, right? She was the era parent, but no one really liked her, right? No one really liked her when she ran for uh ran against Trump either again that's why she lost. She seems to be an awful person, right? And here's the thing. The reason why I think James Tarico, who if you go look at the betting markets, he's nowhere. He's nowhere on the betting markets for who's going to represent the Democratic party in the general election in 2028. Again, it's way too early. We're going to have people surge into that. But no one likes the current crop of Democratic candidates. You have California Governor Gavin Newsome. He's a he's a flip-flopper. He's kind of skezy. California is a trash heap. You have Alexandria Okaziocortez. She's one of the dumber individuals in Congress, which is saying something. It's like a running gun battle between her and Jasmine Crockett. You have former South Bin, Indiana Mayor Pete Buddhajes. Like he's his most electable quality, according to Democrats, is that he chooses to have sex with men, right? You have Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. He's a Jew. So that's a major problem for that party, which is incredibly anti-Semitic. You have former Democratic presidential candid candidate Kla Harris, which big- time lol. if she runs again, that would be just spectacular. So, there really aren't a lot of great options here on the Democratic bench. So, a guy like Terico, especially if you win Texas, could surge big time. And that's the thing in politics, especially in modern America, is there's always big swings. So, it's not a foregone conclusion in the Republican party that JD Vance will take the ball and run with it after Trump is out of office. You know, and unfortunately, Marco Rubio, who I was supporting in the 2016 election, he has publicly stated that he will not run for president if JD runs. And barring some kind of catastrophe, JD Vance is going to run for president. So, if the pendulum is swinging hard to the left during the 2028 political season, James Tarico, a died in the wool wolf in sheep's clothing, could be the next president of the United States. So, I love being right, but there are times when I absolutely hate being right. And this is one of those moments, right? The moment he beat Jasmine Crockett, I could see the writing on the wall. I could see how low discernment people in Texas, independents, so-called independence, Christians, so-called Christians would be romanced by this guy. But I'm going to go ahead and give you a prediction right now. So, I want you to remember this. I'm telling you, barring something unexpected or catastrophic, James Terico will be the next president of the United States of America. He will be. And if you think I'm crazy, go back to 2006, which is when Barack Obama would have been elected to the United States Senate. before he was elected to the United States Senate, when you looked at, you know, polling predictions for who was going to represent the Democrats on the general election ticket for president in 2008. He was nowhere to be found. He was an unknown entity to national politics. And in about, I don't know, 6 months to a year, he decides, ah, senator is cool. I mean, I'm not really doing anything other than writing my third or fourth memoir. I'm not certainly writing any legislation. I think I'll run for president. Beats Hillary Clinton, beats John McCain, and then four years later beats Mitt Romney, and he becomes a two-term president. Okay? He was on nobody's radar, but there was no clear number one going into 2008. James Tarico is going to run the exact same playbook. Now, Barack Obama kind of pretended to be Christian back in those days, but Taler Rico is coming straight at you. And again, we live in such a low discernment time in history and time in our culture. And even people that consider themselves to be Christians don't read the Bible. And because they don't read the Bible at all, and they don't know what it says, they just think they know what it says. When James Terico says things that are clearly not biblical, they can't spot the lie. And if he can do that in Texas, you're telling me he can't do that across the rest of the country? Because Democrats know how to fall in line. They know how to vote for their guy. So California is never going to be in play. Illinois is never going to be in play. New York's never going to be in play. You tell me a guy like James Tarico can't win Texas in the general election. Tell me he can't win Florida. I'd say it's not likely. But you're telling me that he can't flip Florida, can't flip Tennessee, can't solidify and flip Ohio, can't flip Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania's purple, tell you right now. And and the Governor Shapiro is just basically going to fall in line there. The Democrats aren't going to put him at the top of the ticket because he's Jewish. Again, I'm telling you that guy is going to be the next president of the United States. Remember I said that. And then the other most surprising and shocking thing, the last one that we'll talk about is something that most people aren't talking about because they got wrapped around the axle on the Michigan races and the Texas race or whatever race is going on in their city or state, Virginia. They voted to allow for abortion up to the moment of birth. Now, praise God, in Idaho, that was on the ballot and it was rejected, right? But in Virginia now, there is a pathway for women in the third trimester to murder their children while in the womb. Just think about that. The people of Virginia voted and said, "Yes, we want that." And yeah, you can read the the, you know, the law and you can read all these different things say, "Oh, well, this may have been confusing and all that." No, the electorate wasn't confused. This wasn't like what happened in Florida a while back where they like purposefully introduced confusion into uh the law to kind of make people accidentally vote the wrong way or something like that. That's not what happened here. It was clear. The Virginia law, the wording, the language was clear. It gives women in the third trimester the ability to murder their children if they want to. and they'll cloak it under language of, oh, you know, it's health of the mother and health of this and thing and whether or not the the fetus is viable and all those different things, but this is where pro-choice leads. A lot of people get big mad when I say pro-choice just means proabortion. They're like, "Well, no, bro. That doesn't necessarily mean proabortion." It's like, "Well, what does it mean then?" Because pro-life's pretty clear on the abortion subject. But when someone says they're pro-choice, choosing what, dummy? choosing what what is the choice that they're considering in this moment? Where to eat for dinner, where to go on vacation? Oh, no. It's whether or not they're going to allow the baby that's inside their body to continue living because it's already alive. So, I think that's God's judgment on us certainly with the the way that the election has gone. But here's the deal. Again, I mentioned there's been wailing and nashing of teeth. People are kind of like freaking out. They don't know what to do. They don't know h how they can respond. And they're sad going into the office this morning and all these things. But guys, God is still good. Christ is still king. Christ is still on the throne. And the gospel is still a real thing. So you might be sad this morning sitting in your cubicle because your favorite political party didn't win or your candidate that you voted for didn't win or the state question you voted for was actually rejected by the rest of the electorate. And look, I understand. But the gospel still applies. We are saved by grace through faith, not by works, so that no man may boast. And that is true for everybody that accepts the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our job as Christians, to the Christians listening to this, is to open our mouths and to share that with other people. It is share with them what Christ has done for you, that he has saved you, that he has given you new life and eternal life. For the non-believers listening to this, when Jesus died on the cross, he died for your sins. Somehow, his death on the cross, even if you can't explain, it applies to you and it counted for you. And this was God's plan A from the beginning. He was going to give his creation, the apple of his eye, humanity made in his image, the pathway to be in his presence. He sent his son to this earth to die on a Roman cross to be the substitutionary atonement for the sin debt that you owe, that I owe, that everybody else you're ever eyeball to eyeball with owes. So yeah, things don't look good for the country right now. That sucks. But if you read the all of that discourse in the synoptic gospels and Jesus is talking about the end times, breaking news for you guys, it gets worse. It's going to get worse. Republicans are not going to lose every election from here until the rest of time. That's not really a thing, right? This is kind of the natural swing of politics. So, don't lose sight of the reason why you're here. Yes. Because of the shamont, that means we need to be in the political sphere. We need to vote. We need to vote for the right candidates. We need to vote for the candidates that are going to slow societal decay and lead to the most human flourishing. Yes. But you could have all of your favorite candidates win. You could get all the laws and legislation that you prefer passed. But if you don't have Christ, you have nothing. You will go to your grave having had a lot more check marks on the ballots that you chose and that you filled out and a lot more green thumbs ups, but you will spend eternity separated from God. And so do all the things to be a political animal. I'm pro all those things. But you need to be sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with other people. You need to be living it out yourself. You need [snorts] to be operating to the men here. You need to be operating as the heads of your household to the women here. You need to be operating as a helpmate made fit for your husband. Y'all together should be raising up your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. And you should point them all back to Christ. He's our only hope.
