0:31 This is on Dalton Life, a man's podcast on your host Kyle Thompson.
0:52 Let's get into it.
0:53 All right, guys.
0:54 If I sound funny, it's because I am sick.
0:55 I currently have COVID-19.
0:57 So does my wife.
0:58 So does my son.
0:59 So here's the thing is last week's episode or the episode that was released last week called
1:04 Foxhole funeral.
1:05 We're supposed to be released tomorrow accidentally released it early.
1:08 I already got some good responses on it.
1:09 So I just left it up.
1:10 I was not going to record anything this week, obviously, because I caught COVID over the
1:13 weekend from my throats.
1:16 Pretty destroyed.
1:17 The rest of my symptoms are fairly mild.
1:18 So you know, thank God for that.
1:21 So with this podcast today, I had to come to you for obvious reasons.
1:24 The last 24 hours have been absolutely insane.
1:26 My voice is going to break.
1:27 Okay.
1:28 I know I sound stupid.
1:29 I just, you know, drink a third of my body weight and honey.
1:33 I have two cough drops in my mouth right now.
1:35 I will probably take breaks to cough.
1:36 I will probably take breaks to take a drink of water or something like that.
1:40 Just deal with it.
1:41 And no, my opinions have not changed about COVID-19 now that I have it now that my family
1:44 has it.
1:46 We're all healthy.
1:47 You know, as of right now, none of the symptoms have gotten any worse.
1:50 We don't have underlying pre-existing conditions.
1:52 So we should not shut down the entire economy for this.
1:55 Last time I had the flu, it was certainly way worse than this.
1:57 My throat was way worse.
1:59 Last time I had a strep throat.
2:00 It is what it is.
2:01 I'm not talking about COVID-19.
2:02 I'm talking about perhaps the worst 24 hours in the history of the Republican Party in
2:07 the United States.
2:09 And you guys know that I don't like to hedge anything that I say.
2:12 Okay.
2:13 I like to figure out my philosophy on something that I like to go.
2:16 Okay.
2:17 And every now and then, that means I got to eat some crow and remove my foot from my mouth.
2:20 The only reason I'm using the word perhaps to hedge my bets here is because my brain
2:26 has been in a state of [inaudible] off for the last two or so hours watching what I've been
2:30 watching happening in my country.
2:33 And I'm saying perhaps because I don't want in this recency bias of experiencing what I
2:38 feel like I've experienced in the last 24 hours in this country to cloud any other really,
2:43 really bad day in the history of the Republican Party.
2:46 But there's not a day that I can think of from Lincoln till now that has been worse for
2:52 the Republican Party in the U.S. in the last 24 hours.
2:54 So let's begin on that a little bit.
2:57 So yesterday was the Georgia Senate runoff.
3:00 Okay.
3:01 So no one got more than 50% of the vote back in November.
3:03 And so they had to do a runoff election.
3:05 And in the wee hours of the morning this morning, so I'm recording this as of the 6th of January.
3:10 So most of you will probably hear this on the 7th of January or soon thereafter.
3:15 But on the 5th of January, okay, so that would be Tuesday that was yesterday.
3:22 There was the Georgia Senate runoff election in the wee hours of this morning, the 6th.
3:27 It was called that Democrat Raphael Warnock was going to beat Kelly leftler by 30, 40,000
3:33 votes.
3:34 So it was not going to be a close vote, not even within the margin of error, okay.
3:37 Then all the other signs throughout the day today pointed to the fact that Democrat John
3:41 Ossoff would beat incumbent David Perdue, okay, that race was actually called this afternoon
3:46 during some some other craziness.
3:48 And so it just really crazy set of circumstances that this would even happen.
3:54 Some weird things going on in Georgia.
3:58 This should not have happened.
4:01 These two seats should not have gone blue.
4:03 It's very concerning that these seats did go blue and we'll certainly talk more about
4:09 that here in a second.
4:10 Because that should have been the worst possible news in the United States today that the Democrats
4:17 are now going to have, you know, basically a majority of the Senate because it's a 50/50
4:21 split now, which means vice president Kamala Harris, again, just threw up in my mouth,
4:26 is going to be the deciding vote on any legislation that is tied 50/50, 49/49, 48/48, whatever,
4:31 she's going to be the deciding vote.
4:32 So basically Democrats have a majority that should be the worst possible news, especially
4:36 for the Republican Party.
4:38 But no, you idiots had to go out and make it worse somehow, somehow.
4:44 So earlier today, Donald Trump held a rally in D.C., you know, there were tens of thousands
4:49 of people there and I thought that was going to be the story of the day.
4:52 They were basically going to do this rally and then, you know, the electoral college was
4:57 going to move forward.
4:58 They were going to certify the results and, you know, Trump got to have his rally, but
5:01 the results were certified.
5:02 The constitution's all good to go, whatever, whatever.
5:04 At the Trump rally, Trump said that we will never concede and, you know, he did his kind
5:07 of normal thing, you know, never admit in public that you lost or something like that.
5:11 That's kind of a Trump thing, right?
5:14 But then in the afternoon, they began the process of certifying the results of the electoral
5:17 college inside the Capitol and then all hell broke loose.
5:22 People started storming the barricades.
5:24 They started storming the building.
5:26 There was a woman that was shot.
5:27 There was a report of an IED at the Capitol.
5:29 It was chaos, frankly, chaos all over the place.
5:34 There were pictures of people in Nancy Pelosi's office taking pictures in her chair.
5:38 There was someone sitting at where basically the speaker of the house or the head of the
5:43 Senate, the parliamentarian, somebody basically they were taking seats in there.
5:48 There was a few dozen people kind of walking around the Senate chambers.
5:53 To be honest, it struck me of like a terrorist video when you see terrorists that have taken
5:56 over these individual places, it reminded me a lot of some other things that you've seen
5:59 with the Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
6:01 But just a chaotic situation, it seems as of right now, I'm recording this as of about
6:06 just after five o'clock central standard time, that there is a curfew that has gone into
6:12 place in Washington, D.C.
6:14 It seems like they've cleared out the Capitol.
6:16 It doesn't seem like there have been any other injuries, certainly no deaths or anything
6:19 like that, but an absolutely crazy, crazy scene, okay?
6:25 And just to flow a little bit, the last 24 hours have been very, very saddening and disappointing
6:29 to me and infuriating at the same time.
6:33 I guarantee you I lost sleep last night because I knew as of last night that at the very least
6:39 Kelly Loeffler had lost a Raphael Warnock.
6:42 And so I was just holding out hope that David Perdue would beat John Ossoff to give the
6:47 Republicans the slightest amount of majority to hang on to that one seat majority inside
6:54 of the United States Senate.
6:55 But I kept waking up in the middle of nights like, oh man, this is bad.
6:58 This is bad for America.
6:59 It's very, very sad.
7:00 Just an absolutely horrible couple of months for the Republican Party, basically the worst
7:07 case scenario.
7:08 Everybody was talking about how the House of Representatives gained seats for the Republicans.
7:13 I think Democrats have like a nine seat lead in the House now, which means the House could
7:18 be up in future elections or something like that for the Republicans to take over.
7:22 But that was possibly good, but that has been wiped out by the fact that Joe Biden has won
7:26 the White House and the fact that now the Democrats have both houses of Congress.
7:30 Okay.
7:31 It's very sad.
7:33 It's a very, very sad moment, but I do want to give you some of my thoughts on a little
7:37 bit more of the thoughts on the Democrats taking over the Senate, but also what happened on
7:40 the Capitol, which is still unfolding at the Capitol.
7:42 I guess my first thought on the Democrats taking control of Senate is what the hell Georgia
7:49 Georgia seriously.
7:52 For decades and decades has been a Republican stronghold.
7:56 And I remember even in the last couple of years, hearing reports that eventually Georgia
8:00 will turn purple, right?
8:03 Because of all the people moving into the Atlanta area and the surrounding suburban areas and
8:07 you know, how, you know, it's becoming less of a rural state and more of an urban state.
8:12 And we heard how it was going to be turning purple.
8:15 And then essentially the state of Georgia elected Joe Biden president.
8:21 And then now we've got both Senate runoff races going to the Democratic Party.
8:28 I'm absolutely astounded.
8:30 I don't know what to say about the state of Georgia.
8:33 And at this point, guys, like, I don't want to hear it about, Oh, well, you know, what
8:38 about the, you know, the voting machines and, you know, what about all the different chicanery
8:44 going on and all the different races?
8:46 Guys, guess what?
8:47 Now we haven't had anything proven to us to make us believe that what happened in Georgia
8:52 was anything other than another victory for Democrats.
8:55 That's all we know at this point is going to end up looking like John Ossoff is going
9:00 to win by several thousand votes, Raphael Warnock, by tens of thousands of votes.
9:04 These were not especially close elections.
9:08 But the next thought that I want to kind of go into is Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff
9:15 might seem like they are a different type of person being elected in the Democratic Party.
9:22 But they are actually the perfect encapsulations of the new Democratic Party.
9:27 You have in Raphael Warnock, a man that hates America and believes that we're a racist country
9:32 to our core.
9:34 And then you have a person in John Ossoff, who is a young person.
9:37 He's 33 years old who loves Marxism and socialism and has never really had a real job.
9:43 He's a trust fund kid and it's just, it's crazy to me because I haven't paid that much
9:49 attention to Purdue or to Loeffler.
9:52 But it's like, how could the people of Georgia see them as worse options than a couple of
9:59 guys that literally hate the system of government that these people are voting under that would
10:05 love nothing more than to replace it.
10:07 And guys, this isn't an episode and I frankly don't have the energy to go into all the concerning
10:11 things about Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff.
10:14 But elections have consequences and we're going to be taking the consequences of this.
10:19 Another thought I had on them taking over the Senate, again, you've heard me say this
10:24 before, but all of you, I just can't vote for Trump people.
10:28 You Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, whatever, I just can't have that on my record.
10:32 Save it.
10:34 I don't want to hear any complaints out of you for the next several years.
10:39 I don't want to hear because you thought you were playing games.
10:44 You maybe thought at some point that the Senate was just going to stay red, but gosh, you
10:48 know what, you know, Joe Biden just can't be that bad.
10:50 Now look at what we're staring down the barrel of Democrat controlled house, Senate and
10:56 White House.
10:58 And before you go back and say, well, you know, Barack Obama had that and, you know,
11:01 it was two years and there was a big red wave and, you know, there wasn't anything that
11:05 bad that happened.
11:06 Well, we can talk about Obamacare being forced down our throats and that being absolutely
11:09 horrific.
11:10 But can you even pretend that those two years under Barack Obama are the same as the two
11:14 years that we're going to be experiencing now?
11:17 It seems like a completely different country because it is.
11:21 I think those years were 2009 and 2010.
11:24 We don't live in the same country as that now.
11:28 The stakes are so much higher and the threat to the constitutional republic is that much
11:34 higher.
11:35 But here's the thing, guys, is here's some of the horrific things that are now going to
11:38 be on the table for Democrats.
11:39 These are just to name a few.
11:41 You were already seeing people talking about ending the filibuster, adding states, packing
11:45 the courts, blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants, economy killing green policies, so so called
11:51 green policies, restrictions on guns and ammo, codifying Roe v. Wade into actual law since
11:56 it's not really law, more LGBTQ nonsense, you know, transitioning nonsense for children,
12:02 racial quote, unquote, justice, the elimination of student loan debt, attacks on religious
12:06 liberty, unchecked judicial appointees, you know, Supreme Court nominations.
12:10 It's not going to end.
12:12 That's the result of these elections.
12:16 So for any of you people that, oh, you know what, I'm pretty conservative fiscally and,
12:20 you know, I have some questions about abortion.
12:22 There's all these different things, but I just don't like Trump.
12:25 This is what you have.
12:26 And I wonder if this is the America that you want.
12:30 Another thing about the Democratic runoff that I want to talk about is before you can say
12:34 that the spate of things that I just listed is, you know, is a Christmas list for for
12:38 leftist activists, right?
12:40 It's not, you know, these are politicians saying that these are just blue check mark people
12:43 on Twitter.
12:44 Answer me this.
12:45 What is the fundamental difference between a leftist activist and leftist politician now?
12:50 Because I feel like there used to be a dividing line, a line of demarcation between a leftist
12:56 activist and a leftist politician, but the state of Georgia, the supposedly read state
13:02 of Georgia, just elected to activists to the Senate in Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff.
13:08 These people are activists.
13:11 These are people that just, oh, they have political leanings and, you know, they believe that
13:14 we can kill babies in the womb.
13:15 So they pretty much have to be a Democrat.
13:17 No, no, no, these, these people are wild-eyed Marxists and Georgia's like, yo, okay.
13:25 Which might show us how how strong the mainstream media is in basically hiding all the things
13:29 about those two people.
13:30 But again, don't have the energy to get into that.
13:33 Another couple of things on the Democrats winning.
13:35 Um, guys, I know the conventional wisdom would tell you that this is just going to be too
13:39 bad years, but I think this Democrat reign that we're about to see this unchecked Democrat
13:44 reign is likely to be at least four years, not two.
13:48 If you look to two years from now, there's not a very good odds that the Republicans
13:55 can take back the Senate.
13:57 And there's not really good ads that the Republicans are going to take enough seats in the house
14:01 to flip the house either.
14:03 And so I don't think Joe Biden's going to make it out of his first term, but you will
14:06 have a Democrat basically at the helm.
14:08 It's either going to be him or it's going to be his vice president, but at the same
14:12 time, sorry, I had to take a drink.
14:18 This is, this is not going to be a quick and easy thing.
14:21 Just think about the people that, you know, how long of the last four years seemed like
14:25 if you were on the, the, the right side of the political aisle in these last four years,
14:30 this has been a cakewalk.
14:32 This has been fun for you and you've really enjoyed it, right?
14:35 It's going to be even worse now that we're on the other side, okay?
14:39 The Democrats are going to go unchecked with their power and they don't have any limiting
14:43 principles.
14:44 So if you think about the first two years of the Trump administration, whenever they
14:48 had, you know, the full, full Congress and the White House, what were the extreme policies
14:53 that were passed?
14:54 You know, wasn't, you know, Planned Parenthood completely defunded?
14:58 Nope.
14:59 Didn't they, you know, basically expel every illegal immigrant from the country that they
15:03 could find?
15:04 Nope.
15:05 There was basically nothing that you could really point to and hang your hat on in those
15:09 first two years because there are limiting principles in the Republican Party.
15:12 There just aren't any in the Democratic Party.
15:14 And the last thing here is, honestly, the Republican Party is now on life support.
15:19 The future is very, very uncertain.
15:21 And some people are like, oh, that's, you know, that's hyperbolic or whatever, something
15:24 like that.
15:25 But guys, the, the Republican Party can't split votes.
15:30 It can't have split support.
15:32 That's why George H.W. didn't get a second term was because a lot of people that would
15:35 have voted for him over Bill Clinton actually voted for Ross Perot, which basically handed
15:39 the White House to Bill Clinton.
15:41 It's a massive issue.
15:43 And I just don't know where Republicans go from here because in the state of Georgia,
15:48 we can already see what happened.
15:49 The people that stayed home in the state of Georgia were rural voters, mainly white voters.
15:54 Those are the people that stayed home.
15:56 They believe what Donald Trump said that the election had been stolen.
15:59 And these people just were like, ah, you know what?
16:01 It doesn't matter.
16:02 Trump's going to end up in the White House somehow, I don't have to drive to town to
16:05 vote.
16:06 I mean, that that's going to be a problem.
16:11 Blacks showed up in tremendous numbers in the state of Georgia, which kind of, you know,
16:16 makes you wonder about some of the gains that were made in the black and Latino communities
16:20 during the presidential election.
16:21 You know, maybe that's just because, you know, blacks couldn't get behind Purdue or
16:24 Leffler or something like that, but it's a concerning thing looking at the Republican
16:33 Party and how things are going to improve in the future because when you have someone
16:38 that's such a lightning rod, but also someone that garnered such tremendous support as Donald
16:42 Trump, I don't see that in another candidate that we currently can see, you know, a Nikki
16:48 Haley or Tim Scott or Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz or, you know, just name somebody Dan
16:53 Crenshaw, even like, I just don't really see that.
16:57 Now I want to move on to the pro-Trump mobs that stormed the Capitol today.
17:01 And I will give this one caveat before I give you the rest of my comments.
17:05 There is this caveat that there is some reporting that's gone unsubstantiated as of right now,
17:09 because this is basically hours old that some of the people that actually stormed the Capitol
17:14 were in Tifa, that these were in Tifa people, known in Tifa people, people that were just
17:19 basically wearing Gadsden flag patches and, you know, car hard hats running and storming
17:23 the Capitol.
17:24 I've seen a little bit of that online, none of that can be substantiated.
17:28 So at this point, I'm going to treat the people that's on the Capitol as pro-Trump people.
17:33 That's basically what I'm going to go for.
17:35 So the first thought is what an absolute embarrassment you guys are.
17:39 How supremely un-American is it that you guys did this?
17:44 Like I'm sitting there with my wife and my son on the couch.
17:47 We're all sick.
17:48 We're having a good time of it.
17:49 And we're just shaking our head in embarrassment, watching these morons, these losers, attacking
17:54 cops, busing through barricades, busing outdoors, you know, taking pictures in anti-pilosi's office.
18:00 And you might think that that's funny.
18:02 Oh, the image is funny and all that.
18:04 Can you imagine how horrifying that is for the staff?
18:09 Can you just imagine being one of the people in there?
18:12 That's not funny.
18:13 It's not even a little bit funny.
18:15 First thought I have is this kind of is and it kind of isn't Donald Trump's fault.
18:21 I'll start with the latter.
18:22 It's not his fault because he wasn't telling people, all right, you see that Capitol over
18:26 there?
18:27 They're about to, you know, basically certify these election results.
18:30 They stole this from you.
18:31 Let's all get him.
18:32 He didn't do that.
18:33 Okay?
18:34 We got to be fair to Trump here.
18:35 But what did these people think?
18:38 Because for the last two months, Donald Trump has told them that they're trying to steal
18:42 the election.
18:43 They're trying to stop the steal, right?
18:45 We've all seen it and they had two months to prove in court that that's exactly what
18:50 happened.
18:51 The Democrats have stolen the election.
18:52 And guys, don't hear what I'm not saying.
18:54 This stinks to high heaven, high heaven, the November election stinks to high heaven.
18:58 You're telling me Joe Biden got 80 plus million votes, a dead person.
19:04 That amazingly, every inconsistency with voting or vote totals were only for one guy, always
19:12 in the favor of Joe Biden.
19:14 It really, really stinks.
19:15 But guess what?
19:16 The Donald Trump legal team and Trump himself have not proven anything.
19:21 And so don't make me hang my hat on hearsay.
19:25 Don't make me hang my hat on.
19:26 Oh, well, this stinks a little bit.
19:28 Okay?
19:29 Because at some point you either proved it or you didn't and you've got to move on.
19:34 But here's the other thing that I thought Joe Biden beat Donald Trump to the podium today.
19:40 Joe Biden got up behind us, his fake dais where it says, you know, office of the president
19:44 elect, which is not a real thing.
19:46 And he gives a message to the country.
19:48 And it wasn't a horrible message.
19:51 And then about 10 minutes later, Donald Trump releases a prerecorded video on Twitter.
19:56 He was not live.
19:57 And guess what?
19:58 Joe Biden's messaging was better, but Joe Biden said was somehow more clear.
20:03 And even though he's absolutely full of crap and we'll talk about more about these democratic
20:08 politicians being absolutely full of crap when it comes to these riots and this mob mentality
20:12 type stuff.
20:13 But I want to play for you what Donald Trump's video said, because I do want to pick apart
20:17 some things here.
20:18 So this is the one minute little thing that Donald Trump put on Twitter as, you know,
20:22 people were basically running through the Capitol running among.
20:25 I know you pain.
20:27 I know you hurt.
20:29 We had an election that was stolen from us.
20:33 It was a landslide election.
20:35 And everyone knows it, especially the other side, but you have to go home now.
20:41 We have to have peace.
20:42 We have to have law and order.
20:44 We have to respect our great people in law and order.
20:48 We don't want anybody hurt.
20:50 It's a very tough period of time.
20:52 There's never been a time like this where such a thing happened, where they could take
20:57 it away from all of us, from me, from you, from our country.
21:01 This was a fraudulent election, but we can't play into the hands of these people.
21:09 We have to have peace.
21:11 So go home.
21:12 We love you.
21:13 You're very special.
21:15 You've seen what happens.
21:16 You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil.
21:22 I know how you feel, but go home and go home in peace.
21:26 All right, so some of you will immediately attach to the, to the go home, be peaceful.
21:32 And obviously that's the right thing to say.
21:35 But on the other side of his mouth, he's still talking about the steel.
21:39 They stole this from you.
21:42 That's like somebody who's stark raving mad, ready to rip someone's head off.
21:45 And he said, you know what?
21:46 I agree with you.
21:47 You should want to beat that person up.
21:48 This is one of the worst things that could have ever possibly happened.
21:50 Yeah, man, I'm with you.
21:51 I'm with you.
21:52 But man, you really should go home.
21:53 You really should chill out.
21:55 And most people can't discern enough inside their souls to know that they should chill
22:01 out a little bit.
22:04 It was such an infuriating message and that's the thing with Donald Trump is he does have
22:07 some very infuriating messages.
22:09 Things are very, very unclear, but he gave nothing but fodder to people that hate him.
22:14 Because he could have just straight up came out and said, this is completely reprehensible
22:19 behavior.
22:20 If you're currently writing or looting or doing anything inside the Capitol, get out right
22:24 now.
22:25 We are sending in the military right now.
22:27 If you're still in there, it's going to be a problem for you.
22:29 Get out.
22:30 We will deal with everything else later.
22:31 But no, he had to say, oh, you know, this is a steal.
22:34 This is the worst thing that could have happened to us.
22:36 But hey, everybody should chill out.
22:37 I'm sorry.
22:38 What a horrible message from him.
22:40 Like he could he had 60 seconds to just not be an idiot.
22:44 And that was his message.
22:46 Man, like he somehow made Joe Biden look like the same one today.
22:51 Like his brain was actually working.
22:52 So frustrating, so infuriating.
22:55 Here's, here's the next thing in terms of what happened today, Republicans, they can
23:00 never again clutch their pearls about Black Lives Matter and Antifa.
23:06 And the mainstream media will make sure of it because somehow guys, this makes everyone
23:12 forget about what Black Lives Matter and Antifa have been doing for the better part
23:16 of a year.
23:19 Including and looting in Portland, creating their own autonomous zone in Seattle, you
23:23 know, the stuff they did in Kenosha, the stuff they did in Atlanta.
23:28 But on the day that they're certifying the election results, pro Trump people decide
23:33 they're going to bust out windows.
23:35 They're going to attack cops.
23:36 And guys, while I was putting up this audio for Donald Trump, the woman that was shot
23:41 earlier in the US Capitol, she's dead now.
23:46 She died like I don't understand.
23:51 Like I don't know what happened with this woman.
23:52 I don't know who shot her.
23:53 I don't know what happened.
23:54 Someone died today in the US Capitol because of thousands of people think that the election
24:00 was stolen from them, even though we haven't seen the evidence to prove that we haven't
24:03 seen the smoking gun yet.
24:06 And here we are.
24:09 Because you know what I said, like I was sitting in downtown Austin, the week of the
24:13 election, while they were boarding up all these streets and all these businesses in
24:18 downtown.
24:19 And I'm saying, yeah, they're not boring this up because of Trump people.
24:22 They're obviously boarding this up in case Trump wins, because you know, it's going to
24:25 be Antifa and Joe Biden, people are going to be destroying everything.
24:28 And then this happens.
24:29 I can never make that argument again because of these idiots, these morons.
24:35 Trump supporters have lost the high ground.
24:37 Republicans have lost the high ground in an instant.
24:41 It's absolutely infuriating.
24:43 But speaking in the mainstream media, because obviously they're never going to let Republicans
24:46 live this down.
24:48 Every Republican that runs for election for the next 50 years is going to have to give
24:52 their opinion as to what happened this day to the mainstream media.
24:56 You can miss me with all your outrage about this.
24:58 You know why?
25:00 Because the protests were mostly peaceful.
25:02 Because I heard all last year about the mostly peaceful protests where people were dying,
25:08 where businesses were destroyed, where lives were destroyed, but it was mostly peaceful.
25:12 Was this not mostly peaceful today?
25:15 There were just a few dozen people running through the Capitol, spraying crap and breaking
25:18 stuff.
25:19 But it was mostly peaceful.
25:24 The outrage that I'm seeing from the media, from CNN, from MSNBC, by Blue Checkmark, people
25:29 on Twitter, by Democrats today, save it.
25:31 I don't want to hear it.
25:33 Because the reason why you never decried Black Lives Matter and Antifa is because you liked
25:38 their style of writing.
25:39 You agree with their point of view.
25:41 And even if you don't, you know that they're useful because you knew that this was somehow
25:46 going to help you in the next election.
25:49 And those are your voters.
25:50 Those are your people.
25:51 And you don't want to [inaudible] off your people.
25:53 So miss me with that.
25:54 I'm out.
25:55 I don't care about your opinion on this.
25:56 I don't.
25:58 And here's the other thing.
25:59 This is a concerning thing for Republicans.
26:02 All the people that stormed the Capitol today.
26:06 All the people that just showed up to the Capitol today, even the ones that were peaceful,
26:09 which were the overwhelming majority of them, these people will only vote for Donald Trump.
26:15 And that is terrible for Republicans.
26:19 Republicans have won one popular vote in like the last 30 years.
26:23 And I think it was the second time George Bush run when it ran whenever he beat John
26:28 Kerry.
26:29 Okay.
26:30 So the Electoral College, they need it.
26:32 They need every single vote they can possibly get, right?
26:37 But this is the problem.
26:38 Donald Trump's campaign for 2024 starts the day that Joe Biden is inaugurated.
26:44 And he will suck the energy and the focus out of the room for anybody else.
26:50 And those people today are only going to vote for Trump, because here's the thing.
26:54 For me, as not a big time Trump supporter, I decided to vote for him this year because
26:58 it was either Trump or Joe Biden.
27:00 Those are my two options, my two legitimate options this year.
27:03 So I took Trump, but we have more options in 2024.
27:07 We don't just have Donald Trump.
27:09 We have a myriad of other people.
27:11 Okay.
27:12 I'm not going to name them.
27:13 I've named them in previous episodes and we're going to see people emerge and come in and
27:15 whatever.
27:16 We're going to have more options.
27:17 We're going to have more people in the menu.
27:19 But those people today, are they going to vote for Nikki Haley?
27:25 Are they going to vote for, you know, Senator Rubio?
27:28 Are they going to vote for Governor DeSantis?
27:30 Are they going to vote for Tucker Carlson?
27:32 Are they going to vote for any of these people?
27:34 No, these are Trump people.
27:36 These are Republicans.
27:37 They're Trumpians.
27:38 That is horrible for Republicans.
27:40 And you already have Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump and all these people coming out, basically
27:45 saying that if you're a Republican and you're not down to challenge these election results,
27:50 these horrible election results from November of 2020, that they're going to primary you
27:54 the next time you come up for election, right, that they're going to bust you out.
27:59 So they're creating their own little Tea Party movement.
28:03 Republicans can't afford to do that.
28:06 One group of people stayed home in Georgia and it got two Democrats elected to the Senate.
28:10 That group of people were white, a rural people, rural white people, they stayed home.
28:16 If those people came out and voted the way that they did just a couple of months ago,
28:20 those two seats go red.
28:24 That's a huge problem for Republicans.
28:26 My last thought on this here is that every major Republican immediately decried the use
28:32 of violence today, every single one.
28:35 So they went on Twitter.
28:36 They went on the news, you know, Ted Cruz, Dan Crenshaw, like, you know, the vice president
28:41 Pence, Donald Trump, every single one of them came out immediately and said, stop it.
28:47 Stop it.
28:48 Get out.
28:49 Stop doing this.
28:51 And we never saw that from Democrats and do not let people forget that.
28:58 Because all of a sudden, everyone's going to have this short term memory that all they
29:01 can remember is what happens with the Republicans today.
29:04 But when all these cities were on fire this year, where were the Democratic politicians?
29:10 Where was Barack Obama?
29:11 Where was Oprah?
29:12 Where was LeBron James?
29:14 Where were these people?
29:15 These heroes, these heroes of the Democratic Party, these heroes of progressivism?
29:19 Where were they?
29:21 You know, they would kind of give this tongue in cheek out.
29:23 You know, we don't agree with violence and you really shouldn't hurt people, but we understand,
29:27 you know, with all the systemic racism and we understand the bubble.
29:30 They would basically in one side, they'd say, you know, we probably shouldn't be doing this
29:34 on their side.
29:35 It's like, yeah, but we get it, but we can't let people forget that Republicans came out
29:41 immediately and said, this isn't how we do things.
29:43 I don't know if a single Republican right now, a single one, even even in my friends
29:47 that are happy about what happened today, like, so it's such an embarrassing thing.
29:53 But I do have a parting message here because I have no idea how I'm even still standing
29:56 right now.
29:57 But here are my parting message.
29:58 The pessimistic parting message and then an optimistic parting message, which will get
30:02 us right into the quick resilience boost, okay?
30:04 The pessimistic parting message is that the constitutional republic may be unsalvageable.
30:11 And I mean it.
30:13 I've thought about this and I've thought about this and I've thought about this and I would
30:15 love to eat crow on this later.
30:17 I don't know that we can put the genie back in the bottle.
30:20 The next likely four years of Democrat controlled White House in Congress is going to do untold
30:26 damage to our constitutional republic.
30:30 If they in the filibuster, that might be it.
30:34 That literally might be it.
30:35 This stuff that's going to be rammed down the throat to the American people.
30:37 And can you imagine if this is an eight year cycle?
30:40 Eight years of Democrat controlled house, Senate and White House.
30:46 I don't know that we can come back from that.
30:48 I'll know that we'll be able to come back from the spending, right?
30:52 A lot of that spending did start with W. Bush was blown out of the water by Barack Obama.
30:56 Hopefully it didn't stop at all under Donald Trump.
30:58 That's not sustainable.
31:01 The increase in influence in countries like China over the next four years, the dangers
31:07 with countries like Iran that we're looking to get right back into the Iran nuclear deal
31:12 probably like this this year.
31:16 The constitutional republic that we know that we've grown up under, it literally might
31:21 be over.
31:22 Like we may not be able to fix it.
31:26 We're going to be telling our kids and grandkids about what it used to be like when we could
31:29 just actually have the first amendment.
31:32 These things are actually possible.
31:34 I'm not being hyperbolic, okay?
31:37 This isn't the medicine talking.
31:39 How are we going to put the genie back in the bottle?
31:41 The government never gets smaller on purpose.
31:45 It's only going to continue to expand and when the government expands, it expands into
31:48 your life.
31:49 And I've thought about this, it's like, you know, but where would I go?
31:54 Nowhere else in the world has the freedoms that we have even right now.
31:58 There's no enshrined First Amendment in Canada.
32:01 Like if you heard some of the things that were going on in the government in New Zealand or
32:04 Australia and these other places were like, I could probably live there.
32:07 You'd be absolutely horrified by some of the things that these people are doing.
32:13 But I'm very pessimistic about our future as a country.
32:18 But this goes into the thing that I'm actually optimistic about.
32:21 And that's that Christians are going to have to rely on God because we can't rely on the
32:28 Republican Party, we can't rely on Big Brother, like Big Brother doesn't care about us.
32:37 And this led me.
32:38 This is just going to go right into the quick resilience boost before we let you guys get
32:40 out of here.
32:42 Is the book Take Heart by Matt Chandler?
32:44 So I've actually talked about this book on the podcast, I think it was the first year
32:48 that we had this podcast, but I want to read to you the description from this book.
32:52 And then I'll obviously give you the link to it.
32:54 Here you go.
32:55 Christiandom is dead.
32:56 And that's a good thing.
32:58 The Christian culture that has underpinned Western society for centuries has been eroded.
33:03 We're now at a point where to disagree with people on issues such as marriage and sexuality
33:07 is seen as hateful.
33:08 Christians are no longer seen as honorable, but as bigots.
33:11 But history testifies that the more people try to destroy Christianity, the more it grows.
33:16 So we are entering an exciting period of time because we're back in the place where Christ's
33:19 church can thrive at the margins of society.
33:22 In this stirring passionate book, Matt Chandler shows us we need Christian courage like never
33:27 before and how to live with compassion and conviction, able to look around positively
33:31 and reach out confidently encourages us not to be thwarted by fear, but to depend on God
33:36 and to have confidence that Christ will build his church despite continual marginalization.
33:40 It must read for any Christian who wants to understand how to stand firm and walk forward
33:44 in an increasingly secular culture.
33:47 So that book is a good, short, easy read.
33:53 I think it's going to be poignant.
33:54 I think it's going to be helpful because guys, we've got some very, very dark days ahead
33:58 of us.
33:59 COVID, we're probably going to have a third and fourth wave.
34:03 More people are going to die.
34:04 Your rights are going to be infringed upon.
34:06 Your life is going to be directly affected.
34:10 Your kids' lives are going to be directly affected.
34:11 Some of it without even your say so.
34:14 And I'm so sad.
34:16 I'm so sad for everything that we're experiencing right now as a people.
34:19 I can't believe what I've witnessed today on television.
34:22 I just I just want all this to go away, but I'm not going to be one of those guys that
34:26 just hides and don't be one of those guys that just wants to I'm just going to unplug
34:29 and go the woods and not deal with anything for a while.
34:31 This is real life.
34:33 And if we care about this country, if we care about the kingdom, we can't just bury our
34:37 heads in the sand.
34:38 We can't just like, oh, you know, I could I could read a book about what's going on
34:41 right now, but I think I'd rather read this novel about some love story just so I can
34:45 decompress.
34:46 No, we need to stay in the pocket.
34:47 We need to stay in the fight.
34:48 Okay.
