115 - The Feedback You Avoid But Need

In this episode, Kyle reveals some very personal feedback that he got from some of the men in his foxhole when he asked them some very pointed questions. Most guys don’t even attempt to solicit feedback so that they can try to improve themselves. Why is that? Let’s get into it…

Sample Email:

“I periodically do some self-reflection and evaluation just to see where I'm at with my development as a man. One way that I gain assistance with that is by reaching out to some key people that are close to me in order to get direct feedback. So, below are some questions that I'd like to get your answers on. The big key for me here is to make sure that the answers you give me are brutally honest. Obviously, you don't have to be needlessly cruel or biting with your feedback, but I want my improvements to be based off of truth.

No rush. I appreciate your help.

- How would you describe me as a man?

- How would you describe our friendship?

- What would you say are my best qualities?

- What would you say are my worst qualities?

- What elements (positive and/or negative) do you feel like I bring to our group of friends?

- If you could change one thing about me, what would it be and why?”
